Wrote: Dear Ace; As a loyal customer for years, member of Ace Rewards card, Birthday reward cards, etc, I must communicate me extreme dis-pleasure with some of your most recent promotions. You send out a flier for the light source LED bulbs;: with an attached 10 $ off card, but when you get to the store you find out you cannot use the card as it is only for regular priced items. Your marketing people might think this was a great idea to get people in the store, but all it did was re-enforce the fact that I should go to Walmart first. I have tried to be a loyal customer for years to support the local hardware store concept such as Ace, but when you resort to marketing strategies such as this; such as what would be found in a used car lot, you just create former ACE customers. If you want to reward loyalty, stop the games, fire your marketing guru, and get back to customer loyalty. Dan B

Sorry but new ownership is creepy. New ownership has taken over and they have their employees stalk you while you are walking around like used car salesmen asking you if you need help. Once, twice ok but 4 – 5 times come on. Leave me alone. Never have the simple things and the store looks like a confused garage sale. I dont know about you guys anymore. Used to enjoy going in there but I think I will spend my money somewhere else.

When you know exactly what you need and you don’t want to wander around aimlessly in a big box home improvement store, Ace is the place. This store is just the right size, the layout is very practical and they typically have what I’m looking for. Service is okay, not amazing, but better than what you’ll get at the boxes. Overall, this is a great store. PS: Roosevelt Water Conservation District has a holding lake adjacent to this center and the bird watching and listening from the Ace Hardware parking lot is amazing. The cormorants are particularly neat to view with the crazy way they hold their wings out to dry.

I came to Ace in search of some quality paint. The service I received here was great. The store was very clean. The prices however seem to be higher than Home Depot.

You know why I like Ace Hardware? Because when I go in looking for: –Machine Screws Pan Phillips 4−40×¼…not only do they know what they are, they have them in stock! More than 3!(Lowe’s sucks) Because when I go in looking for: –Small plastic parts boxes with dividers… they know what they are and I can buy one without also buying a freaking toolbox that it is inside!(Lowe’s sucks) And speaking of Lowe’s why do they only stock 3 – 5 of any particular item? What if I want 7? I need to visit 2 Lowes?
