After all these years of satisfied clients, Boston Pet Sitters has stayed committed to providing outstanding pet care for the Back Bay, Beacon Hill, and South End. We still do all of our dog-​walks on foot and have never once tired of a sunny walk on the Esplanade or a snowy walk on the Common. We have kept our company small enough to provide individual attention to each of our valued clients, and we have remained focused on what we do best, walking dogs and taking care of cats and other small animals. I cannot say enough good things about Jennifer North, the owner of Boston Pet Sitters, and her team. They have been caring for my two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels for the past ten years and continually go above and beyond — from daily walks, to overnight and weekend stays, to extended care when I’ve traveled for work.
Most recently, BPS cared for my dogs for four months while I was doing some humanitarian work overseas. When I came back last month, my dogs were in better shape than when I left them. Boston Pet Sitters is extremely reliable, reasonably priced, accommodating to the needs of pets and their owners, and most of all, committed to and loving toward the pets they care for. I highly recommend Boston Pet Sitters; they are wonderful!

Jennifer and her team are amazing. Not only are they organized, helpful and professional, but their passion for animals is so clearly evident with every conversation. We went out of town for a long weekend and Boston Pet Sitters took care of our cat, Wesley, for four days. Dan took the time to send us photos and updates every day and even left us a sweet note for when we returned. We can’t give enough stars or praise to Jen, Dan and the team at BPS!

Jennifer and team are incredible. We’ve been with them now for 5 months and I have been incredibly happy, as has my pup!
Recently my dog was attacked by another and had to have stitches /​wear a cone for a week. Jennifer and our dog walker, Delaney, were extremely helpful, flexible, responsive and really there for us through that stretch.
I highly recommend them to anyone in the Back Bay /​Beacon Hill area, prices are very reasonable, they are 100% trustworthy, always leave a message with details of the walk and are truly professional /​care for their clients.

I know, you’re probably thinking «Why not five stars like everyone else?!» Well, let me preface this by saying that Boston Pet Sitters does a great job with your pets. It’s just very difficult to get a hold of Jen, the owner. There are multiple times when we went days and days without a return phone call when we either needed our keys back or wanted to make sure she got our message that we were going away and needed sitting. This may not be a reason not to use them (for you) but for us it has become an issue.

There are not enough stars on Unilocal for Jen, Dan and everyone else associates with Boston Pet Sitters. Jen and her team have been my go to care for my cat Maggie when I am out of town for the last 10 years, and this seems to happen more often then not at the last moment. They have always come through and do a great job of providing care. They even go the extra mile, picking up mail or packages that may be left for me, and once going out and buying kitty litter and changing her box when they thought it needed it. And I always appreciate the recap note Dan leaves me about his time and adventures with Maggie while I was gone.
If you are looking for quality people that will provide quality care for a loved pet, look no further!

I recommend Boston Pet Sitters 125%. Jen, Sara, and Dan are such truly wonderful people. I have a very sweet, though sometimes persnickety 12-​year old black Lab, Logan. I moved to Boston from Chicago eight months ago and was very concerned with her transition to a new city given her advanced age and health problems.
I’m so glad I found Jen & BPS! Not only do they give her walks & TLC on the weekdays, but during my travel Logan is able to go with Jen to her lake house in New Hampshire. For a Lab this is the definition of heaven. I feel zero guilt going out of town because I knew she was going on vacation too!
Always delightful to deal with, Jen (overnights/​owner) and Sara (Logan’s walker) are flexible, responsible and most importantly super caring & sweet with my dog. Call them, you’ll be so happy you did!

I have been using Boston Pet Sitters for about three years now, and I couldn’t be happier with their services. They are extremely reliable and flexible to accomodate my schedule. I have met all of the walkers on multiple occasions and they are all great and genuinely care for the well-​being of your pup!
Sara is my dog’s normal walker, and she leaves detailed notes everyday on how the walk went, how long it was, what «business» my dog did, and any adventures my dog and her other walking buddies got into along the way! I love reading these notes when I come home and it is something I look forward to everyday. Sara has been very flexible with last minute schedule changes and I have 100% peace of mind knowing my princess pooch is in great hands! I consider the $ 14/​day money well spent.
I have also utilized BPS on many occasions for overnight dogsitting (Dan, Tina and Sara have all stayed with my dog), and just as expected, they were all reachable and informative. Thanks BPS!

