Furbabies Delectable Delights offers a wide variety of all natural pet treats. All of our treats contain human grade ingredients that are safe for dogs. We offer wheat based & wheat-free treats as well as jerky, sweet potato chips, cakes, cupcakes, & gift baskets. All of the ingredients listed on our labels are ingredients that are familiar & can be pronounced & never contain preservatives, by-products, salt, or artificial ingredients.

History

Established in 2007.

Furbabies Delectable Delights was created by Angela Riservato, a chef by trade, as a result of the pet food industry facing all the issues with certain companies utilizing ingredients from China that contained melamine. This ingredient is harmful to animals & caused a large amount of dogs & cats to die from being poisoned. In this day & age, animals are not considered property any longer they are members of our families & having them succumb to death from a deliberate act is something that is extremely devastating.

My name is Angela & I «pawsitively» love what I do! I started Furbabies in 2007 when the pet food industry faced major problems when certain companies were getting ingredients from China that were laced with melamine, a poisonous material. As a chef by trade, I got to thinking that if I’m good at cooking for others & my fur-kids, why can’t I expand on this & make treats for others! The wheels started turning & Sept. 1, 2007, Furbabies Delectable Delights was born! As a wife & mother to 4 human kids & our 2 canine kids, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing & a degree in Culinary Arts, coming up with recipes for my business was not only fun, but something I love to do & what better way to get feedback than trying out the finished products not only on our fur-kids, but friends & family’s fur-kids as well! It definitely has been a long road, filled with both good & bad experiences, but perseverance has always been part of my makeup & this is keeps me going every single day!

Tonight we celebrated the birthday of my 2 little papillons. It was their 4^th birthday & ordered a cake from Furbabies. We had the party at the dog park so there was about 15 dogs. First of all the cake looks adorable! Secondly the dogs ate it up like they hadn’t eaten in days. There are many flavors to choose from. I chose the peanut butter cake with vanilla frosting shaped like a bone. They are made with all healthy ingredients. And I got the impression made with with a lot of love. There are many other goodies like pup cakes & all kinds of treats. This is a wonderful story of a woman that started making doggie treats in her kitchen. She now is in the process of moving her ever growing business to its own warehouse. Made with love & quality ingredients! My first cake but definitely not my last! Thanks, Lynda Spero

Furbabies, has been providing Birthday cakes for my dog for 7 years now. They do a great job personalizing and decorating the cakes. They are made with all natural ingredients with fun flavors to choose from and my dog loves them (I admit I have tasted them myself) :) They also sell all sorts of tasty treats which I always order when I get my cake. You can tell Angela, the owner, has a real passion for what she does. I have since moved out of AZ but I still ordered my dog’s cake for his Birthday. She delivered it to CO for his big day tomorrow. If you are looking for a fun way to celebrate your dog’s b-day, Furbabies is the way to go. They even sell little mini versions of the big cakes if you have a dog party… so fun! All of the other treats are great for the rest of the year. I miss being able to pick them up at my local butcher.

I originally stumbled upon this business on Google and purchased a cake for my dog’s birthday from them. There were good and bad things about said cake. First, the good.
GOOD:
–Very well frosted and you could tell a lot of care was taken in putting the happy birthday letters on the top of the cake.
BAD:
–I was told Carob would make a good substitute for a chocolate cake for a dog. As any good dog owner would know, you can’t feed real chocolate to your pooch. So I purchased the carob cake, as I knew when my dog had chocolate in extremely small amounts, he had adored it. My dog would not touch this cake and neither would my other dog. Curious and being told by the owner this cake was safe for human consumption, I tasted a small piece. I can only compare the texture and flavor to cardboard. It tastes nothing like chocolate. So I’m not really surprised my dogs didn’t like it ether.
–This cake was hard as a rock and crumbled like it was almost stale. I will state here I do not know if this is typical for carob cakes or the fact that the majority of carob cakes do in fact taste like cardboard. However, if I didn’t know better, I would severely doubt whether this cake was freshly baked at all. It may have been left on a shelf for a week for all I know. Yes, it was that dense and hard.
If I knew any of this, I would not have bought the cake. I do not think the owner should say this is a great substitute for chocolate, unless you like your chocolate stale and tasteless. She was very insistent on it too. I understand people need to sell their product to make money, but she could have just as easily have told me that if I was expecting chocolate, maybe I should have picked another cake flavor.
Whatever her reasoning, I won’t be buying another cake from her in the future. I also would not recommend her to anyone else. While the cake she gave me was gorgeous, my dogs found it completely not to their liking. It’s too bad, because that pretty cake ultimately ended up in our garbage bin.

Since finding Angela, my fur kids get one of her cakes every year on their birthdays. My dogs LOVE it and the cakes are adorable! All of the ingredients are on the label so you know what they’re eating and Angela is always a pleasure to do business with. Very reasonably priced and my kids also love that we celebrate the dog’s birthdays with cakes just like we do theirs!

Furbabies was started by a trained chef name Angela… and get this… he husband John is the human treat taster! He does not have it bad, as I must admit, they do look and smell pretty tempting. I am extremely picky and conscientious of what I feed my furbabies, so I LOVE that these are grain free, BHA free, meat by product free and dye free. They use human grade ingredients and do not use preservatives, by products, salt, artificial ingredients or sugar. My pups are picky in the treat department and they woof this down and wag their tails happily. I learned about them at Whole Foods’ Unilocal Gets Schooled Event. I love that you can buy in bulk. If you want to treat yo pup, I suggest you do so! Hit up a demo if you can, she hooked me up with a bag of treats (one of each kind) for each of my babies… way cool.
