Pinnacle Terrace Apartments

I gotta start by saying that we lived here in 2013 and never had any issues, maybe because we lived upstairs. That is not the case anymore. We moved back here in Oct 2014, but on a ground floor since we have little ones and is easier. They started giving us a hard time about storing stuff under the stairs, because they were gonna have an inspection, and all we had was a grill and a push car for my child, and they told us to move them on the patio, so we did. Two months later another inspection is coming up an once again they are giving us a hard time, but now is regarding the stuff on our patio, where we have the same grill and push car, plus our patio furniture and now we added a little slide for our little one to play on and her stroller. I think this is ridiculous considering that I have seen other apartments with grills on the front porch, treadmills stored on patios, laundry drying racks, etc. We also have friends that live on an upper level apartment and they have plenty of storage containers stacked up, but they never had issues, because nobody can see up there, and I think this is very unfair. I have also seen people storing their bikes in their living room, because they couldn’t put them on the patio. Is getting very frustrating and I am starting to dislike this place.

My experience here isn’t any better then the others, unfortunately. My wife and I were looking at places on this street and saw that this apartment complex looked clean and well kept, did a tour and liked that it was quiet, signed a lease.
So they show us to our «new» apartment and what do we see? A wonderful view of the freeway fencing, a view of the water pipe in our bedroom window, and the place wreaked of curry! Yes, curry! It smelled as bad, if not worse than an Indian restaurant. We tried to ignore it and started putting our things up, when as the sun was setting, the light hit the door just right, and I saw a marking on the door. It was a swastika, yes a swastika carved into the door right below the peep hole! The apartment management was contrite and offered us a better location and a garage for the same price which was nice (most likely to keep from getting a bad review). So, bike often and there is a metal stairwell that leads up to the apartment. I double lock my bike to this rail and one morning the entire thing was gone. I called the front to let them know and they said they were sorry for the loss, but said that they have had no reported thefts on this property since they were working here. That doesn’t mean it hasn’t ever happened. But again it was mostly my fault for being so trusting and thinking that the neighborhood was safe enough to leave my bike outside.
We also had an altercation with a drunk neighbor who accosted me in the parking lot as I was going to work. There was loud music coming from their apartment and we were trying to record it so we could tell management the next day. Well, apparently they saw us and this drunk friend starts interrogating me. I told him about the music and started to leave and then he violently hit my window with his fist. Called the cops (should have done it prior to the incident). Long story short I do like the location because it’s near everything and it is in a safe neighborhood (aside from the bike theft and loutish neighbor), but my experience with the management has been poor to say the least. Oh by the way, they didn’t even replace the door that had the swastika on it, they just painted over it and some other poor sap moved in. I just implore you to take these reviews seriously. I am not making any of this up and I hope you find a better place.

Turns out the bug infested part was BED BUGS by the way! Yes that’s right BED BUGS!

Love the location and the amenities but the shit doesn’t work. The pool is outdated and needs to be cleaned better. The hot tubs don’t work properly and they need to be cleaned more frequently. We moved in 2 weeks ago and still waiting for stuff to be replaced that was broke when we moved in. Our fridge leaks drips all over our food and ruins it, dishwasher needs to be replaced, washer has a funky smell, and microwave needs to be replaced. Oh and I almost forgot… Our water heater was considered a safety issue and the gas company wouldn’t turn on our hot water heater because of it. And we told management and the maintenance men didn’t fix it up to code, they did a half ass job!

Things have gone down hill… I used to LOVE living here! It now takes at least 2 weeks to get anything fixed! I’m on day 17 of NO disposal! They used to fix things in 1 –2 days… not anymore.

If i could give zero stars I would. This place was great until they switched managements to Meridian Group. Upon leaving AZ back to CA I cleaned the apartment and went into the office to square away any dues/​fees. About a month later I get a letter saying I owe them money (carpets weren’t clean, things were dirty or broken). None of this was true and I had pictures to prove it. I also gave the receipt to a guy in the front office for the steam cleaning done that day! I refused to pay and called the company who sent me on a giant loop– they pretty much called me a liar and said pictures wouldn’t hold up in court… oh and they conveniently lost the form i filled out in the first week we moved in with all the damage that was already there upon arrival.
THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS! WATCH OUT!!! Now this company Meridian Group based in Washington has been harassing me and my boyfriend with call, emails, and letters for over a year. They put a lean on his account and tried taking us to collections. I now have to pay for a lawyer to make sure they go down for FRAUD. Please don’t get yourself into this mess. It has been awful. They are scumbags. I’ve never dealt with such ignorant and disrespectful people.
FRAUD ALERT. STAY AWAY!!! Don’t live here!!! I will do my best to make sure no one ever has to go through this.

This place is okay. The neighborhood is really nice, clean, and we love Chandler. We’ve been living here since ⁸⁄₂₀₁₁ — present and just resigned our lease. I agree the prices are getting a bit pricey as we’re in a 1bed/​1bath paying $ 820 a month but honestly life is so busy for us right now we don’t have the time nor the energy to move. Next year we will for sure. Anyhow the grounds are kept us nicely, the maintenance guy is super friendly and fixes things quickly and its fixed the first time. The office staff is… okay. Most of the sales staff is nice but the manager is kind of rude but whatever, we never see her anyhow. They claim they have a dog park, no they don’t. THERE IS NO DOG PARK, so don’t be fooled. The beautiful front area by the pool is not fully blocked off and therefore not a dog park because your dogs can easily leave the area. The little «closet» in the back of the complex is smaller then my bathroom and has dangerous pipes sticking out of the ground with a gate my dogs could jump over. Its surrounded by a big wall and there is no grass. It’s pointless. Like I said we’ll live here one more year and then we’ll be moving.

Update — Paying over 800/​mo for a 1bd/​1ba apt is excessive in this market. Unfortunately our rent is increasing 8.9% if we want to stay. They said they are losing a lot of tenants because of the increase. Seriously considering a 2 bedroom/​2 ba place elsewhere at those rates.
