Since 1952, as the original Ayoubs of Northern Va, we have cleaned and repaired over 1 million rugs since first founded and clean over 3 million square feet of residential carpet a year. We’d love the opportunity to serve you too!

Oriental rug cleaning is done by our skilled craftsmen in our own cleaning facility. We provide cleaning and repair for all types of area rugs — Persian, Indian, Chinese, Turkish, Silks, Karastan and many more.

Wall-​to-​wall carpet cleaning is done by our certified technicians with our truck-​mounted hot water extraction process. Our cleaning solutions are people, pet and environmentally safe.

History

Established in 1952.

In 1952, Joseph Ayoub began the «Ayoub Tradition in Fine Rug Care» with his sons Jack, Norman, Sam, Said and Fred. By the 1970’s, the Ayoub name achieved a high level of recognition in the DC area for their commitment to fine rug care. This tradition of quality has resulted in a 16,000 sq. ft. facility in Chantilly, VA that provides one of the most modern rug cleaning and repair facilities in the United States, while also providing a central location for the wall-​to-​wall cleaning division. There is now also a showroom onsite which conveniently displays hundreds of oriental and area rugs, both machine and hand made.

Great service, prompt delivery, fabulous job! I had previously brought a carpet to Hadeed to clean. My elderly dog had soiled it. Hadeed returned it & a month later the odor came back. Hadeed told me they would re-​clean it but I would have to pay again as I had waited too long! I sent it to Ayoub and was so thrilled with the results I sent them every carpet in my house!!!

Ayoub Carpet Service (ACS) did an OUTSTANDING job of replacing all the carpet in our home. Complete professionalism from the entire staff (project manager, back office, and installers).
We needed the work completed quickly and ACS was able to accommodate us and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The carpets are beautiful and the price was right.

I work in the furniture industry and am very familiar with what it takes to offer excellent customer service. I am super pleased with the service I received from Ayoub and will be recommending them to my customers.
I had 2 medium sized rugs, one hand knotted, one hand woven (Room & Board’s «Chain» rug), and a smaller 20×30 hand knotted rug cleaned and they came back looking brilliant & beautiful. The woven rug had backing coming off that didn’t do well in the wash & was off quite a bit more upon return, so I had them take it back. They very graciously (after a nice conversation) took off the repair charge since I contended the damaged worsened with the wash and I didn’t feel it should have. While I understand as a business they are responsible to keep their business healthy & maintain these types of charges, they recognized my point & did the right thing for me. I truly appreciate it and feel this type of working in the «grey» with each situation benefits them in the end. They stayed in communication with me throughout the process of pick-​up, cleaning, & redelivery and their guys were great in even positioning a very heavy rug under my bed in an awkwardly tight spot in my tiny studio apartment.

We requested a quote from Ayoub through Unilocal for carpet re-​stretching and Dan responded within 24 hours. Their quote was significantly better than the other two estimates we got, and we were able to get an appointment just a few days out. Stuart and Bobby came to our house to do the job. They were professional, courteous, and FAST! They did a great job and power stretched our entire upstairs and one downstairs room in two hours. We couldn’t be happier with the service they provided and the price. We’d definitely recommend Ayoub!

First off the lady on the phone quoted one price and said it included the sanitizing and deodorizing. When they showed up to pick up the rugs they said each of those things were extra and I mean substantially extra. Secondly it took them 3 weeks to get my rugs back after I was told 10 – 14 days. I called after 16 days and someone told me he would check on my rugs and call me back and never did. So I called after 20 days and voila they happen to be ready and can be delivered the next day. I have no faith if I had not called that they would have ever called me. I had a small unraveling on one of the rugs and asked for an estimate to repair it. I told the lady on the phone this and then reiterated with the guys that picked up the rugs that I wanted an estimate. The lady on the phone made it sound like it would be very inexpensive. They just dropped them off and they did the repairs without asking me and charged me $ 35 for a 1.5 inch repair. I don’t know if they are clean as I haven’t unrolled them yet but I would never use them again or recommend them for their lack of customer service. I told the delivery men that I didn’t authorize the repair and they were like oh well your card has already been charged.

Crew did a good job. They were on time. They worked hard. Carpet looked great when they were done.
Concerns:
1. One guy was walking in and out of the house with the booties on. What’s the point?
2. The cost seemed much to me, but I’m not an expert. $ 535 bucks for 850 square feet.
3. One guy used my bathroom without asking me.
4. I saved them a spot right in front of my house. But they asked me to move my car parked in the rear of their home so they could use my water faucet to supply them with water to clean with.
I’m satisfied. 3 out of 5 stars.

