Front office staff was very friendly and courteous. Grounds were well kept and looked nice!

What a disaster this place was to deal with. Called about renting and went from work on my lunch to get information and look at apartments. Met with Melisa and she was very nice, showed me an apartment which was ok but very small living room and kitchen for the money. Was not sure of where the unit was located in the complex, apartment was facing all the construction of there office remodel. Put a $ 300 dollar refundable deposit on it which I was told I could change apartment unit if I decided to do so before renting. I was offered $ 50.00 for a good review on Unilocal so they are paying for good reviews! I went the next day back to the leasing office and the woman I did all the rental stuff with, Melisa no longer works there one day later. I told them I wanted to change apartment unit as I was told I could and they told me I would loose my three hundred dollar refundable deposit if I did so and another apartment would be more than I was quoted. Wow, seems like a bait and switch rip off. After voicing great dissatisfaction they gave me back my three hundred dollar deposit check but kept my application fee. Do not trust these people!!! You can find much better apartments than this one.

This is a great place to live! If there is ever a maintenance issue, the response time is quick and whatever needs attention is taken car of of the first time. I am excited about renovations to the gym and business center.

Awesome place to live. You can’t beat the location, close to everything and freeway access everywhere. My apartment is Wonderful and the staff here is Excellent. I have lived here for 5 years and the customer service is fantastic. Maintenance response is the best I have ever seen. I have been very happy here!

Shitty apt !!!

If I could give them a 100 negative stars I would. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place and company! They have no regards to how the renters feel. The water shuts off all time because of the old pipes, and they won’t give you any pre warning. Everyone in the office is completely rude, I have never been spoken to with suck disrespect from a manager let alone. I lived at town square for two years. Take if from me, you can find a much better place to live!

Just an update, now going on the 4^th night no AC. And tonight my dishwasher flooded my kitchen for, I don’t know how many times. I’ve probably called 3 other times for it. Ridiculous.

Update on my previous complaint, it has now been 12 days since the manager Linda, told me that the blood outside my apartment and all over the walk ways would be cleaned off the sidewalks. The blood is still on the sidewalks. This in my opinion is not ok.

I considered renting here. Thank god I didn’t. You can find just as nice (not that there’s much of a standard here) or nicer in Chandler for less. They want $ 950 for a two bedroom apartment that hasn’t been remodeled in 30 years? Please. I called to inquire once, and the woman was extremely rude and short. I asked her about the appliances, as it seems a recurring theme here on Unilocal.She then put me on hold without even telling me she was going to. Suddenly I just heard hold music for about 2 minutes then I hung up. If this is how they treat prospective tenants– imagine how they treat you once you sign the lease? Yikes!
Due to the proximity to my sons school and an extremely limited budget, I decided to try them once more. I called and spoke with a different woman. She was also very short and seemed extremely annoyed with my questions. I asked her if I could make an appointment, and she said «sure». I showed up for my appointment and she asked if she could help me when I walked in. I said yes, I have an appointment with you at 12. She looked at me very confused and said «with ME?». I said yes… And she still didn’t acknowledge that we had just spoke the day before. I told her I wanted to see an actual unit, as I’ve been doing research and I want to see what the actual unit looks like and the appliances. Of course she told me that’s not an option, despite them clearly listing several units immediately available on their site. The model smells like smoke, and has brand new appliances.
The ultimate kicker for me was when I was leaving the complex. I already had an awful gut feeling about this place. But a woman approached me in the parking lot and asked if I was considering renting here. I said yes, and she looked me in the eye and said RUN. This is the worst place she has ever lived, and confirmed that all the Unilocal reviews were completely true. She had black mold and dirty carpet, and her stove has NEVER worked, and her AC unit runs ²⁴⁄₇ to keep her 1 bedroom at 80 degrees.
Towne square needs to get their act together!

This place is an absolute nightmare. I had to have the apt sprayed for roaches 7 weeks in a row. I’ve had my AC repaired 10+ times. Washer repaired 5+ times, only to be replaced with a different unit in which the dryer was broke. Dishwasher repaired 4 times. Toilet repaired 3 times and above all, have been screamed at by the front office numerous times. I can’t understand how the front office thinks it’s okay to get in yelling matches with their tenants, especially one who pay every month. I was lied to about my payment being deducted through auto pay which resulted in a late fee. I tried to explain the website says I’m set up for auto pay. The office manager said to me, «yeah it’s the 7^th, I bet you have money now.» If you want a nice place to live with customer service don’t live here.

Living here so far has been a pretty good experience. I still have to get on the office to finish my bathroom because by the time we moved in they didn’t put the baseboards on. I can overlook that but the front office communication is HORRIBLE. I called to see how I would get a gym key and the lady on the line said it was $ 30, didn’t say what method of payment they would take. I brought cash at first. Then I was told they ONLY accept cashier’s check, but the other lady in the office said a personal check would be okay too. The form I filled out said cashier’s check, money order, personal check or debit card. It’s one of the most ridiculous experiences I’ve gone through. I brought back a personal check yesterday and one of the nitwits in the office told me it was ONLY cashier’s checks. I finally got my key today after spending an extra $ 5 to get the damn cashier’s check. They need to work on their communication skills because getting a key shouldn’t be that hard. And this is the first complex I’ve lived in where I’ve had to pay for a gym key.

