I come here all the time with my mom, but today my mom came in for a full set and they told her «We dont have time for a full set». Only two customers were in. Whenever I come in and its busy they always have time. This woman was just rude. Usually Id give 5 stars but this lowered it. Happy Nails has a better and much friendlier environment.

Really enjoyed my manicure and pedicure and the prices were very reasonable. The woman who did my manicure, Van, was extremely friendly as was the rest of the staff. I will definitely come back!

Very friendly staff, they made an effort to make sure you were happy. My mother in law and I went in for pedicures on a Saturday afternoon ~5:30ish?
We were promptly seated, they ran the water in the pedicure bowls (they do not use the plastic disposable covers in the bowls). The prices on the pedicure options range from $ 22 – 35.
We both just chose the basic since we were already running late and needed to get home. The two men doing the pedicures were alright at attention to our feet, very good at massaging our legs/​feet, and then the polish for me wasn’t up to par. There was edges exposed that were not painted, I checked them before I left but at that point we needed to leave.
Not even four days later several nails had chipped polish, I can imagine from not filing very well on the edges and being caught on socks.
I think it all depends on who you get at any pedicure place, but, there needs to be attention to detail here.

Worst. Place. Ever. DO NOT GO HERE. GO TO C & K NAILS. The worst nail experience I’ve ever had in the past 13 years I’ve been getting my nails done. Tried to simply get an acrylic fill and after waiting 20 minutes was given someone who was extremely rude. Tried to cut my nails down without asking me and then was noticeably rushing/​rude after I said something. After another awkward 10 minutes I finally asked for someone else to do my nails. Someone came to finish but they were all obviously tinted against me at this point so I didn’t expect a great job. Then when I went to pay the manager tried to charge me an extra $ 10 for «„„long nails““». If I had gotten something for less than $ 20 I would literally not have paid.

The first time I went here, I had a really pleasant experience. I had made an appt online and was seated immediately. Friendly nail tech. I got a gel full set with French tips. They looked great — albeit the gel was quite thick, so were obviously fake, but I wasn’t complaining. The next time, I had also made an appt — this experience was far worse. I arrived a few minutes before my appt time (which was the first appt of the day on a Saturday morning). There were only two techs working and were both already with customers. When I signed in, I noticed that one of the customers also had an appt for the same time, but the other did not have an appt. So… with only two techs working and two appts first thing in the morning, they took a walk-​in. And I was early to my appt, so it’s not like they bothered to wait. I sat there for an HOUR before they started my appt. Very apologetic, but still. As they removed the polish to expose the gel nails, they noticed some fungus growing under the gel on a couple of the nails. I used to get fake nails all the time — for years — and never had that happen. I questioned them about it and they said it was just water collecting as the nails had loosened, but I was skeptical. For my third appt, I just dropped in (because apparently appts are irrelevant) and had a pedicure. The tech did a great job, but about a week later, I noticed the nailpolish on my big toe was completely gone and the toenail had some fungus on it — again, something that I had never experienced in the several years of having pedicures elsewhere. So I have serious questions about their cleanliness. I wouldn’t recommend them which is really unfortunate since I had such high hopes after reading the many good reviews here.

Went to this salon while traveling through Charlottesville. One of the best mani/​pedis I’ve had! Great, friendly service and quality work!

3.5 stars — quick, inexpensive, and friendly nail tech. The regular mani was very basic and the polish put on thick, with some bubbling. Somewhat limited color selection.

Same issues again, even cut my finger to where it bled again. Only reason I went was no other salon was open.

Great service! Nail techs are friendly without being pushy! Manicure with gel nail polish done beautifully! Pedicure menu is extensive with reasonable prices. I just had the regular pedi & it was awesome!!!
So many nail places in Charlottesville are overcrowded & overpriced with RUDE staff that are very pushy. I am so HAPPY to have found Lotus Nails! They are polite and competent & do great work!

Eh. It was ok. I asked for the spa pedicure expecting the $ 45 one, and I was shocked when it was done in 25 minutes. When paying I was charged only 27, so that makes more sense. Still, it was just ok. I will say the guy vigorously cleaned the pedi bowl next to me when last patron left. That is important to me. Didn’t see autoclave for sterilizing but saw washing tools. Had there been autoclave I would have given 4 stars even with the mediocrity.

I was pleasantly surprised by this joint. Being so convenient to my parents’ retirement village, I took them over there and they took us in as a walk-​in, no appointment needed.
The location is clean and the staff is super-​friendly. Highly recommended.

New to the area and decided to give this place a shot. Had to say it was a wonderful experience. All the ladies and the one gentleman were very nice. My pedicure and gel set came out amazing. I would highly recommend this place. I never at one point felt forced or harassed to upgrade to anything. They were very sweet and knowledgeable. I will be coming back

I made appointments for a pedicure, arm wax, and gel nails. The pedicure and waxing went very well, but the nails didn’t turn out as well as I’d hoped. I wanted a French (pink w/​white tips) and immediately after my nails were done you could already see some of the white part of at least one of my natural nails (he didn’t start the white down far enough). That’s not even the worst of it, I was charged for gel nails, when the guy who did mine used acrylic!!! This was just before my wedding rehearsal so I already had a lot running through my mind and didn’t realize I was wrongfully charged until a few weeks later. Not fair at all. I won’t be going back!

I think I got gypped today at Lotus Nails and Spa. It was the worst nail painting job I have ever experienced. After reading so many great reviews about the place, I wanted to give it a try. The manicurist was friendly and nice but she did not do a good job at cutting my cuticles and painting my nails. She unevenly applied too much of the clear top coat on my nails, which not only took longer to dry but also created these tiny bubbles on my nails. Needless to say that I was disappointed and annoyed, but I might give it another chance with a different manicurist.

Got a great basic pedicure with hot stone massage and paraffin wax dip! Technician really knew what she was doing and did it well! Highly recommend-I’ll certainly be back again! I also adored the citrus scrub she used! Also I think the prices are more than reasonable for the service and quality you get.

Awesome service and technicians are very friendly and relatable. The sinks for pedi was clean and well kept, and the chairs are massage chairs not those silly benches to mimic an uncomfortable upscale spa. I witnessed the technician clean the pedicure sinks after every customer. The service was reasonably priced. The bathroom was clean and even offered feminine products for «that time of the month“best place in cville thus far, I shall stick with this place!

Went for 1^st time today to get gel nails put on. Nice, clean, relaxing atmosphere. Reasonably priced. Kim did an excellent job. My nails look fantastic! I’ll default be back. Can’t wait to take my daughter for a princess mani/​pedi!

Kevin and Kim welcomed me as a last minute client like they had hours left to end their day. Very relaxing nail salon! They are making this out of towner feel very welcome and relaxed. Very nice would recommend that you have your next mani-​pedi.
