I have been coming to this place for 30 years now. The décor and menu seems to be frozen in time, which can sometimes be comforting at a vacation destination. This place is a teeny bit pricey, but it’s a really great family friendly restaurant and fairly affordable. If you have little kids in tow, this is a great non-pretentious place to bring them to. There are seating options on the covered patio and inside the restaurant. Almost all of the items in this establishment are fairly greasy, but BOY what a treat. I highly recommend the onion rings. Make sure you have some Prevacid or Tums on you for afterwards. There is a limited menu of ice cream items. I recommend a chocolate frappé with malted milk, they are delicious and my family’s favorite. Ocean State Job Lot and USPS are both across the street from this location incase you need anything!

Wonderful place to get your fix of fried seafood. It was all incredibly fresh and at a reasonable price. Great lobster roll, fried clams, scallops, shrimp. Yum!

A comfortable place to get your favorite comfort foods. Fried clams, lobster rolls, broiled fish, all made to perfection. Plus every version of ice cream, milkshake, and frappé! Come-as-you-are dining area. Friendly service too.

So hungry saw lots of people here, and stopped. Got the combo with clams and shrimp oh my god yum yum. Clam chowder might have been the icing on the cake. No dinner tonight was great.

Fried, reasonably fast food at its best! We had a bunch of different meals and the food all tasted good. They even sell beer here! Cape Cod Red! The service at the counter is capably handled by kids working summer jobs. They are friendly enough. There is also ice cream for when you are done — if you saved room after the large portions. They give you a TON of fries with the meals. They offer a bunch, more than 20, flavored of soft serve ice cream. The blueberry and watermelon are delicious!

Nice seafood joint! Walk-up, order your food at the counter and have a seat inside or out on picnic tables. Good fried seafood, huge portions with the platters. Kid friendly… and no one mentioned the soft serve ice cream! Bunch of flavors and sundaes which was a great treat.

This is a Cape standard. My husband has been coming to this restaurant since he was a kid. They do have very good clam rolls! But Kream and Kone loses stars for me because they hardly have anything on the menu that’s not deep fried. Their side items are totally meh.

A Kape Klassic, offering fried seafood, lobster rolls and burgers. The portions are ginormous and tasty too. Was treated to a meal by the in-laws for the mom-in-laws bday. While the majority of the group go the fried clams(bellies and all because strips are for people who don’t know any better), I opted for a scallop and calamari combo. All platters come with a big portion of fries and full helping of onion rings. Onion rings are done the correct way. Thinly slice, light battered and fried to perfection. The fries are okay too. Not too think. The batter for the fried protein remained crisp and flavorful. Sealed in and added to the fresh seafood flavor, without being overly greasy. The place is a bit pricey, but worth the visit. Large covered patio for outdoor dining which just adds to the experience.

Stopped there after the beach, good fresh seafood. Relaxed atmosphere, booths indoors and picnic tables outdoors.

The food here is good. Good seafood, good burgers and tasty ice cream. The staff, however, is rude and unhelpful.

Our second favorite after Arnold’s. Fried seafood and lobster rolls. Yum. Don’t think they had steamers.

It’s okay. Nice staff, unimpressive place. Burger good, frappé good, fried seafood good. Nothing bad to say, nothing great to say.

Wow! Just had a delicious fish sandwich and onion rings. Perfect. Don’t let the modest look of this place fool you. It’s also nice and clean and roomy.

Group consensus for a multi-generational family outing with small children and senior citizens brought our large group to the Kream N Kone for lunch before a family wedding. I had voted for a seafood stand on the water and was bitter about having to eat on picnic tables in a parking lot off a busy road. So I am warning you that this review might be biased by me not getting my way. Needing to get a lobster roll while in Cape Cod, I ordered one at the Kream N Kone for my only non wedding meal that I would have. It was priced as a high quality lobster roll, an order for 3 people added up to $ 70 with sides and sodas. My sister asked if she could have the lobster not mixed with mayo knowing that some places offer lobster with melted butter instead. The cashier said this would not be possible as the lobster salad is mixed at the start of each day. I was really looking forward to the freshness of this lobster roll. I have never not finished a lobster roll in my life but this one was left 1⁄3 unfinished. This was not a reflection of the size which I can genuinely say was quite large. The majority of the lobster meat was shredded into little stringy pieces instead of big lobster chunks. The lobster was chewy and room temperature. I stopped eating the lobster roll out of fear that I would get sick during that evening’s wedding.

I don’t see anything terribly special about Kream and Kone. It’s just fried stuff with a side of French fries and onion rings. I’m not the hugest fan. The restaurant could use some redecorating to appear more welcoming. At the end of the day, they’re still doing pretty well, because it gets incredibly crowded after 6 pm. A good bunch of people, including most of my family will swear by it. Go figure.

I was expecting a bit more from this place given the amount of advertisements I’ve seen. I got a lobster roll. O.K. — a little more mayo than I like, ok priced at $ 14 with a decent amount of lobster meat. My companions got various fish and chips platters that were all very large and under $ 15. Fries were good — onion rings were so-so. 3 stars — good portions and decent prices.

A fast food joint focused on fish(and soft-serve ice cream). We got the GRILLEDSALMON platter and the BROILEDSOLE platter which both come with pilaf and cole slaw. Salty topping(a sprinkling of maybe bread crumbs and paprika?) but @ least there r a few healthy choices vs. the mostly fried menu.

I’m shocked that I haven’t written a review for Kreme ‘N Kone yet. This is the one restaurant that my husband demands we visit every time we’re in Chatham. The management of the restaurant changed this year, but the food is still delicious. We’re big fans of the fried haddock plates, which are so big they could be split by 2 people. They plate overflows with a huge piece of fried fish, and piles of onion rings and french fries. The only problem we’ve ever had is in ordering clam chowder. Since the cashier doesn’t send that order back to the kitchen(it’s already cooked and just needs to be put in a bowl) the staff often forgets that chowder has been ordered. I’ve seen my husband and others in our family have to return to the counter to ask for their chowder when order numbers are called that were placed after their chowder order.

I had a very mixed experience this trip to Kream n Kone, my first trip since the ownership changed this past year. The onion ring batter falls off immediately, leaving you with a greasy slimy onion. The tartar sauce tastes like straight mayonnaise with bottled lemon juice. That said, the fried seafood was good. I had the Mini Man plate, a small version of the Fisherman’s plate. The scallops were the best part. My wife really liked her fish sandwich. Maybe if they changed their onion ring batter recipe so it wouldn’t fall off in a greasy pile of mess, I could give this place another star. Until then, it gets 3.

I ate here in a bikini top and shorts. I didn’t care. I came here from spending the day on the beach and I was HUNGRY. Fish and chips and onion rings(HEY! FATASS!) for me and I have no idea what my fiancé got because I was too excited stuffing my face like barnyard animal. I also got a bud light draft. I’ve never gotten a bud light in my life and I don’t normally get draft beer. I guess I was feeling crazy that day because I bought two. I’m a cheap bastard, too. The price is right, oh and the bathroom was clean and that is good enough for me. I liked the swarthy man that was working the counter too.(wink)
