long story short.. . When I showed interest online I received a call very quickly and told Charlie I was interested in 2 specific cars that there was nothing else I wanted and I had no money down. he guaranteed me that I would leave with one of those cars. So I get there and he tells me I can’t get either of those cars I have to get something else. He then tells me that sold one the night before and the other they wouldn’t be able to do with no money down which of course I was unhappy about because I explained over the phone that I was coming from out of state almost 2 hours away and would only come if I could get one of the cars I wanted He could have told me this the NIGHT before so I wouldn’t have wasted time coming up there. So he goes back to talk to his «manager» and says I could get the other one that I was looking at online but its at the other dealership. We drive to the other dealership to pick it up and there is this HORRIABLE smell in it Charlie agrees the car does smell «funny» and points out to me that it drives” funny” as well. So I decide that I’ll get the first one that they offered me even though its not the one I really want. And guess what. They tell me I can’t get it without 1500 down. I ask for an explanation. And of course they isn’t one. When I walked in that morning they were pushing me to get that car even though I said I didn’t want it and now that I want it I cant have it unless I have money down that I told them I didn’t have? I ask to speak to manager since Charlie has no idea what’s going on I really wanted to know what I couldn’t get the car. So I wait and wait as employees go in and out of the manager’s office laughing and eating I watch 3 people go in and tell him that some one wanted to speak to him and still nothing. So I asked to speak to him a fourth time and I finally get the assistant manager who finally explains to me what I’m unable to get the 1^st car he assures me that they stand by their cars and there is nothing I should be worried about because of how they check their vehicles to ensure they are «up to par». And I get the keys we go outside and I realize that I don’t have the key to the locking lug nuts. Charlie goes inside and comes back to tell me when I get home to go to a dealership and call Adams so they can pay to replace the lug nuts «it will only be about 20 $». I get home and call around. A dealership in my area charges 60 – 70 $ to replace it. I call Charlie and he tells me he will check with his manger and give me a call back. 2 days go by, nothing I call him back and he tell me to call the other store and talk to «Josh» I call and leave messages and no one calls me back. .. long story short Charlie tells me they aren’t paying 60 $ to replace my lug nuts that I can drive back up there to get them replaced or they can send the some lug nuts and I will have to pay for labor for the old locking ones to be broken and replaced. Instead of Charlie getting with his manger to correct the issue he tell me to «call Josh» I ask him if this is the arrangement you came up why do I have to call him he tell me «call josh» I ask him again why am I playing phone tag between u and your manager if this was something you were suppose to have set up he tells me again «call josh». So I call josh of course hes unavailable I leave a message again and he calls me back completed disrespectful «OMG I can believe all this over a freaking lung nut, lady I’m not paying 60 $ to replace a lug nut, did u call Charlie? And what did he say? OMG this lady. It’s a freaking lug nut I cant believe you’re acting like this over a lug nut» I stayed as claim as I could but when he started yelling at me over something his sales person did I couldn’t take it any more so now we’re on the phone yelling at each other over a lug nut that THEY said they would replace. Don’t go to the Tryon location if u do STAY away from Charlie. Charlie and Josh together that are two of the most unprofessional people I have every had to deal with in my life. Evan after going to several shops in my area they offered to only cover 50 $ of the labor to get the lug nuts off??? I should I walked away when I had the chance. Thankfully I only have to deal with the finance company once I but ive never been so belittle and disrespected for no reason in my life. over something that was promised to me that I had no control over. Don’t do it to yourself stay away. wish there was enough space for me to type everything that happen real sketchy. REAL REAL sketchy

Called to get pricing and more information on a vehicle. Was rushed off of the phone and never called back with any information. I called again and someone answered and then hung up. No idea how the dealership has any customers at all…

DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!! Sketchy place, sketchy people and BROKEN DOWN CARS THAT ARE BEING RE-​SOLD!!!
I had my worries about a private dealership, but after reading the online reviews I decided to check it out anyway. (I’m assuming a BUNCH of these reviews are paid for). This dealership was also covered by USAA which is the insurance I use, makes me wonder if USAA knows who they are liable for).
I drove an hour away to get to this dealership after having found the car I was interested in online. The salesmen were very friendly and funny however not so much professional, I think there’s a fine line when selling something as valuable and expensive as a vehicle.
When we took a look at the car (White Nissan Altima) IT WAS A MESS! They had not even attempted to clean the brown sticky gunk splattered all over the inside of the car, along with burn holes in the ceiling. They explained how they only clean IF it had been sold, otherwise they keep it as is because they «don’t have time.» HOWEVER, online this vehicle looked brand new. What a turnoff this was and is for customers.
When I inspected the outside of the vehicle I noticed that there was rust (which is like a cancer) inside the car wheel which was worrisome, the trunk was uneven which could have been a result of a un-​noted wreck?, along with one of the pipes underneath the trunk hanging lower than the other. They assured us that this could be fixed and was OK.
It was funny because the manager came outside to take a look at the car with me and when I asked him a few questions about the mechanics of the car, HE HAD NO CLUE WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT! Was just another red flag.
We took it for a test drive (guy didn’t even make a copy of my license before), and liked it the way it drove. I decided to have it inspected JUST to make sure everything was as good as they said it to be. (Mind you they assured me that the car had ALREADY BEEN INSPECTED and was good to go).
I came back a few days after to pick it up for inspection with a friend, and all they said was «if you wreck it you tow it,» and handed me the keys.
I took it to a Nissan Dealership and had it inspected inside and out for $ 100, and was nothing but SHOCKED when I looked over the report for this vehicle:
Dead ead battery (died while getting inspected),
Nail in the tire,
Low air-​pressure in tires (almost flat)
Low tread (tires were needing to be replaced),
Broken belt,
Extensive RUST on wheels and underneath car, effecting breaks and reliability of car (mechanic said rust will always continue to spread and makes it almost impossible for mechanics to do work on cars),
Numerous codes were shown that had been previously erased (mechanic was unsure as to why they were erased and couldn’t identify them),
Breaks to be replaced,
Rotors to be replaced,
Etc.
Overall, this dealership was trying to sell a vehicle that was said to have been previously «inspected» by their mechanics and required no repair work,
WHEN REALLY it required thousands of extra dollars in repairs alone — which would still not make it a reliable vehicle.
I drove the car back FURIOUS, bringing the reports with me to show. The salesman was «shocked» and again assured me that their mechanics had looked it over.
Either their mechanics are extremely unexperienced or their dealership is a lie.
Overall this dealership is both unsettling and unreliable. I was SO disappointed in my experience here, thank God I spent the extra $ 100 to get this car inspected or else I would’ve been stuck with a piece.
By the way, they were trying to sell this car for almost $ 15,000.

dont let the nice dealership fool you these guys are unprofessional and lying scum… i put a down payment of $ 1000 and they sold me a car that was required more then the $ 1000. why did they do this because they sold me a messed up car and didnt want me to take my money else where nd they lied to the credit union and said i put the required downpayment ($ 2000) and didnt fill me in on the plan so 2 days later the credit union called to verify info and they asked me how much i put down and i told them $ 1000 because thats what i payed! and the said «but sir it says you payed 2000» and i was confused. and said noo i didnt so they said they will call back 5 mins later adams called and said if u didnt. pay that bring the car back or tell them that u payed the 2000. they wanted me to be in on the lie to brong me more drama… dont buy here …

Can I rate them negative stars??? The worst place ever to get a car. Horrible salesmen (if you could even call them that). Horrible customer service and then when I decided not to buy from them they got very upset and started talking to me like I wasted their time even though I said from the very beginning that I was «only looking» and they tried to pressure me to buy a car that I didn’t even want or liked. I would never recommend this place to my worst enemy. If this was the only place on earth to buy a car I would rather take the bus for the rest of my life. Buyer beware!

As everyone else on here has said. Stay away from this place. I had a car lined up. I called my insurance company and it would have been to much for me to insure the car. After the deal was cancelled and I looked at other dealers, I received a call from their finance manager Josh asking why I went somewhere else and bought a car «even though I hadn’t». He proceeded to call me names and threaten me over the phone. Guess this guy was mad he didn’t get his commission. Sorry dude!

I really was hoping for a great experience from this place as I bought a car from this place back in 2009 when it was called Adams Auto Mart. You would not believe how horribly I was disappointed walking into this «new» dealership.
The receptionist came off very cold when I asked her questions. She didn’t seem to want to be bothered. I tried to tell her about my previous experience and how excited I was to buy from them again. All she did was tell me to go sit down and someone would be with me. I felt horribly ignored.
After waiting about 20 minutes, finally the Sales Manager, Everett Adams, came to get me. When I walked into his office, we were followed by two other employees who seemed to think my business was of lesser importance than any inquiry I was currently making. Sitting down with Mr. Adams, I asked him how he was, he just replied, but didn’t return the courtesy. I told him my name and I waited for him to tell me his, but it only lead to awkward silence. He seemed very cold and trying to hard sell me on a car (Cadillac Eldorado) without being very concerned with my questions.
I had to ask to see the car I wanted to see five times before he proceeded to walk out with me to inspect it. When I had questions about the condition of the car, it was quickly brushed off and retorted with the gist of «Well, with a car this old, it’s to be expected.»
While I was asking more questions, he proceeded to turn to other customers in the lot to ask if they needed help which made me feel like my business was not important at all.
I was SOOOOO disappointed by my service and mainly because I was so happy to buy from what I THOUGHT was the place I bought my car from so happily only six years ago. This place definitely lost a customer in me and more so my faith in dealing with «car salesmen».

