D & L Chandler Glassworks

These guys are morons. 4 months to get a show door installed. 4 times they came out and ordered the wrong things. The mother and daughter that runs the office don’t communicate and they never can find your paperwork. DO NOT HIRE! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE OR YOU’LL REGRET IT. I MADE THE MISTAKE, DON’T YOU. My neighbors saw the truck in front of my house and hired them to install a window but didn’t talk to me first. Now their having the same problems as I did.

I really couldn’t be happier with their service and their product. I called yesterday and got a quote, and my glass tabletop was finished today. They are super friendly and really great at understanding what you are looking for. My husband and I wanted to go local and we are glad we did. I cannot recommend them enough.

I hired these guys to come install a mirror in my master bath. They came and installed it, drilling 3 holes and cutting a rectangle for a GFI receptacle. I gave the installer instructions to adjust the ring for the receptacle out before installing the mirror — he did not and as a result the ring was behind the mirror. He even called after he was done to tell me he had not cut it properly but if I had a problem installing the receptacle he would come and do it. So, he left KNOWING there was a problem.
Then, of the 3 holes for the light fixtures, one hole was way off center and the mirror was covering one of the junction box screws. It was more than obvious that the hole was off center but less obvious that the screw hole was covered. One would think that a glass installer would understand that to hang a light fixture ready access must be available to reach the screws. Because the screw hole was so close to the mirror’s edge the mirror cracked when the light fixture was installed.
I called and spoke to one of the owners — he said this was my fault. That I should have called them back to tell them that the hole was off center and that the screw hole was blocked. Really? The installer did not see this when he was done? The owner said that that does not mitigate the fact that I broke the mirror with the light fixture screw — that I should have stopped and called them to come back out to make the opening larger. Why didn’t they cut it right the first time — when they were out there and when they said they were done? I paid them — over $ 500 and now they are telling me too bad — they are not willing to take responsibility for their amateurish workmanship.
The work should be completed professionally and perform as intended when they leave — one should not have to inspect and then call them out to fix something that should have been installed properly in the first place.
These guys are scumbags — stay away!

In need of a new glass window next to our front door… had left a message on their answering machine on a Thursday and they did not respond until the following Tuesday. The representative did apologize for not calling sooner, but I still felt as though my business didn’t matter.

Our glass from a side table broke and this place was very friendly and cut a new piece to the size I needed. I was out the door for $ 23 and the glass fit perfectly. I would use them again!

I have used Chandler Glassworks on 2 separate occasions and were extremely happy with both jobs. They just placed 3 windows in my rental property.
I’m extremely picky and price conscious… a challenging customer to say the least. Dennis, his office staff and installers were soooo patient with me. I had a ton of questions and watched the installation job closely. I’m thrilled with how they were installed and how they look.
I know they probably lost money doing my ultra small job but they treated me like their biggest client! Did I tell you that I also got an Amazing price on my windows? I price compared them and can tell you I got a fantastic deal. I’m very pleased.
The other small job they did was to make tempered glass doors for my built-​in entertainment wall. I wanted smoke glass to hide my components behind. My general contractor told me it would be impossible to place glass doors directly attached to my drywall but he was wrong. Chandler Glass pulled through beautifully.

My mother purchased a curio cabinet that came with glass shelves (about 18″ X 7″). Since the cabinet was intended for miniatures, we needed more (2) shelves.
I first went to another company mainly because their name implied that they were in the same city as I live in (Gilbert), but they were not. They indicated a completion date and not hearing from them, I went there in the afternoon on the day after the promised date of completion. The gal who took my order asked if they had called me and when I informed her that she had told me it was to have been completed the day before, she retorted that they were busy and that we don’t always get what we want. Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere — to D& L Chandler Glassworks.
Wow, what a difference. They were friendly, took my order and indicated it would be ready the next day. I called the following day and they indicated that my order was ready — at about ²⁄₃ of the cost at the other place.
Needless to say, I was extremely pleased with D& L Chandler Glassworks and recommend them without any hesitation. They are professional and know a thing or two about customer service!
