Sadu Body Piercing & Modifications

Love this place. I’ve had my nose and a cartilage piercing done by Dianna and even recommended a friend. Quick and painless. And they always provide follow up care instructions without being pushy to buy products from them only. I will definitely return as always. The guy upfront was no bother. He’s sarcastic if anything but I don’t expect a Chic Fila greeting when I frequent piercing and tat shops.

Been here several times for piercings. I once went somewhere else before and never again. Diana is the best and the nicest. She is very caring, calming, and knows her stuff. I would recommend this place to anyone. The jewelry supply is decent. The front desk people are sometimes rude, but really, it is all worth it for Diana to pierce you. She has all my trust!

I’ve been in this shop on three different occasions, always lucky enough to miss any crowds that other reviewers have complained about. I’ve noticed that there has been an increase in the types of jewelry for sale, which is a plus. The guy who is upfront certainly doesn’t act like he has time to waste, but I’ve never encountered any rudeness from him.
Both of my piercers were friendly and knowledgeable about their work. I’ve had two microdermals done on my back. I was warned beforehand that the area I chose meant it couldn’t stay forever, but good things never last forever, so I enjoyed my piercing while it hung in there.

PROS:
Diana and Cindy know what they are doing.
I trust them to pierce me.
Prices are reasonable.
CONS:
Expect to wait.
Their jewelry selection (beyond the standard piercing jewelry) sucks.
PROS outweigh the CONS so I continue to go there. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for piercings or piercing advice.

It was actually my birthday when I came here. I wanted angel bites and my septum done and cindy did a really good job it’s healing great thanks to her advice and she was patient and so sweet. I’ll be coming back next year most likely and will recommend cindy and sadu to anyone, the place had a good vibe and everything was super clean.

Every time I ever go to Sadu I deal with Cindy, and she ROCKS. She is super awesome and efficient. I live in Durham, and I just don’t mess around with getting anything done there, not even jewelry changes. First of all, no one has near the selection that Sadu has, even when they are running low, and second, no one else I’ve ever been to is nearly as proficient in the art of body piercing. Everything Cindy has done for me has healed super well and been exactly how I wanted.
Cindy is definitely worth the wait for me, so I will continue my hike from Durham to Charlotte when I need any piercing work done. Thanks, Sadu, for keeping my body mods right!

Went on a Saturday at 4:30 and had I known I would be waiting TWO HOURS with only 4 in front of me I would have gone elsewhere. It’s not like the piercings in front of me were that crazy. Ears and nose are pretty basic. It was not even the wait that bothered me the most but more so the man that works there. Talk about having awful customer service, the guy could really afford a few pointers on how to be friendly. Especially when people are coming into your shop to give you their money. It was made very clear that he is only interested in the money given to him. He huffs and puffs around the whole shop and is overly flustered for no reason. Not a chill welcoming environment.
The women that work there was amazing. Super personable and very into talking with the customers. Familiarized with the jewelry and the prices. I always appreciate staff who genuinely take the time to get to know you in a sense.
So if you want a piercing I guess I would maybe recommend this shop… But not without letting them know how much of a prick the man is that works up front. Sir you need to get your life in some type of order and learn some manners!
So 2 stars goes to the man with the attitude looking for money and making that very obvious to everyone that walks in :)

Dianna is so sweet, took the time to explain my piercing and the healing process. Made sure I was comfortable and the wait wasn’t bad at all! Will definitely be recommending!

So first of all, I want to say that I really (want to) love this shop, despite a couple of flaws (in staffing).The selection of body jewelry is amazing, prices are good, they run sales, I got 15% off the other day on my whole purchase. The wait can be long at peak times, I think they should try to staff 2 people up front, because it can become very disorganized quickly. The piercer, I think her name is Diana, is so great! She is super knowledgeable and nice. They have the best nose rings and stretched ear jewelry, really cool stuff.
Buuuuuuuuuut…the guy that works up front it THE WORST. Every time I have been in there, he has been so so so rude, completely unhelpful. He acts like he doesn’t have time to deal with customers or answer their questions, which by the way, he can never answer my questions correctly, sometimes he just won’t. He sold me some jewelry the other day that he measured (haphazardly and wrongly) with this metal thingy for sizing stretched lobe jewelry, my soft plugs/​tunnels now don’t fit because he measured the outer DIA of the flare. $ 10 wasted. I needed 4g and he sold me 6g. It was so hectic in there, I felt rushed and pushed out the door.
I really like this shop, its the only place I ever want to go for my body jewelry. But this male staff member makes me not want to shop there, sometimes I decide not to make the drive up there because I wonder if he will be working and I will have to deal with him.
Now I am stuck with plugs I cant use after driving an hour to get there, and he was ugly to me the whole time I was there.
SADU needs to have him trained on how to measure plugs properly and he needs to be told how to give good customer service and not be so rude and such a grouch, or replace him with someone who can.
That being said, ALL of the women who work there ROCK and are great every time I have shopped with them behind the counter/​been fitted with a new nose ring, etc.

