The best! We have been using DoGone walking for about 5 years. Marta is very professional, reliable, smart, really cares about the dogs, and has great «dog sense». My dog loves her group walks, she trusts Marta and so do I!

Charlestown and the surrounding communities are so lucky to have Marta and her bunch at doGone Walking. Our pet-​sitter in Cambridge had to rush out-​of-​town on a family emergence, and was only willing recommend Marta to us. We have two cats, and Marta was kind enough to text us a couple of pictures while we were away. She’s very professional, so we’re really looking forward to having her come again.

I can not say enough about doGone Walking service. Marta and Emily really are the best. We rescued a three year old dog 6 or 7 months ago and they have given him so much love and attention during the day when my boyfriend and I are off at work. He pulls far less on the leash now. They are unbelievably flexible and understanding, I have booked walks on short notice and they are always able to accommodate Chance. Rain or shine, I have full faith that Chance is getting the exercise he needs during the day and it is a huge relief to not constantly have to worry about how he is doing during the day.
I can not recommend Marta and Emily enough!

Just thought it was worth an update to note that Marta and Emily continue to provide incredibly consistent, responsible and loving service to our doggies. We could not be happier with them. Two years and nothing but tons of praise and thanks for these amazing ladies.

I can’t say enough good things about doGone. I moved to Boston 18 months ago and originally had another cat sitter who just wasn’t working out (really unresponsive, made me worried about whether they were even doing their job, etc.) I randomly met Marta in my apartment complex, where she was coming in to check on a client’s pets, so I asked for her contact details. I’m so glad I did!
She and her team have been SUPER helpful. I travel a lot for work and they take care of my cat, giving her lots of love and making sure she has food, water, that the apartment temperature is okay, etc. There have been multiple times I’ve contacted them really last minute and they’ve been so accommodating in being able to help me, despite the late notice. They’ve even come in to take care of her during a snow storm! You can just tell they are all real animal lovers and very dedicated to making our furry friends happy.
Definitely get in touch with her — you’ll have great peace of mind that your pet are VERY well taken care of. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

Absolutely five stars to Marta and the Dogone Walking crew! I feel very grateful to have found her. After succumbing to a whim and adopting a super high-​energy, athletic breed to live in my small, Charlestown sized 1BR condo, I was worried that maybe my poor dog wouldn’t have enough ways to run out his energy. However, I had nothing to fear. He loves Marta’s 40min, fast-​paced walks and I always come home to a calm dog. Not only that, but as an ex-​vet tech, Marta alerted me to a possible health concern (swollen cheek, possible tooth abscess) that I hadn’t noticed. Makes me feel very comfortable knowing my pup is in such caring, knowledgeable hands.
Marta’s services are very reasonably priced with discounts for multiple walks. She has also been able to walk my pup during off hours when I have been caught at work. And to top it off, she has a super convenient website with online service scheduling and payment options.

doGone is fantastic. I rescued a very energetic border collie mix this winter and was really scrambling to get her enough exercise. I decided to bite the bullet and employ a walker, but I was worried it wouldn’t be enough. Not the case. Marta did a fantastic job of matching my dog with other equally energetic dogs. and also walked her at a fast clip which Riley (the dog) prefers.
Besides dog walking, I also used doGone to sit the dog for the day when I was deathly ill (a real life saver) and for boarding. The boarding help was realIy awesome. I’d come home from trips at all kinds of different hours and Marta always worked around my schedule so my pup wasn’t sitting idol at home. Riley was always fed, walked, and at the perfect energy level (exhausted) when I go home. Perfect.
Marta also runs a very professional organization. She’s trustworthy and more honest than anybody I’ve worked with a very long time (refreshing). She uses an online system for scheduling walks and even provides monthly statements with all services itemized.
On leaving Charlestown, doGone and Marta are definitely something Riley and I miss already. Keep up the great work.

I wish I could give doGone more than five stars. Marta deserves twice that. I found her through another dog walker who wasn’t accepting any more clients and Marta lived every bit up to the glowing recommendation she was given.
She has been walking my nearly 15-​year old lab-​chow mix for over 18 months now and she continues to amaze me with her dedication and honesty. She walks the dog when she says she will and keeps accurate records for billing. She also watches my dog whenever I am out of town (which is at least once a month). Sometimes when I return I get the feeling my own dog is depressed to see me back since it means he only gets to see Marta 3 times a week.
My dog is not just a pet or companion. For me, he is family. And it takes a huge amount of trust to give someone a key to your house and ask them to watch after your dog. doGone has been flawless in taking care of my dog. She even took him to the vet when I was out of town and he became ill. She’s also gotten food for him at the store when I foolishly forgot to pick some up myself.
I haven’t come across a more trustworthy or caring dog walker in the 14 years that I’ve had my dog and I doubt I will. I think that about sums it up.

My husband and I go away a lot so we’re often in a scramble to find someone to look after our two cats. We live in the north end so we’ve heard «no» from many pet sitters because the parking situation is so terrible in our neighborhood. I called Marta and on very short notice she accepted our job.
She is very trustworthy, so much so that we just gave her a set of keys to our apt. She did everything she said she would– feed the cats, gave them attention and cleaned out the litter box. Her rates are very reasonable and it gives us great peace of mind to know that our apt and our girls (Grizzley and Lulu) are well taken care of when she goes away.
Marta has many clients and informs us of when she is going away so if we don’t hear that she’s going away, we can depend on her to look after our pets. How many pet sitters do that!
We highly recommend her services.