We are beyond happy with the results. The carpets look brand new. There were a lot of old stains and they were able to get them out. Everyone has asked up if we replaced the carpet. Prompt, professional service. Quote provided immediately for our oriental rug over the phone. Team showed up on time to pick up rug and bring it back after cleaning. Rug showed some wear prior to cleaning. Rug is very clean now, the wear is a bit worse, but the rug was very dirty. Overall, very happy with the service of Ayoub Carpet Service. I called Ayoub about two weeks before we were due to move out of state. They picked up my two large, hand-​woven rugs exactly when they said they would, and brought them back on time — the day before the movers showed up. I did not unroll the rugs until they arrived in Colorado — *that* was an act of trust — and when I did, they were perfect. I did not realize how badly the rugs needed cleaning — the colors are brilliant and beautiful. The lady in the office and the guys who picked up and delivered were courteous and professional — thanks so much!

Ayoub Carpet Service-​ACS is the Nordstrom’s of many things. Carpet cleaning, carpet repair, tile and grout cleaning, etc. I have been a customer for many years and have been happy with the results. And when I wasn’t, they have bent over backwards to make it right. I recently had some oriental rugs cleaned and because I don’t have pets or young children in the house, I almost thought that I was being silly to have them cleaned. When they were delivered, I was amazed at how vibrant they all looked! Ayoub even placed them back! I had an issue with the tile and grout cleaning, and they were ‘Johnny on the Spot’ to try to rectify it. I would use them again and again and would recommend them highly. They aim to please!!!

Despite the efforts made by this company to fix the ruined rug, it was not possible to restore it to its original beauty.

We had 2 master BRs, a hallway, 2 staircases, and our complete living area carpeted, approx 2000 Sq Ft.
The price wasn’t the cheapest in town but it was not the most expensive. I googled the reviews on the «cheaper» carpet installers and, I’m sorry, I don’t do 2 stars. I chose Ayoub based on the reviews and my first impression walking into their store on Rte 50 in Chantilly.
All in all, I could not have asked for a better customer experience, from Ryan the salesman, to the installers Marbrisio, Johnny, and Jose. The installers were very respectful of our house and worked their hind ends off to install all the carpet in 1 day.
Ryan called me halfway through the day to check up on the work and to see if everything was going as planned. That simple act is called professionalism and is sorely missed now-​a-​days.

I didn’t buy anything. But I spoke to Ayoub on the phone, curious about their prices, and noticing the great reviews they received on Unilocal.He patiently answered all of my questions, and recommended to me that I could fix my problem myself. He gave me tips, and advice that could help further solve the issue I was currently having.
Everything over the phone was great and professional. And best of all, Ayoub could’ve just agreed to do it, and taken my money. But was courteous, and gave me advice that eventually allowed to resolve the problem I had.
Great customer service, and I will certainly call him if I get any actual problems!

I’ve used Ayoub several times for my Tibetan rugs, always with excellent results. They’re not inexpensive, but this is a case of getting what you paid for. Although they offer dropoff/​pickup service (way convenient), if you have any concerns about entrusting your expensive rug to someone, I’d encourage you to visit their Chantilly facility. Yes, it’s at the end of civilization, but the facility is so clean and organized and the staff so pleasant and competent, you will have no qualms about handing over the rug your Grandpa brought back from (insert name of exotic locale here).
This was the first time I’d used them for carpet cleaning services. Once again, completely professional and courteous service. They showed up on time, and the crew leader’s name is Elvis. What’s not to like — Elvis is in the house! They did a great job cleaning our carpets — moving furniture appropriately and as needed — leaving everything just perfect, looking and smelling great. I am sensitive to overly-​scented products and was pleasantly surprised that their products left my basement smelling clean & fresh, but not perfumed or chemical-​y.
Since they were there, I also splurged and had the kitchen tile/​grout cleaned and sealed. The truck-​mounted cleaning equipment must have really soaked the grout, because it took a long time to dry. But when it did — wow. I like to think we do a pretty good job cleaning our kitchen floor, but apparently we don’t. Hoping that the sealant will help keep the grout looking this good.
No problem using the Unilocal voucher — the $ 100 savings was much appreciated!
