Mid-Way R V Park

Frank and the lady there super nice. Clean and safe. Residents nice. Centrally located.

We enjoyed staying at the Mid-​Way except the site we were given wouldn’t pull in our rooftop TV. We had requested a site that would do that. One night without TV turned out to be OK though and we survived.
The sites are pretty big and landscaped beautifully. The park is immaculate and filled on the perimeter with long-​term RVers. Now I understand the posting of all the rules everywhere.
The office staff was exceptionally nice and gracious.
My biggest complaint is no dog area provided. If it WAS there, I never found it. Plenty of signs saying where they CANNOT go but none saying where they CAN go.
It’s a mile off the freeway and ½ mile from downtown so it’s convenient.
We stayed here on the way to Oregon so it’s just a overnight stop for us.

The sites are a great size; there are lots of pull throughs and back ins. They offer low monthly rates as well, which was prefect for my wife and I. There are locked bathrooms with a couple of showers, and a laundry room open ²⁴⁄₇: $ 1.50 to wash or dry. I would love the addition of a pool or hot tub, but with the low rates in combination with the cold northern seasons, it’s understandable why they don’t have one.
We never had power, water, or sewer issues. The WiFi was another story. At least every other day we would not be able to access the internet. There is either a problem with their wireless router or their internet service provider. We would almost always be able to connect to their router, but often only with local access, and many times we would get randomly kicked off the internet and be unable to reconnect. Good thing we can tether to our smart phones! If the WiFi wasn’t free, we would have complained… a lot.
The landscaping is really nice, but that comes with a price. It does seem that everyday it is not raining, a lawnmower, weedeater, or tree trimmer is running within hearing distance… not the best when you work night shift, but it must be done. The contract does state that you are in charge of watering your own lawn, but we just let the rain handle that for us.
Aside from the yard work, it is usually pretty quiet. There is a wood factory up the road which is constantly omitting sounds from saws, but it’s not loud. A train can sometimes be heard passing by.
Frank, who works in the office, has always been nice with us, but he may not be coming back from the Philippines where we lives half of the year. There is one lady who was always rude and gruff. She constantly hassled us about picking up our mail, and that we were a huge inconvenience because our packages were clogging up the office. Chillax, lady. We were out of town for a few days and a couple of Amazon boxes came early; it’s not the end of the world! She also knew she had an attitude and didn’t seem to care. She told another customer in the shop that she had «beat us down» the other day about our mail when my wife hesitantly asked to check it and she gruffly told her to do it herself. Seriously, a little courtesy goes a long way.
The next time we were out of town, we went in like good tenants and told them to put our mail aside until we got back. The same woman who yelled at us before about it being in the way again gave us a hard time for doing what she asked us to do, and added «It’s fine where it is, no one will mess with it.» All other interactions we had with her were unpleasant, even though she seemed to completely forget who we were although we had been living there for 3 months.
Another thing to note is that the vast majority of people here are permanent residents. If seeing lots of junky yards and questionable people is a turn off for you, then I suggest you don’t stop in this area. However, most of the RV parks in the Centralia region have the same issue.
Without the internet issues, cluttered yards, and the rude office worker, this would be a solid 4.5 stars.

We stayed here!!! SUPER NICE!!! Much green grass — trees – concret pads. They mow the grass EVERY monday… I was working nights… I mean every monday… haha. A real nice place to hang out and relax… you gotta stay here…