Been living here just under six months. Worst. Decision. Ever… The management is the worst I’ve ever dealt with. We’ve had a cracked and leaking toilet in one of our bathrooms for the first 4 months. They Finally after 6 appointments replaced it. Now… not only is it crooked and unbalanced it leaks as well. The general conditions of the apartments are a joke. Nothing, and I mean nothing has been updated since the 80’s. There is paint just spashed everywhere, carpet, cabinets, windows… everywhere. Then there are the wonderful neighbors and tenants they rent to. I know apartment living can be a gamble as to who you live by, but if they aren’t screaming and fighting, I have had one banging on my door to call the police… yeah, they are pounding their music, if you can even call it that, full bass late into the night. Does the management do anything about it… noooope. Bottom line, for the money you can do soooo much better. By all means do not rent from this joke of a complex.

All I’m going to say is this place needs better reviews so bad they’re asking people to write reviews to win a kindle fire in emails to residents. You can’t buy reviews! That should say enough. Marie is the nicest one in the office, the buildings are old, water is shut off multiple times a week without notice. Packages will be lost, even when you have a signature confirmation they will deny having your package. If you’re a student like me good luck studying without your books because of it. Everything in the apartment is poorly crafted they don’t hire a Maintenance company they have their own who learn on the go. They don’t do a bad job but it can take hours or days because of it but it gets done. They also jacked up our lease by $ 60 when we renewed and the new specials people are coming in for way less. Jack up rent on old tenants and lower for new to fill spots. Consistency is key and there is none here. Good location crappy management the office manager doesn’t know how to run a business, nor do most of the unprofessional staff in the office know anything about tenant rights or landlord obligations. Anyone right now that writes a great review is because they want a free kindle fire. Oh and don’t swim in the pool on federal side it’s filled with leaves and dead bees because we don’t believe in cleaning or maintaining our living area here at towne square!

I’ve lived at Towne Square apartments for six years! I had not intended on staying in any apartment as long as I have stayed here, however the location of this place is unbeatable! «Kyrene school» located within walking distance, access to a gym (with great equipment) 24/​7, 4 swimming pools to choose from, best price for apartments in this immediate area…(I check every renewal time). I cannot give 5 stars, because i can think of one thing I might want changed, however it is not the staff. The office personnel and maintenance staff have became my friends, and I would tell anyone to make this place their home!(while remembering still that it’s an apartment complex)

DO NOT RENT HERE! I wish there was a no star. WORST customer service in the front office and shady neighbors. Was moving in my first day and 2 paintings got stolen in the parking lot in between unloading.
Manager there could care less of the people who live there.
It may look good from the outside and seems like good pricing, but there is ALWAYS a CATCH! Do not move here. There is a lot of other great apartment complex’s. And when you move out they try to screw you over. When you fill out the forwarding address they will say you never filled it out when you have proof of filling it out! And they find ways of charging you with hidden fees. But, they can never be wrong of coarse. Worst experience.

This place is a joke. From the front office spinsters to the appallingly shoddy craftsmanship, Town Square has been nothing but a headache since the day we signed our lease (and unknowingly the custody rights to our firstborn)
It brings me great pleasure, my friends, to announce that today that lease is over. FREE AT LAST! No longer shall we be terrorized by impolite Scottish women and broken household appliances!
BUT IN ALL SERIOUSNESS: Please don’t make the same mistake I did. Towne Square is overpriced and underhanded. Crooks who truly know their trade!

This is my second time living here and we shouldn’t have left the first time. I’ve never had a fine or any notices about my patio. We are currently in an upgraded unit on the metro side and I love it. Maintenance requests are finished in timely manner and the one time I had to call the 24 hr after hours like they came in 15 mins. The ladies in the office are awesome especially Marie & Dee. It is an awesome location and We are very happy living here.

Horrible customer service, I am glad I will not be renting from here. My wife and I recently applied for a 2 bedroom apartment here and we did all that was asked of us, credit was fine, and we even got the letter from my wife’s work verifying her employment, wage and hours. The cheesy ginger dude even talked to my wife’s boss and she relayed to my wife that he said he needed nothing else and he was just calling to verify all the info which was correct by the way. Then he comes back to tell us that they need more from them and they can’t provide, whatever, we found a great apartment, better staff, and getting right in too. Ad it’s bigger and cheaper, country brook apartments. If your thinking of renting here don’t, rent at Country Brook instead. All the staff at towne square seem fake and uppity a bit.

To first glance, this place seems like a good deal. Great prices, good enough amenities and great location. Moving from Chicago and having limited time, I chose Towne Square.
The other review is correct, management and maintenance try to write you up for everything and fine you. If you get caught with a broom on your patio-​fine, if you have leaves on your patio-​fine, if you have PAID your pet deposit, and have friends visiting with a dog-​fine.
Nobody picks up their dogs poop, and the grass is littered with bare patches. The pool has specific hours, but some days it stays locked and you can’t use it. People jump the fence and sneak in the hot tub at night– very loud.
At this place– you get what you pay for. The management (not the front desk ladies) are absolutely unreasonable. On one issue I had with them they told me «that is how we interpret the writing in the lease» not how it is actually worded. They also told me that if I had a friend visit for even one minute with a dog– we received a $ 300 fine for having a friend stay with a dog even with a pet deposit paid already.
The apartments are old and have a lot of wear. The Carpets are disgusting.
If you take Unilocal seriously– this is a serious warning. Learn from me and my mistakes.

Where do i start? Well i lived in this complex for a year and for starters we moved into a dirty apartment. It took me and my wife two days of cleaning to get the apartment liveable. Soon after move in we started having issues with the apartment and have to have simple things like the flooring and sinks fixed. While the mantiance people are in your apartment they find things to report back to the office so they can fined you on. Having in a simple thing like the washer fixed costed me 300 dollars for having a friend over with their dog. Reeeaaally!!! Plus they a have a tow company go through the parking lots at night looking for people to tow. You have to know that they get a kick back from that. This is the worst apartment complex i have ever lived in. Do not rent here.
