Just read Amy’s review and incredibly, I had the same experience. I was in town for business and tore my contact lens… usually I carry a spare (and never need it), but this time I didn’t have one. I ran into Jackson-​Davenport, and the woman behind the desk was so friendly and helpful. I explained the situation, and she took down the number of my optometrist in California. While I was in a meeting, she called and got my prescription… when I came back at noon, she had a pair of contacts waiting for me, and wouldn’t even let me pay for the contacts… she helped out with solution and a mirror, and I was on my way. If they’re this nice to someone from out of town who’s not even buying something, I can only imagine how great they’d be if I were your regular eye doctor. Wish my regular optometrist were this customer service focused wow!

So thankful for Jackson Davenport Vision. I am in town for an event and tore my contact. They helped get me a new contact ASAP and couldn’t have been more lovely or helpful! Thank you JDV!

I broke my glasses. I brought them here and within 15 minutes they were repaired. While waiting at least 3 people asked me if they could help me. I wish my optometrist at home treated me as well.

The glasses and selection are awesome but the best part is the staff. They are all so helpful and informed. I needed glasses for the first time and they helped with my eye exam and then helped me find the best pair of readers. Now I can read everything.

This is the best shop in town. Ask for Danny he is great. We were visiting and looking for a pair of glasses and checked out a couple of other stores. Everyone was extremely friendly, knowledgable and were just happy to help. They knew we were from out of town and said if we have any issues with the glasses to ship them down and they would take care of it on the house. They even threw in a hat for shopping with them.

These guys are fabulous! I broke my glasses while vacationing on nearby Edisto Beach, looked on Unilocal for help and found this Charleston business highly rated. Set my GPS, drove 45 minutes and they repaired them for FREE. Go do business with these folks!

These folks are wonderful. I was in town for a brief vacation, and needed some immediate help. They treated me as though I was a regular and loyal customer. The staff was most professional and the help was instantaneous! In addition, they have a wonderful selection of frames. This is the place to go if you care about your vision and your eye care.

I was close to purchasing an expensive pair of eyeglasses at a business close to Jackson Davenport, so I wandered down to Jackson’s to look around and compare.
I was the only customer in the store and there were at least four or five store employees milling around me. Not once did anyone ask if I needed help or even acknowledge my presence. I picked out about 6 frames and sat down at one of the tables in the middle of the store to try them on. STILL no attention. By this time it was pretty amusing (and incredulous), so I quickly determined none of the frames suited me and I got up to leave. Not a head turned… I could’ve thrown all the frames in my bag and left a happy camper. Jeez. At least I didn’t have to suffer sales pitches, but I wonder how their business is when they can ignore a potential customer.

Let me just say the service I received from Dr. Jared Fisher was as good as any I’ve received from anyone. In any industry. Ever.
Here’s the situation. I was getting married in Charleston at 4:30 pm. I woke up that morning with red, watery, itchy, pained eyes. Needless to say, I was freaking out. Luckily I located Jackson Davenport’s address online and drove to their office. Dr. Fisher gave me an exam, provided me with the necessary medication, and offered to see me again in the afternoon! I gladly took him up on it, saw him two hours before the ceremony, and he gave me a follow-​up exam and provided priceless advice. My ceremony with off w/​out a hitch and I owe it all to Dr. Fisher’s expertise, patience, and kindheartedness. In my time of need, he went above and beyond and I can’t thank him enough for it. If you are in need of an eye doctor, go to Dr. Fisher. You’ll be happy you did.

Very good selection of designer sunglasses including Oliver Peoples, Maui Jim, Costa del Mar (best selection in town), Ray Ban, and more. Service is excellent. This is an optometry shop, so they know their lenses and know that price often doesn’t correlate with quality. I’ve bought several pair of sunglasses here, and the price at the register is often considerably lower than the price on the glasses. They always include a quality case and cleaner and often a t-​shirt.
