Will return for my next manicure in a couple of weeks!
Update: peeled off and got dis colored 1 week after I got them done. Service was friendly tho!

Love this place. It’s a family run business. Both Husband and wife are awesome with their hands. It’s very inexpensive among the places in the valley and I’m very glad that I found this place. I will keep going and keep recommending this place to everyone, I see. haha! Yeah they are that nice. Try it & You’ll love it !! :D :D

Terrible, terrible, terrible service. I came in to get a fill and they turned me away because they didn’t have «time» seriously? There were 2 people in the store. I can’t even believe I was treated like this. I don’t know what type of business turns clients away.

Nick is great at doing nails. His wife seems to be very professional and genuine as well. I have not went back to a nail place in years until now. Now, I wouldn’t imagine going anywhere else. I’ve never meet someone so committed to this profession, personable, and genuine. I saw the Unilocal reviews and I am so glad I followed them and came here. While I was there I have always sat next to regulars who have returned for years. Great nail salon-​GO!

STAY AWAY! I should have known when I walked in from how bad the salon smelled and looked that the tools that were used on me would be unsanitary. In addition to using old worn out nail files, the nail technician just pushed the droppings into the floor.
I went in asking for a gel manicure but what I left with was disappointment. She didn’t even pull out the cutical nippers until I asked for the dead skin to be removed, and even then she didn’t give it any effort. The «gel» that was used looked like regular nail polish. Although the man that worked there was really nice, the manicure I paid for was messy and had air bubbles.

Stopped in chandler for the weekend and came here based on other reviews. It took only a few minutes to be seen for a gel manicure.
The man working on my nails was extremely kind. It seems as though he understood the value of good customer service and treating people in the shop with respect. Took one star off because after 2 days one of my nails chipped.
I forgot to grab some dish washing gloves and figured the rest of my nails would chip soon but was glad to find that they were pretty resistant to the dish washing process. Still wish the end result when I left the shop was a bit better. I would return.

I’m in love with this place! Nick and Candy are both amazing and super friendly! I hadn’t gotten my nails done since I left Wisconsin because I’m so picky, but after reading numerous positive reviews on this place (not just on Unilocal) I decided to give them a try, plus it’s like two blocks away from my house so the location is a huge plus… The first time I went, Nick did a gel pink and white over my existing nails, which I had never tried before but it turned out great! I’m a bartender so after 3 or 4 days the paint had started to kinda chip, so I went back and he took them off and went with the acrylic nails, which work perfectly. I also opted for a gel French tip pedicure, which turned out great as well. They take their time too! Which is either great or not, depending on much you like sitting around. Both took about an hour, but it ensured that I was getting the best quality and service, to me. They don’t charge for a take-​off either (if you get a new set put on at the same time) ! The full set was $ 28 and for the gel originally was $ 25 I believe. They use high quality products so you don’t have to worry about the nails turning brown or that tan color. I returned 3 weeks later for a fill. My toe nails had just started to chip slightly and the fingernails had obviously grown out a little but no chips or discoloration. Which is funking amazing for 3 weeks without… I’m definitely going back, it’s not just because of the beautiful work they do, but Nick and Candy are so so so friendly! I’m serious, go there.

Def. a good experience. My first visit today and got a pedi and gel mani. They had my fav CND gel (the original shellac). I would highly recommend an appointment. I will def. be going back.

I will be back! My first time there was today and I couldn’t be more happy. Nick did a great job and they even painted my daughters toes and fingers for free! Love this little family owned shop! I will be taking my mother in law there this weekend for pedicures!

Awesome place! I rarely get my nails done because I use to bite them but now that I’m letting them grow out I would definitely be back. The husband who runs the shop was super nice, very talkative, and really professional. Made me feel like he knew me my whole life. I will recommend this place to friends and will be going back when I need my nails trim.

I had a full set of acrylics done here 2 weeks ago. The reviews looked great, and that is why I went to 1^st nails. The service was amazing and the quality of the work was second to none! Nick took his time and made my nails perfect. Other salons will make the acrylic too thick and I have ended up with globs of acrylic under my nails. Nick made sure that every detail was just right. This will be the only salon I will visit for my nails from now on! Trust me, you will not be disappointed with the service, quality or value.
I give them 2 perfectly manicured thumbs up!

I stopped in for a pedicure based on the reviews. What a gem. Nothing fancy but everything you would want in a nail salon: friendly service, good selection of quality polish, excellent foot massage, good prices. I will definitely be back.

I have never been to a ‘neighborhood’ salon to have a pedicure. I researched many places in the Phoenix area. I was not disappointed! The pedicure was very nice, my nails look beautiful, and they added a flower to my big toe. Pedicure starts at $ 18, which I thought was very reasonable. They take their time, even when they have other clients there. They are friendly and treat you like family. Asked about my family, kids, parents, and we discussed other subjects as well. Very relaxing, very detailed and clean work. I will return!

This is the BEST nail salon around. I visited after reading the reviews from other Unilocalers and I have to say they were right! The owners are a husband and wife who work together running the salon. I have gel nails and have had them done at many places but this the first time I really felt like Nick cared about my nails. He took his time, shaped them, filed them, was cared not to be rough and then even after another customer came in and was waiting did not rush to finish. He took his time and made sure the coloring was perfect. They are also way more reasonably priced than most places in the area. If you care they do offer Vegan colors. Plus they are VERY clean. They clean everything right in front of you and put in the machine as soon as they are finished. I can’t recommend them enough!

Truly a 5 star experience. Iv been to LOTS of nail salons, probably over 100. This by far is my favorite. Its family owned/​operated. The staff speaks English and totally caters to what the customer wants. Special requests are welcomed. Iv been to so many nail, salons that want to charge 5 dollars for this and that and everything in between. You can’t beat the prices here and they’re work really is quality. Lots of options (tips, crystals, etc). I wish they were in Santa Monica, but I will definitely be coming here when im in Arizona. A+.

My experiences here have been great! The business is owned and ran by a lovely couple. They take their time and give great service. They don’t dilute their polish, they sanitize everything, and have NEVER accidentally cut me. They are friendly and talkative unlike some other nail salons. I highly recommend!

I have been going here for years. I have never had a bad experience. I have had pedicures, manicures and nail sets. I even take my mom for mother’s day every year. They still ask me about her. You will not find a better, friendlier, reasonably priced salon.

I have been going to Nick & Candy for several years now as they are close to my work. I go in at lunch and Nick does my nail fill for me in just over ½ hour! How great is that?! :-) Candy gives heavenly pedicures and their prices are super reasonable (pedicures are $ 18, fill is $ 14 and a new set, including removal of the old set is $ 25). They are fabulous about keeping your appointment time and not letting walk-​ins take your time and then you are «squeezed» you in and making you late the way that other salons do. I frequently phone Nick for a last minute appointment — sometimes he has them and sometimes not but, when you get a slot, you know they will cater to you during your scheduled appointment time. Nick and Candy are both super friendly and give excellent service.
