Tuesday afternoon 9⁄8 leaving work, I stopped at the end of the road & ordered a roast beef sandwich on rye w/slaw & dressing. They were really busy & I hate to order anything in a busy place because of mistakes made by the staff & I don’t get what I want. I have gotten this sandwich here several times recently because of working right up the street. All the other times it was great! I got home & my $ 8.50 sandwich didn’t have any slaw or dressing on it. That really makes this sandwich those 2 condiments. So I was disappointed & mad! Today I walked in & told a gentleman behind the counter what happened thinking he might fix it in someway. But of course nothing! No customer service at all just like everywhere else here in Westchester County, NY. And this place is in Chappaqua! They’ve got plenty of business without me, but come on guys! And there was some liquid on the bread on one side making the bread soggy. I wonder what that was? I was so hungry & I paid so very much for the sandwich I ate it anyway.

Went today after church b/c I heard good things about this deli. Ordered a tuna on rye and liverwurst on rye to go. One thing that makes a good sandwich is the bread. As soon as we picked up the sandwiches your fingers put a hole in the bread and it broke apart which leads me to believe that the bread was not fresh. Also I opened up my liverwurst to put more mayo on it and found a couple of pieces that were greenish brown. Staff was not that friendly.

Not only do they make wonderful sandwiches, but they are the go to place for their world famous Broasted chicken. Why world famous– because when President Clinton visits, I am sure that he spreads the word about the most tender juicy chicken that he has ever had to foreign dignitaries all over the world. Our family parties often include their Broasted chicken but we ask them to cut the large pieces in half as we have a lot of youngsters that we feed. Their prices are extremely fair considering the quality of their cold cuts or the chicken. They are also very good in accommodating special requests as one of our family members just likes their chicken breast seared. They also help in bringing the food out to your car because there is nothing worse then having chicken with a thin layer of asphalt stones after you have dropped the box. But the consensus is that Lange’s is awesome whether or not«Bubba» is in the store.

After a really wild liquid filled day and night, lange’s has the best toasted bagels with butter around. Nothing stand-outish about this joint, but it does its job with the bagels when you need them. They open early and close earlier.

Eating gourmet restaurant food all the time gets really old really fast Thats why i’m so happy to get my monthly fix. My favorite sandwich. Lange, i’ll take the usual, i’ll eat on the table near the tv. A roll with chicken cutlets(fried ones of course) melted extra chedar, lettuce, onion, mayo, salt and pepper. Hey Bill Clinton I know you live down the block. Forget that vegetarian shit your on these days. Come on over, my treat, meat for men.

Best deli in the Chappaqua area. NY style — as it should be — not one if those overpriced«gourmet» delis but don’t let that fool you, they’ve got it all and it is all delicious. Deli sandwiches, salads, hot dishes. Nicest owners and staff make you feel like family. Eat in or take out. Parking in the rear.

A good deli and the seating is convenient. I used to stop by here on my way to work for great egg sandwiches, but I stopped going because the coffee is horrible. Deli coffee is usally pretty bad but this stuff is not good. I would happily pay 50 cents more a cup for some good strong joe. C’mon Lange’s, it’s Chappaqua!

Typical deli, with friendly service and a large selection. Drab interior, but family friendly. Bit of a local«institution»… With the bonus, or drawback, of the occasional Clinton sighting.

A Chappaqua institution, Lange’s offers something for almost anyone. Nice selection of deli sandwiches, both hot and cold, made to order. Meats are of good quality. Lange’s piece de resistance is their«broasted chicken». Lightly breaded, deep fried, very moist. Only complaint is that the corned beef there is not traditional steam table hot. They use brisket cut, but it tastes lousy out of the microwave, and at Lange’s prices, they can do better. Still, a good find, especially in deli starved Chappaqua. Eating area could use some renovation. Right now it is basically plastic tables on a turf floor. 2÷1÷10 Recently I made a discovery at Lange’s. If you ever liked homemade chocolate pudding, rice pudding, or custard when you were a kid, but haven’t seen anything but commercial stuff since, you are in luck at Lange’s I give the egg custard a 10, the rice pudding a 9.5, and the chocolate pudding an 8.5. The counter man told me they have an old German cook who makes it all by him self. I can’t wait to try the bread pudding next time i go there. Dr. Atkins would roll over in his grave if he knew about these goodies.

Great deli sandwiches and pasta or chicken salads. Breakfast here is quite good too. Somewhat expensive for a deli though.
