Don’t waste your time going to other places in town because this is the place to go. Charlie and his team genuinely care about their work and their customers. I needed body work done on my door and Charlie explained to me all the levels of how it could be repaired and gave me options. He gave me a more than reasonable price for the work he and his team did and I am very, very grateful. Their work surpassed my expectations ten fold. When I drove away I noticed my car was cleaned inside and out and smelling fresh! I will not go to any other body shop from now on. This is by far the best auto body shop in Charlottesville, maybe even Virginia (or the world!)! We have been to B&W an embarrassing amount of times (don’t ask) but every time one of our cars has been damaged, Charlie and the workers outdo themselves. Charlie refuses to let a car leave his shop in anything less then perfect condition of repair. He will go to bat for you with insurance companies and will keep the car until it is done right. If you trust him and his team, your car will come back looking better then before it got damaged. Love love LOVE Charlie and the team at B&W and will come back anytime and keep recommending them to everyone! It is so nice to work with such an amazing family owned and operated business. Charlie, the business owner, has been fixing cars for 35 years and he knows his stuff inside and out. He was trustworthy and also just a delightful person to chat with.
His team repainted the bumper and the hatchback of my 2013 Toyota Prius along with a buff, wax, and touch up on the door. My car, which looked pretty sad going in, is SEAMLESS. I feel like I have a new car.
His pricing was super, DUPER fair for the work they did, which includes a loaner car.
I really can’t recommend B&W auto body enough. It feels funny to say that getting my car fixed was a lovely experience, but it truly was.

This auto body shop is down the street from my house and my biggest regret was not stopping in sooner.
It was on the later side one day after work (past 7p or so) and the office door was open with the light on, so I thought, I’m finally going to go in and see what may be possible — I had a hit and run with my car in San Francisco YEARS ago and never bothered to clean it up. Let’s just say, the damage on my car definitely made it look like a city vehicle.
I told Charlie I had a certain budget to spend to clean up the blemish and he completely exceeded my expectations with the job he did. Blown away. So grateful! Thank you Charlie! Guessing it would be impossible to find a kinder shop owner to have their work done.

B&W was nothing but wonderful and helpful in a situation that has been stressful and continues to remain unresolved. After another motorist hit my car, I have been fighting with her horrible insurance company for two weeks to try to resolve the claim. Initially the agent told me the car was not totaled, so I dropped it at B&W for repairs. The owner Charlie was so warm and receptive, and immediately concerned for my well-​being after the accident. I was relieved to be receiving such great service after dealing with terrible customer service from the insurance agency for the week prior! The insurance agent then called and told me he read the claim wrong and my car had been totaled the whole time, at which point Charlie called me to let me know that the insurance estimate was off by a whopping $ 4000, and that was just from their initial observation of the car. Charlie assured me that it was better that my car was totaled as it had frame damage, and he made every effort to store my car until I could come by and remove my belongings and retrieve the tags. After reading other positive reviews of B&W, I can attest that they truly are wonderful, honest, and caring, and I will definitely be returning to them in the future if I ever need auto body repairs done!

Charlie and his crew were wonderful. He replaced my front bumper for less than I was quoted elsewhere and was able to save me money by salvaging my headlight instead of replacing it. He also paid for me to rent a car, because my insurance didn’t cover it and his loaner car (which he lets customers use free of charge) was already being used. Once they ordered the parts they needed, they got it all done quickly. He was respectful of the timeframe I said I needed him to abide by. The only aspect that was less than perfect is that the paint they used isn’t an exact match for my car, but it was close enough. For the price, I didn’t complain. Overall, it was a great experience.

Highly recommend! Charlie took such good care of my son and his car and even spoke with me on the phone 800 miles away. He was honest, caring and fair and even gave us options. The car came out great and and the service was exceptional. Thank you!

After going to 3 other body shops in my search for the right shop for installation of aftermarket rear fenders, I ended up here, largely due to positive Unilocal reviews.
Charlie and Tami are great and honest people, and were communicative and straightforward throughout the process. They are not the cheapest out there, but if you care about your car, take it here — I can guarantee it will be done right. They also went the extra mile and even had someone meet me when they were closed to pick up the car, since I was coming from out of town.
Pete, the fiberglass and self-​proclaimed «special projects guy» is EXTREMELY experienced, and I feel honored to have had him work on my car. He worked his magic over the course of a few days on what turned out to be a poor quality set of fenders, and essentially custom fit them to my car. Words cannot describe the level of worksmanship he put into my car. He is also an awesome person, and I feel like I made a new friend in meeting him.
Bottom line — these people treated me like family, and I would recommend them to anyone.

They are INCREDIBLE! I was in between them and another auto body repair shop, and I’m extremely happy that I chose B&W auto body repair shop! First of all, Charlie was amazing because he explained in detail how they were going to repair my car. This gave me a lot of confidence to leave my car with them. They were also very conscious and nice to repair my car on time. I had to drive home a week after I had time to drop off my car and they made sure that I would have my car, like new, before I had to drive home.
In more detail, my car had a big dent in the right back side of my car (before the bumper), caused from someone backing up and crashing into my car. The damage was pretty awful but they made it look perfectly new. It looks as if nothing happened to my car. No small imperfections and the color matches!
I highly recommend them!
