Lloyd Tire And Alignment LLC

I’ve been going to Lloyd Tire for 3 years now, mostly for oil changes and tire rotations.
I recently found one of my tires would consistently have a lower tire pressure than the others which would set off my tire pressure monitoring system in my Honda every time the weather changed. Because I was in a rush and wanted to get this tire fixed as soon as possible, I dropped in to a local Pep Boys and asked them to take a look at the tire. They told me that I had two nails in my tire that were too close together and my tire couldn’t be patched, offering me information on a new tire I could buy. I was a little suspicious about this, so I took my car to Lloyd Tire. They patched the tire in 30 minutes for $ 30.
Lloyd Tire has always treated me well. I look forward to bringing my business there in the future.

I unfortunately did not have a great experience at Lloyd’s. The person I spoke with on the phone and at the desk was very kind and helpful, but I left my car there for the day because my AC wasn’t working and my check engine light was on. I expected to receive a call during the day with explanation of a free diagnostic check for the check engine light and more explanation as to the AC problem. Instead, my first call was notifying me that I had a $ 245.33 bill for diagnostics and a recommended additional $ 700 worth of repairs. I was shocked at this diagnostics bill and declined further services. My dad’s mechanic in western NC fixed all of my car’s problems for under $ 300. I see from another post that there is a 10% student discount, of which I was not aware. It is always my fear as a young female who is not knowledgeable about cars that I am taken advantage of by mechanics, and I think this may have happened here. Perhaps the best thing to do if you go to Lloyd’s (or anywhere, now that I’ve learned my lesson) is to put a cap on the amount of money that you want to spend on diagnostics.

I haven’t been into Lloyd’s yet but just spoke with them on the phone. I can already tell the service is a step above any other mechanic I have taken my car to. Not only were they extremely helpful but also very polite and accommodating over the phone, something I have not found to be the case in Chapel Hill.

I always got great service here on my car. The folks are pleasant, honest and do an awesome job.

They really deserve 6 stars… or 7… or more.
I love a honest business. And that is what Lloyd’s is. Every time I have been, I’ve received excellent prices and fast service. They are always done sooner than they promise.
They are helpful – the lady in the front office – oh, so nice.
I am intimidated when it comes to car stuff-​including tires. It’s nice when I can go somewhere where they won’t gouge me with their pricing and they don’t recommend things I don’t need done.
I recommend them to ALL my friends. If you need tires or a good, good alignment, give Lloyd’s a try. I can’t help but think you will be singing their praises just like me!

I’ve learned my lesson. Never going to anyplace but Lloyd’s again. Every time I go, it’s convenient, fast and affordable. This is a place that won’t rip you off. Oscar is great about letting you know what you have to get done right away and what you can put off. I got a quote for some repairs from another place in Chapel Hill and Lloyd’s beat it by over $ 100. If you’re a student, there is also a 10% discount!
I’ll be back for my next oil change (and hopefully not before…).

The people at Lloyd tire are great! They do free estimates and assessments, and are the friendliest car professionals I have ever interacted with. Service is speedy– they returned my car to me within 24 hours, unlike the last place I tried. They do more than just tires and alignment, so don’t be deceived by the name. I had my 50,000 mile service done here and couldn’t be happier about it. I highly recommend them for your car needs.