I purchased a car from here, they have a terrible setup. Initially, the car I came in for wasn’t even the car displayed online. I found a white Hyundai Sonata and turns out it was an Elantra. Talk about an attempt to bait and switch. Either way, I decided to check out another car. Their sales person Vinny wasn’t very knowledgable at all as to what the cars facts were. He knew next to nothing to the features of the cars, nor the specs. He additionally would mention cars to me, that they didn’t have on the lot when we looked for it. They claim they have low prices due to being a «wholesale» business open to the public, but that’s clearly a lie. They wouldn’t even clean my car because that would mean the cost of the car would have to «go up.» Are you kidding me? I’m moving to the area and I will tell as many people I know not to go here for the car. Luckily the car I got was still under warranty because if not, I’d be out of luck with a lemon.

This was one of the worst experiences I have had searching for a car. I found this dealership through Google and saw a corolla that I thought I liked and submitted my information to be run for it. Fast forward to my arrival at the dealership. I test drove the corolla and wasn’t in love so I asked were there other cars I could look at that would be the same price we had discussed via email (245.00 a month with 500.00 down payment. He told me that there were 2 – 3 cars that would be within the same range and at the most my payments would go up 40.00 which I was okay with. I was lead to a 2013 Chrysler 200 and fell in love on sight. I test drove it, took it to get checked and was content with my decision. Fast forward to the sales rep taking my card to take the down payment. This is the same man who I had been emailing back and forth for over a week about payments, down payments, etc so you would think he would know how much to run my card for? Nope. He over drafted my account by taking a down payment of 1000.00. When I saw the receipt and told him that is not what we discussed he tried to say he never told me that. I still had the emails so I showed him where he had said MORE THAN ONCE I was approved for 500.00. He walked off spoke to (I am guessing) the manager and said I could do the 500.00 and that my $ would be refunded. After this I was a little ticked but still wanted the car so I went into the financing persons office and began filling out the papers to purchase the vehicle. Then as I am reading I see that the monthly payments are 360.00. It went from 245.00 with MAYBE an extra 40.00 a month to 360.00 with no notification! I immediately stated that I had proof (emails) that this is not what I was told but the financer said there was nothing he could do about it and asked if I wanted to switch back to the corolla. I didn’t love it but I was in such need of a car I was willing to settle for it… until he told me the corolla payments would be 320.00 a month! This is the car I originally applied for and was told 245.00! After that I was so disgusted with the switches I went home thought about it over the weekend and came back in to get a refund for my $ 500.00 downpayment. I was lied to and given misinformation way too many times. What added insult to injury was after I told the sales rep I wanted a refund he immediately handed me over to the receptionist and said not another word to me. I was there at least another 30 minutes waiting to get my refund and he walked past me multiple times and never said a word. Maybe others experiences are not the same, but I will never recommend this dealership to anyone or make any attempt to purchase from them again. I am now purchasing the same car but a year newer, 6000 less miles, and $ 2500.00 cheaper from another dealership across town.

I purchased a car from Adams Auto Group in June 2013. The online car buying experience was OK. Everything afterwards has been terrible. They did not send me the Title. Had to call several times since this was an out of state purchase.
The photos were misleading. The car did not come with a 2^nd key, per the purchase folder from when they bought it at an auction. And they hired the cheapest transport company who broke the front bumper which cost over $ 500 to fix. No replies to repeated efforts to get a claim check from the driver or from Adams Auto group.
I would not recommend doing business with Adams Auto Group.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE!!! They have Flooded cars listed as clean Carfaxs online. Molded, mud & rusted and they look at you and say «To Bad». Bottom line… They LIE!

The people here are the biggest liars and crooks EVER! Especially Teddy (if that’s even his name). He tries to gain your trust with a bunch of BS and talks about them being God fearing people there. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME. Pay the extra $ 500‑1000 you could save here and go somewhere else.
They will tell you anything to sell a car. They try to cover up serious imperfections with the cars to get them off the lot. They sell a lot of cars that have been in multiple accidents, but may not be reported on carfax.
They did me wrong on so many different levels I don’t even feel like typing all of it! Sold me a car with a tire they knew was going flat. (Imagine waking up to a flat tire after purchasing a new car) Changed it out with another tire on the lot a week later and took the tire pressure sensor off with it and said the light would reset itself (we found out later when we had to replace). Now all the sudden the «no passenger airbag» light is coming on. Told me the bumper needed to be repainted because of a few scratches, when really there was an issue with it that they tried to cover up and bond together. Went over a pothole and the bumper came out the side of the car! There’s more to tell but why waste more time on them.

and elsewhere are FAKE! and obviously made by employees.
Needless to say, they will not get our repeat business or referrals.

Warning… these guys are shady. My husband and I went ready to purchase a van (check in hand) They could care less, customer service was non existing… there practices were shady and there was some shady clientel there… i did not feel safe or wanted… stay away!
