Established in 1946.

Patterson was founded by current owner; Dodson Patterson’s grandfather in 1946 as coal and fuel oil company. Since then, we have transformed into a Full SERVICE Heating and Air Conditioning REPAIR company serving the greater Charlotte area. We work on and can repair any brand of heating and air conditioning equipment.

Business Owner

Dodson Patterson went to work for the company part time in 1970 at the age of 16. He worked after school and on summer breaks through high school and college. Then Dodson joined the company full time in 1977. He worked as a service mechanic, residential installer, service manager, and eventually established the residential replacement department. Since then, he has grown company into a full service installation and repair company serving the greater Charlotte area.
