Spring is just around the corner. The Mustard Seed Landscaping and Garden Center in Chaska, Minnesota, open 5 days a week in winter, and 7 days in season. Our Garden Center carries a wide array of Trees, Shrubs, Evergreens, Annuals, Perennials, Koi Fish, Aquatic Plants, Christmas Trees, Wreaths & Roping as well as Unique Gifts, all awaiting your personal selection. Your children will enjoy our large play area and petting zoo complete with miniature donkeys, chickens, pygmy goats and Real Live Reindeer During Christmas. You will enjoy perusing our greenhouses and over 12 acres of exceptionally high quality plant material.

History

Established in 2003.

The birth of The Mustard Seed was November 19, 2003 when I filed the corporate documents with the State of Minnesota. Our first season began in April, 2004. Initially, it was Kay and me working out of our home office (the basement), hoping and praying a lot! Although we didn’t have very much money, we had good credit and we purchased lots of trucks and equipment. It quickly became apparent that we needed more help and we prayed some more. Suddenly, we heard from several past employees that they were looking for new jobs and, the next thing we knew, we had everyone we needed, Praise God!

Our business flourished right from its infancy; we felt and saw God’s provision everywhere we looked. His peace, power and protection has remained over us and we praise Him for the success He has granted us. There is nothing good within us that He didn’t put there; He deserves all the credit for the work of our hands. We exist to bring Him honor, glory and praise… may we be faithful in doing so!!!

I have been working full-​time in the Nursery, Landscape and Garden Center industry since 1986.

I have three main goals in life:

1. Grow closer to God and become more like Christ, walking in intimate fellowship as He grooms me, refines me and changes me to be the man He created me to be! This includes following Him wherever He leads.

2. Love and serve my wife, my family and others as God has loved me!

3. To be the best I can be at whatever I am doing, being defined not by what I do, but rather whose I am!

My vision for my life is to bring honor and glory to God in all that I think and say and do; to enhance the lives of my family and friends, my employees and my customers, spiritually, relationally, and financially; to share the love of Christ with others to the very ends of the earth, and to love the Lord my God with all my heart, mind, soul and strength!
