The Dog Knowledge, voted #1 Training, Daycare and Boarding facility for 2011 in Charlotte Magazine, «Best of the Best.» Our 2 acre dog facility located in the heart of Charlotte off Wendover Rd. offers training in agility, service & therapy dogs, rescue dogs, protection, tracking, etc. as well as daycare and boarding where dogs sleepover in cottages rather than cages or kennels. We are the nation’s first members only people/​pup fitness & social club. However, our intense 3 – 6 week, stay and train boot camp packages are open to the public. Staffed by certified trainers and behaviorist there is absolutely nothing we can’t train your dog to do!

BD — Before Dogs: Debbie, an antique appraiser, spent the last 25 years leading individuals from around the US to Europe to buy antiques. But after 25 years of hotels and foreign accents, she returned to her first love, her love of dogs. This was partly due to losing her beloved Aunt and Uncle from Oklahoma who had spent their life breeding dogs to achieve the perfect service dog for children. They named the breed «The Christmas Minder» and her Uncle’s final wishes were for Debbie to carry on his work. So how do you make the transition from antique appraiser to dog behaviorist? Debbie responds, «In my case I sought out the best behaviorist and the best school in the country and spent 4 months living in a dusty little town in Texas learning ‘the knowledge.’
