History

Established in 2004.

We are a group of musicians that have been performing in the Charleston and surrounding areas in the Charleston Symphony, Chamber Ensembles, and high end restaurants including in the 5 star Sanctuary Hotel’s Jasmine Porch, and the Ocean Room.

All musicians have degrees in music with an emphasis on performance in the Charleston Symphony. Today, Palmetto Strings is managed by husband and wife team, Mike and Lauren Williams, both violinists.

Through my music career, and performing for weddings and corporate events at some of the most exotic and historic venues and clients in Charleston, our standards reflect those of the 5 star restaurants and venues we perform in. Our goal is to exceed the guests’ expectations, creating a perfect atmosphere for their wedding, dinner or other events.