Boston Pet Sitters are simply the best. We have used Dan (and Jennifer) for around a year now and could not be happier. Dan walks our dog three times a week and had stayed at our place with her several times while we’ve been on vacations. He is wonderful, friendly and trustworthy and really seems to love our dog as much as we do. Most importantly, our dog adores Dan-​whenever she sees him she jumps up and down and wags her tail so hard she falls over-​sometimes we worry she may love Dan more than us! I cannot recommend Boston Pet Sitters enough, they are absolutely great.

Boston Pet sitters walked my dog for over a year while I lived in Back Bay. I only wish that they had services in Somerville, as in all that time, they never once missed a walk and were awesome people.
My dog LOVED her walkers.
They spoiled us as E, would even take my pup out for more than one walk cycle (2 –3 hours sometimes!) if the weather was nice and she seemed to have more energy than usual.
They gave me a day book, and left me daily notes about what the dogs did, whether there were and abnormalities or things to worry about.
I could always call for an evening walk if I couldn’t make it home, and it never felt like an inconvenience.
Granted, this is one of the services that you see a walker with sometimes up to 5 – 6 dogs in a pack, but I still haven’t come across another service that is as reliable, caring, and flexible as Boston Pet sitters.
Plus, the weekend dog sitting is at the owners house and my pup always came home happy and relaxed.
Highly reccommend!

You have to love BOSTON PET SITTERS. I’ve used this service for +10years.
They walked my sweet Attila (german shep /​lab) for me at midday after I moved to Boston. He was paired up with other dogs in a little daily crew– so he not only got his potty break, but also some good doggy socialization.
After Attila passed away, I eventually got my Cleopatra (golden retriever). I had forgotten how much work a puppy is – and BPS saved me with some extra support. Now Cleo is 4 and cruises the Bay Bay each day with Dan and her buddies. I can go get that cocktail after work and know that she’ll be fine because I know I can count on the normal time & duration of her walks.
Dan & BPS look after my girl when I’m on my infrequent business trips & vacation too. Most of the time Dan stays with her at my place — which I think is amazingly wonderful.
BPS & Dan are reliable and diligent, posting the log as Leigh F mentions. I actually do enjoy Dan’s postings — he might be a writer — they give me the scoop on her business & activities, and are often funny.
You can trust BPS with your best friend.

Just started using Boston Pet Sitters about 2 weeks ago and couldn’t be happier. I used to work from home so my handsome pug Finn has never been left alone. With a new job, I reluctantly hired a dog walker to be sure he was getting at least some attention during the day. Our walker, Mike, is wonderful. He leaves detailed notes in Finn’s «daily log» with #½ info, how long they walked, when, and asks questions like «does Finn have a towel I can use to dry him off on wet days?» I now come home from work knowing my little man is well cared for and exercised. Also great to know that I can cancel or switch schedules with short notice. I would say peace of mind and a happy pup is definitely worth $ 14/​day.

We used Boston Pet Sitters after having a terrible experience at our former doggie day care. We were referred by a neighbor who has used their services for a long time. Before we started, the owner, Jennifer, came over for an interview. We told her all of our concerns from past experiences and what our hopes/​expectations were, and she spent some time with our dog/​us to make sure it would be a good fit.
We ended up having Dan walk our dog, and he was great! He was professional and really seemed to know and care about the dogs in his group. He always came as scheduled and wrote detailed notes (with times of walks, routes taken, type of «business» done by our dog, and any special or funny happenings) in the planner they gave us. This made us feel that, although we had not been home, we had a good sense of what the dog had been up to and what kind of walk we should give her at night. He also made sure to give our dog the Kong or treat we had left and make sure her water bowl was filled.
My only concern was that sometimes it was hard to get a hold of them if we needed to communicate a scheduling change. A few times we left messages and calls were not returned promptly. However, communicating via the planner worked pretty well (we left notes for Dan there too), and we never had any major problems at all.
