I can not be happier than my experiences at ²⁰⁄₂₀ over the years, especially this year’s eye exam. The staff is very professional and Dr. Jason McCord is extremely competent and up-​to-​speed on the newest techniques and technologies for eye health diagnosis. I will definitely keep visiting ²⁰⁄₂₀ for many, many years! (Rx: Gas-​permeable contacts and glasses for a backup for near-​sightedness)

I got a Groupon for ²⁰⁄₂₀ for some new frames. The front desk staff was really friendly and helped me check if my prescription was current by calling my past optometrist for me. Unfortunately, I was just a month behind on my eye exam, so to get new glasses I would need an exam. They offered to get me in that same day in just a matter of minutes, and discounted the exam since I was a Groupon customer. My doctor (I forget his name) was super nice and personable. He got right to business and didn’t try to sell me on anything I didn’t need, like some of the other reviews state. He gave me a new pair of contacts to try out from a brand I was unfamiliar with, and I actually like them better than what I normally wear!
Katie, the gal that helped me pick out frames was AWESOME! She is sooo nice and funny and really tried to get me the best deal. I do agree with other reviews about the cost of frames being a little pricey here, but I had a Groupon, so I got a pretty good deal regardless. Katie helped me pick out affordable frames that look exactly like the designer frames I was interested in, and even knocked off a bunch of fees for my lenses, saving me a lot of money. (I’m a –6.5, so my lenses can be bulky and heavy if they are not high quality)
The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because my glasses took about 3.5 weeks to be finished instead of 2, like I was told. At the 3 week mark, I had to call and ask what was up, and the receptionist said that there was a problem with the frames that needed to be adjusted, so they sent them back for repair. That’s fine, I just would have liked a call/​email from ²⁰⁄₂₀ stating the issue so that I wasn’t left wondering. Overall, I will be coming back for future exams and I recommend Katie to help you pick out your frames & lenses because she is amazing, as well as their front desk staff and the doctor that I saw.

I went to the store in Chandler and I got great service up until I paid for 2 sets of lenses to be made and fitted into my 2 old frames. I paid $ 620 up front and was told it would take about 5−7business days. Almost 2 weeks later they were still not ready and I had to call them to find out the status always. No phone calls, messages or anything to tell me there was a delay. Finally when I called to cancel the order they miraculously were finished as I was told. Later that day when I went in to get them I was told my main set of progressive lenses did not fit the frame. I cancelled one set because the other reading glasses were ok. It then took almost another 12 days to get my refund on my credit card… grrrr! I would not recommend ²⁰⁄₂₀ to even my worse enemy because that’s how bad my experience was with them. Save yourself the grief I experienced and go somewhere else like lensecrafters or just dig your eyes out cuz that will be less painful!

I love going to ²⁰⁄₂₀ for the prescription as it is always right. The rest of the experience this time was less than enjoyable. Dr. McCord was stuck on selling us the progressive lenses and he wouldn’t listen to me when I brought up other options. He didn’t listen to my needs nor find an alternative option to the progressives.
I had a chance to think about it for a few months while I did research and spoke to people who had them and I decided I didn’t want them. I went back to order my glasses and spoke with Katie at the Chandler office and I explained I wanted to order the regular lenses without any progressive lenses. She didn’t understand why I would’t order the progressive lenses. I explained in doing my research, I found people who would be nauseous, dizzy, and it takes about a month to adjust to them for some people. I don’t have a month to adjust as I need them for work. She said she wouldn’t argue any of those things but she was still pushing they would be best for me.
The glasses I wanted would be $ 485 for the progressive where as if I just ordered what I wanted, I would be looking at $ 243. Big difference! Katie would not let up. She spoke down to me and acted like I was an idiot for not wanting the progressive lenses.
I decided there had to be another option, so I looked at ordering my glasses online. If you go to

You can download a photo and go through several different frames from you own home and see what they would look like on you. I should be getting my glasses in 14 days and they were only $ 85 with scratch coating, UA, UVB on all glasses, free anti-​glare. Great selection. My husband and I were both able to get prescription glasses for $ 27.99. For that price, you can get more than one pair! My husband even got the magnetic sunglass lenses for his.
The most frustrating thing is to go somewhere to purchase a product or service and running into a pushy salesman/​woman telling us what we should buy because of what they get out of it. Thanks any way Katie but we decided to take our business elsewhere.

Office staff was very friendly and helpful and they were able to accommodate my schedule. The individual who helped me with my glasses knew I would be going out of town the following weekend and even offered to put a rush order on my glasses with no extra charge. Dr. Jason McCord was very friendly and will be happy to visit him again in the future for my eye needs. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is I wish this office had a little more of a selection available for frames.

The front staff needs some training and Dr. Mccord was less than helpful. I have had my eyes for 32 years and have had glasses since I was 2, I think I know my eyes better than he did. He didnt explain anything and just said «this is what we’re doing.» Including trying to convince me to get 1200 $ Hybrid lenses (thats for 2 pair!). I will NOT return here, they are unprofessional and Dr. Mccord did not seem to care about my best interest.

Amazing customer service. Here from out of town with an urgent glass repair need. They were fast and friendly!

This review update is long overdue but I just had to raise them up a star because of the continuing excellent level of care that I have received from the eye doctors and staff here. The optometrists are all extremely knowledgeable and explain your options in a way that is easy to understand and pressure free. I have seen a variety of doctors in this office over the last few years and all were excellent. The office staff is also on top of their game. They are very pleasant and easy to work with and I have never had to wait for more than a few minutes when arriving for my appointment (a lot more than I can say for most Dr’s offices).
The best experience I had was a few months ago when I needed both new glasses and gas permeable hard contacts at the same time and also a full eye exam to get my prescription up to date. I was in an overlap period where I was covered both under my husband’s insurance as well as a policy I had recently gotten from my job. The office manager at ²⁰⁄₂₀ went out of her way to figure out what to claim under which policy in order to have the lowest out of pocket expense for me. She spent a lot of time on this and I really appreciated the extra effort. It was above and beyond. The only thing that keeps them from five stars is that I do still think that their frames are a little pricey compared to other places but on this occasion I was reusing my old ones so I had no complaints. ;0)

Not a fan. I made an appointment for contacts, but I got halfway through the appointment before I realized they had me down for glasses. I explained what I wanted and that I wasn’t eligible for new frames yet through my insurance, but they still had a high pressure sales pitch for frames. The doctor told the staff to tell me I wasn’t a good candidate for contacts, but he wouldn’t say why. I’ve worn contacts before, and for many years. I have a feeling that the extremely high prices of the frames are what pay the bills and contacts must not be worth it to them. I ended up leaving empty handed.
Also, they insist on billing my medical insurance and wouldn’t even take my insurance information for my vision coverage. Now I’m dealing with a denied claim through medical and trying to convince them that they are billing the wrong company and I don’t actually owe the balance. So frustrating!

Dr Stamper was great but she is no longer at this location. My husband’s annual 2 pair of glasses for both regular use and motorcycling have always exceeded our expectations. Yet their website is absolutely useless for making appointments or any type of contact. Following is my recent contact via email:
