Clean facility, friendly staff! This place is great and I feel welcomed every time I walk in.

This place is simply the VERY best tanning salon in town! And I have tried most of them!!! I will never go anywhere else! The ladies are always so friendly, beds are always clean and they always have amazing specials each month!!!

If you think people shouldn’t be able to tan after 7pm on a Friday, then Perfect Tan on Alma School is just the place for you.
But if you’re a proponent of the American Way, and radiating your little booty with UV until 9pm, then comrade, you’ve just found your last bastion of khaki-​colored freedom!
Solar Waves is a clean, dynamic looking tanning salon, that’s taking over my heart. EVERY time I’ve come in, my stand up booth was ready to go. Even if I had to wait, the max tan time is 10 minutes… so unless the current occupant has a strap-​on prosthetic or is rocking scissor-​like hands, your typical wait at a Dutch Bros will be longer.
There’s a tanning cream bar along the wall, where you can fill up a shot glass with a bronzer of your choice (its less than $ 13 for 5 shots). Check often for discounts.

The employees have also been stellar, personable and friendly. You’d be a Kim Jong-​un loving communist if you went anywhere else.

I’ve worked in and been a member of many, many different tanning salons over the last eight years and Solar Waves is about as good as it gets! The facility is always super clean (a BIG plus in my book! I’ve been to some filthy salons), the staff is very friendly, and they offer many different bed options without breaking the bank. They also offer so many free amenities to their clients that it makes you feel like a VIP. Love, love, love Solar Waves!!!

The woman who gave me a spray tan picked a great color for me which I think was called Valencia or something with of V and looked very natural but still dark enough on my light skin. My only complaint is the bright white spots under my butt cheeks but I guess that’s my fault for having a big booty and not lifting up my cheeks. Now I know for next time.

I came across this tanning salon by viewing Unilocal reviews! The staff is amazing and the prices are just right. I love that you can make your own lotion at the lotion bar! I recently had a custom airbrush tanning session and it was AMAZING! I was worried I would have a weird color but it turned out fantastic! I highly recommend this tanning salon!

Found this place in a state of panic. My usual sprayer had to cancel last minute and I am departing to Mexico tomorrow. I called in freak out mode and was squeezed in. Upon arrival the staff was so helpful and accommodating. My tan is beach ready!

My sisters and I got spray tanned here for my wedding a few weeks ago. This is not hyperbole when I say it’s the best spray tan I’ve ever had. It was a little pricier than my past spray tans but it proved the adage right– you get what you pay for. Since I have lighter skin, I have to be careful not to go too dark or I tend to look like an Oompa Loompa. The spray tan from Solar Waves was flawless and long-​lasting and made me feel wonderful on my wedding day. I’ll definitely be back! Thank you!

First time at the salon and the girl at the front desk was so nice and very thorough on all the different options they had. It was excellent customer service and I loved the recommendations she had. The salon was super clean and I can wait to come back!

I love this place! Every time I come in the staff is friendly and make me feel valued as a customer. The girls always have helpful advice when I have a question. The tanning beds and rooms are very clean. The whole atmosphere is welcoming, I highly recommend coming to tan here!

As soon as I came in, I have recieved excellent customer service and the tanning bed area is super clean. I paid 8 bucks for 1 visit and fully worth it. I would ask for a business card first as you come in and get $ 5 off your first visit.

This was my first time going to this salon and I really enjoyed my experience! The salon is very clean and welcoming. The woman at the desk was very helpful and answered all the questions I had. I did the stand up booth — which was amazing! So much better than any regular bed I had been in. I didnt plan on coming back (due to only wanting a nice base color) but I’ll be back because I loved this place :)

If you are looking for a clean, luxuriess tanning salon with quality high level beds and above and beyond customer service… this tanning salon is your go to place. I have been a customer here on and off over the last few years and now that its under new ownership, Id rate it a 10 if I could. The owners are wonderful people and have always made me feel welcome and appreciated. The salon is always imaculately clean, they provide deoderant, wet wipes and towels for your use for after tanning; simply put there is no tanning salon in a 30 mile radius in my opinion that can remotely compare to the service, quality of beds, cleanliness and overall relaxing and luxerious experience as Solar Waves Tanning in Chandler. I have been going to this salon for the past 4 years for airbrushes. The prior owner was amazing and I always loved the way the tans turned out. Even with the new owners, although they did things a little different, I loved the airbrushes. They recently got a new airbrush system and I am not impressed. Really disappointed to be honest. Not sure why they made the switch but I miss the old one. I live in Scottsdale and would make the trek for their airbrushes but after this last experience, I won’t be back.

This tanning salon always makes me feel like I’m really treating myself. The place is pretty swanky with wooden rooms and low lighting. The tanning beds are excellent and the staff is always super friendly. I’ve been going there for at least 3 years and still love the place.
For those of you tanning in places with bright fluorescent places with white tile and no soothing comfort– I suggest you come give this place a try! You won’t regret it!

NEW OWNERSHIP as of JULY, 2013! I first used this place in 2011, great pricing, fresh bulbs often, immaculate, quick. The girls that worked there were always nice & still are, but the previous owner constantly put people off by seeming very unfriendly/​flat-​line personality, as some have commented in reviews before ⁷⁄₂₀₁₃ (I continued anyway b/​c I like everything else about it). I thought she just disliked ME until I realized, no, it’s just her personality, ha ha!
Under new ownership, the place is still IMMACULATE — like EAT OFF THE FLOOR CLEAN. They give you no grief about coming in at end of night, every employee & now owner included is CHEERFUL, and even the décor has been cheered up just a bit, more color added.
I hear there’s a place nearby that is going for «cheap» but you have to clean your own beds & quality control is poor… I’m willing to pay just a bit more, still a great deal, to put my bare skin onto towels & beds that I know are cleaned very well between every client, and a tanning bed that will be well-​maintained, cuz let’s face it, we’re kinda microwaving ourselves naked… LOL
