Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, Photography Lessons all taught by Susan White Pidgeon, MFA since 2001. Mrs Pidgeon was in the recent past the Youth Art Teacher for the James Island Rec Center and also worked for Charleston County Community Education as well as for The Artist’s Loft in Mt Pleasant SC. Her business is mobile and has lots of various locations with the main one being 1613 Fort Johnson Rd. She has decided to solely focus on her own business for the time being. It is the culmination of her life’s work and she is excited about the freedom and possibilities of just working for herself!

History

Established in 2001.

Mrs Pidgeon has taught private art lessons and classes in Charleston since 2001. She has taught for Charleston County Community Education, for The City of Charleston as Youth Art Instructor for James Island Rec Center, for The Artist’s Loft in Mt Pleasant as well as for private individuals. She has taught homeschoolers, summer art camps, the elderly, adults/​children and artists of all levels.

Business Owner

Mrs Pidgeon has a lifelong and diverse history in art. She studied art under Virginia Fouche Bolton at Bishop England High School. Mrs Pidgeon has a BA in Art from The College of Charleston and a MFA degree from UNC Greensboro which enables her to teach on the college level. She was recently employed by Charleston County Community Education, The Artist’s Loft in Mt Pleasant SC as well as the Youth Art Teacher for James Island Rec Center. Mrs Pidgeon also teaches art classes and private lessons as well as facepainting and Arty Partys in her own business, The Studio Art Center. Mrs Pidgeon has decided to focus solely on her own business for the time being. It is the culmination of her life’s work and she is excited about the freedom and possibilities of working for herself!