Went there to get my Septum pierced. It was a Thursday afternoon so it wasn’t very busy, didn’t have to wait long at all. It was about $ 50 for the piercing and jewelry without the tip. Diana did my piercing she was really nice and did it really quickly. Didn’t hurt that much and has been doing great so far. I was very satisfied with the piercing experience. :)

I only go to Sadu. They know what the hell they are doing. Point blank period. Cindy, Diana, and Keith are awesome. I’m a regular.
ETA: This place always has an hour wait on Sunday or weekdays after work. I prefer to go when they first open to avoid having to sit and wait.

Great place to get a piercing. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The lady who pierced my niece’s ears made her feel comfortable and at ease.
I would highly recommend Sadu to anyone looking to get a piercing or just looking for new jewelry for an existing piercing.

Did a good job. But I thought for the quality of the facility, unpersonable staff, and hour wait (with one person ahead of us), it was kind of expensive.

My mom and I just went to SADU to get our midways pierced and we had the most pleasant experience and highly recommend this facility. Being relative amateurs at piercings, we weren’t sure where to go or what to expect but gave SADU a try after reading the reviews on Unilocal.I was so appreciative of the time and attention both Mike and Cindy gave us, but especially Cindy while we were in the piercing room with her. She is amazing with people and instantly puts your nerves at ease. I expected to feel rushed, especially with how busy the place was, but she was patient and caring and gave us her undivided attention. Thank you Cindy, we will be back!

I have been here twice; first time to get my helix pierced and second time to get my conch pierced and both times have been absolutely phenomenal. I got both piercings done by Dianna. She is super nice and very professional and the staff was awesome. I will absolutely recommend this shop to anyone looking to get a piercing.

Very clean and full of pretty goodies for all your body mod needs. Dianna is great, she did my septum super quick and I am so happy to have it back in after so many years of not wearing it. If you’re new to piercing, they will take their time to educate you so you have a great experience. If you’re not so new to the game, they will make you feel right at home. BONUS they have an amazing selection of stone, organic, and glass jewelry for you to peruse, all reasonably priced to boot. This is a definite go to if you need a piercing in Charlotte.

It doesn’t matter what state we move to since my husband is in the army. This is the only place I trust with my piercings and to buy body jewelry. They are clean, professional and sways feel welcome there. The girl that did my piercings was a pleasure to have and she did an amazing job. I loved that I could ask questions and she was very patient with me. I will not ever get pierced anywhere else ever!

I had gotten my ears pierced in 6^th grade and after many years with a earring hole that was a bit lower than the other, and prevented me from wearing certain earrings, I headed to Sadu to see if anything could be done.
Now I had hated my first two experiences with piercing, so I wasn’t too stoked to have to get another one.
I couldn’t tell you if I made an appointment or walked right in, but I was one of the only people there and I was waited on promptly. They assessed the situation, agreed that the piercing sucked and told me my options.
All I cared about was that they could fix it! Fast forward 15 painless minutes, I had a new aligned, centered, amazing ear piercing. It was so pain-​free that I even considered getting more things pierced.
You can tell that they definitely want to get the job right and are serious about their piercings, even just simple ear piercings.

I technically should have more than one check in here, but I always get so excited going here that I always forget. I am a ball of happy when I come in and when I step out. Diana is the absolute best! She is kind, very informative, patient, and just awesome. Been there for two piercings and a few other time for some sparkly jewelry change.
I have heard the rest of the staff is awesome too. You will never have disappointment when going in for a new piercing or piece of jewelry.
Hell why do you think they have been here so long?!

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Came here to get my nose pierced four months ago and I’m back today to get my little sister pierced and get a new piece of jewelry.
Come here for any piercing if you want a clean, safe, respectful environment.
