Baker’s Travertine Power Clean

This is my second time using their service to clean my travertine and marble floors. The workers are very courteous and they did a great job cleaning the floors. My floors look brand new again and I am very pleased with the result.

Travis and his crew arrived on time and put a light polish on my family room and kitchen travertine. They were friendly and professional. They did an excellent job, I am so pleased. The floor looks brand new again. A few small holes were starting on the floor and they filled them in without me having to ask them to do it.
I would highly recommend the company.

Stay away from that company, very expensive, very rude, lairs, after I paid the deposit, they cooked the work, leaving my floor has same scratches as before, when I questioned them, they said the they did not quote me for it, and then they show me their contract, it say, that they will not fix scratches, so what I’m paying for, so bad to spend thousands and then you get the floor as before, but clean.
It cost me to clean the floor about third of the replacement cost, and after all I did get my floor restored.
Be careful before signing the contract, in a very small font, above your signature it say that they don’t remove scratches, they don’t buff crackers, they don’t fill pits, they don’t fix grout, in contrary with their verbal agreement, the contract will tarnish your right as customer.
Stay away, stay away, stay away.

We purchased a new home, well new to us, and thought we should have the travertine floors cleaned. When the Bakers came out I was impressed with their passion about floors so we said okay.
The crew showed up on time and were very professional. They showed us the difference between the different finishes and we went with the middle finish. OMG the floors are gorgeous now.

Be aware of these folks, they will do «power clean» which a handy man with Home depot rental machine can do it for pennies, I was driven by the positive reviews that was posted on Unilocal,they actually used it to drag me into their mud,
I got a house and installed around half of the flooring with brand new travertine, the old travertine had a lot of pits, scratches, and look dull, I was advised to hire a company to fix, hon and polish the old travertine instead of removing and replace it with new one, I got several quotes for that, from Baker, Qoit, Hank, and few others, Baker was by far more expensive than others by about 30% and I didn’t even look at it.
all of the companies agreed on using lower grid to buff out the damaged layer of the travertine, and would go with higher grid to to finish up with desirable shiny looking, Baker opposed that idea and started talking bad and negative about other companies, as they would rip my money off and damage my floor, after several phone conversations, and a promising to make my floor in excellent condition, and their positive reviews, I agreed to hire Baker despite his high rate, That was my huge mistake.
After finishing most of the Job, I noticed that the old Travertine still rough, dull, full of pits, scratches, almost the same except it was little shinny, a week later it lost its shine.
I contacted Baker, they changed their wording, now they are saying the my travertine is low grade, and can’t be fixed, so why you didn’t say that from the beginning? I was already paid $ 5000, and they stepped out of the job before completion, requesting $ 3000 more.
After that I called couple contractors to inspect the property, all of them stated the same, the old travertine need to be redone, it is a long process to hon with lower grid, to remove scratches, then gradually go with higher grid to bring the natural stone to its natural beauty and shiny,
After paying $ 5000 I have to pay again for the job to be redone.
I complaint to ROC, they was not very helpful, they advise me to file civil case, Baker brought a contract that I never agreed or signed on, the contract state, that scratches may not removed, and would not be buffed. pits and cracked are not included, so why I’m paying thousands of dollars if my travertine would be the same
I’m going for lawsuit. and I will keep you posted.
Please read their contract well before you sign.

We can’t say enough about what a wonderful job Bakers did on our travertine floors. This is their second job with us and they are timely, polite, clean, professional, competitively priced and the results are breath taking. They take pride in their work at a level rarely seen these days. We recommend them at the highest level.

We had Bakers come out and light polish our marble and color seal our grout !! It’s looks amazing and we are so happy with how fresh and beautiful or floors look! They were great to work with and great priced !

Tim and Amy were UNBELIEVABLE! From the time they came and quoted my wife and I what it was going to take to restore our 13yr old floors to the time they completed it yesterday I have never had such great customer service. And their crew WOW all highly respectful young men that I would trust to watch my kids. And the completed job my wife literally cried (she hated the floors before because they always looked dirty). Now imagine the Venetian in Las Vegas! Nice job Tom and Amy and thank you for being so patient with my lack of scheduling ability lol

Tom and Glen was amazing! Outstanding work on my red marble countertop. My counter tops was in very bad shape and they brought it back to its true beauty. I would most definitely use them again

I called Bakers Travertine to get a quote, Amy and Tom came out to give us a quote. They were informative, on time and a pleasure to deal with. We just had our travertine floors cleaned and polished today, couldn’t be happier!!! My floors look awesome!!! I received a call from Ray about 30 minutes before arriving letting me know they were heading my way. The crew was great, they were courteous and kind. They cleaned up everything and left no mess behind. I will definitely be calling them again!

I would give higher than 5 stars! Tom Baker came to the house for the estimate. His crew did AMAZING work. The floors were trashed from some renovation work we had done and we feared they were ruined. They squeezed us in the schedule promptly and the guys stayed late to get the job done with high quality. We are impressed with the level of meticulous attention to detail. We are very happy and won’t use anyone other than Baker in the future.

Excellent results: 1) 20 yr old saltillo tile made 100% brighter with great color matching for worn out areas; 2) 1000 sq ft porcelain tile had haze which was removed & uneven grout color which was color matched & made to look uniform. Tile felt like it had rough patches before and now feels & looks satin smooth. Great job, great workers, great husband & wife owners, so highly recommended!

I’m thoroughly pleased with the work that the Baker Travertine team did polishing my travertine floors and cleaning my travertine tile shower. The entire crew was immensely professional and exceedingly pleasant. They did a meticulous job cleaning up behind everything, the floors are gleaming, and the shower looks like new. I’ll definitely use them again.

We had our travertine floors and shower cleaned this week by Baker’s. The floors look really nice, so I’ll give them 4 – 5 stars for the actual cleaning job. The problem was that they left a huge mess behind. :(All of my fixtures have grout smeared across the handles from the guys turning on and off the water and rinsing their hands/​tools. My removable shower head is all sticky and spotted — I assume from the sealant? I don’t even know how to get that clean. And we’ve got tile/​grout dust all over our granite countertops and everything on them. I wasn’t aware that we’d have to bring in a cleaning crew to clean up after our travertine cleaning. Just keep this in mind before bringing them into your home.

Wow! The BEST company ever. So professional and hard working. My tumbled travertine has never looked this great. Don’t even bother to use anyone else. Very fair price too.

I recently purchased a home with multicolor slate floors and travertine showers. The original owner remodeled over 10 year ago and installed the stone back then. The most recent owner (prior to me) spent 4 yrs in the house and added slate on the outside. When I asked about the care of the stone, I could never get a straight answer regarding the maintenance that had been done to the floors and showers. All I know is that the floors looked dull and the showers had calcium build up; they needed help. I had 4 companies come look and give quotes to restore the stone. The range of advice I got was all over the map. I selected Tom and Co. based on his knowledge and passion of stone restoration.
After spending two days with Tom and his team, I can proudly say I made the right decision. Tom is a bit of a chatter box, but he definitely has skills in this area. He’s like a stone detective. He knew exactly what had been done in the past and he treated it accordingly. The results are awesome. Tom took his time and did not cut corners. He was very professional and I will hire him again (just not too soon) to keep the floors and showers looking like a million bucks.
