After returning from Crystal River & swimming with Manatees we were starving. Joe’s Crab Shack has a unique ambiance, with the smell of the ocean when you walk in the door. The portions were huge as I had the Back East Platter, which was overflowing with onion rings & fries. Beautifully batted and fried fish & chips and a minced Crab cake had three separate Tartars and was accompanied by a skewer of bacon wrapped shrimp. My wife has an appetizer of carb dip and«balls of fire» fish balls. We enjoyed it but spent $ 70USD on lunch after ordering a few drinks. Good seafood at a price

Great food but the service was very poor. Our waiter was nice but things went downhill after we ordered. One dish arrived and the other was delayed because it was made incorrectly. Several mins later it came out but with the wrong seasoning on it. Thankfully it was still good. Took another 10 mins to get butter! Come on now is this a crab shack why wold butter be an issue! Our fries came just before we ended our meal because the kitchen was behind on fries go figure. This was my first visit to a Joe’s and would be my last but I will give them another try due to the food quality not the service. I will try another location on my next visit to see if the service improves.

We were visiting Orlando for a conference and decided to eat here. I ordered a combo or platter for $ 20 and I think They served something that is just around $ 8-$ 10, in other words it’s not worth it. It’s not what I expected in a seafood restaurant. I probably won’t try it here in St Louis.

Have been to numerous Joe’s locations and really was looking forward to a great meal of crab after not having it for a long time. Our waitress was great and so were the drinks. I highly recommend the bell jar margaritas. Unfortunately my food left a lot to be desired. I ordered the Bucket of Queen crab by recommendation of our server. I wanted whatever they considered the best and that was her suggestion. The crab was overcooked and very difficult to remove. It basically came out in shreds because it was stuck to the shell. It honestly looked like snow crab to me which is a huge price difference from what I was paying so that was disappointing. I asked for butter to dip and it came as very little liquid and all frothy. I don’t recall it being like this at other locations. Will I go back to Joe’s again? Most likely, but I probably will avoid the overpriced crab dishes unless I am at the location up north in MA where you got what you paid for. The drinks alone are worth a visit to any of their locations because they are very consistent.

I’ve been to the Joe’s Crab Shack in Fredericksburg, VA and the one in Eatontown, NJ and both were EXCELLENT. This one, however, was sub-par. I ordered the Bean Town Bake, which is what I order every time I go to a Joe’s Crab Shack. The lobster was good, but they flat out forgot the shrimp and sausages that go in the bake, and there were only three barely cooked chunks of potato and the majority of the clams were empty shells. You can’t mess with a New Englander when it comes to seafood, so I called them out on it. The only reason this review is two stars is because the manager did all she could to rectify the situation, which satisfied us. But the fact is it shouldn’t even have gotten that far. At least the drinks were good!

The food was average at best and expensive as well. The salmon one of our party had was burnt and swimming in fat, the chicken salad was full of hush puppies and four small squares of chicken. The service was very poor and the servers put more effort into the dancing routines they kept having instead of serving. We would not go again and have learnt a lesson.

This was the worst crab shack. 45 minute wait to be seated then the auto pager system couldn’t find us. Waitress was friendly but seemed as if she hated her job. Took orders for beer and food at same time. Beer took 10 minutes to arrive– really. Food took 45 minutes !!! Manager came to table and said delay was because they had to change the oil! In the middle of dinner rush? Manger did comp us an appetizer because of delay but when food came half was cold(like it was prepared 30 minutes ago). Clearly the kitchen was out of synch. Seemed like average age of kitchen staff was 19. Maybe that was problem. Despite being backed up the staff still was«forced» to perform song and dance routines, but none had enthusiasm. It further delayed(and made food colder). This was not a good experience! Don’t go here. Seems like other crab shack has better reviews

We stopped by for dinner and drinks. We had to clean off the bar so we could sit our drinks down and not once did the bar tenders offer to clean up the mess. We then were seated at a booth where the last guest had thrown most of there crab shells on the floor and the wait staff had not cleaned them up. Bathrooms were a mess and there we no paper towels. Will not be back and everyone should think twice before stopping.

If you like enormous amounts of hot seafood this is the place for you. This location has great atmosphere but is a little cramped. The place is loud at night. It’s better to call ahead for a table if you plan on going during dinner hours because the wait can be long. They send you a text when your table is ready which is very helpful. There’s a playground outside to keep the kiddies occupied. I recently had a great server. I can’t remember his name but he was a big guy with glasses. He earned his tip for sure. He kept checking on us and got our order right the first time. Joe’s is always a good place to eat.

I went with my husband and 3 boys on March 10th, 2016. We always look for places we can go with the kids and that’s why we chose Joe’s Crab Shack. There is a playground and tables outside so we can be close to our children. The kids menu has a very nice variety of food even for kids that don’t like seafood. The food was delicious! The waitresses were very friendly. And if location is everything it is in the right place, it’s right across The Orlando Eye.

I very rarely Unilocal but I have to take a moment to recognize the amazing service we received last night from our server Chel. The food was amazing but honestly she made our experience and actual experience! Chel was attentive, personable, answered all of our questions about what we should do while we were in town. Most importantly I am a sauce person, I always ask for extra sauce with just about everything I order and it never fails that the server forgets. she not only did not forgot she came back and asked if I needed MORE!!! Our drinks were always refilled and she checked on us and made us feel taken care of. The food can be amazing anywhere but if the service sucks it kills the whole experience. Chel, thank you so much for making our dinner 5 Star!

We’ve been here twice because this is where our niece requests to go for her birthday… she’s so silly that she ordered pizza at a crab shack, haha! I’ve tolerated their food both times. Last year I had a fried plate of seafood… the seafood was okay but after eating most of it I felt terrible from all of the grease. This year I we shared a stuffed shrimp plate with a fish fillet and a side of coconut shrimp and another of crab legs. The coconut shrimp were decent and the crab okay, but I did not like the stuffed shrimp. The fish was just okay. Price is not terrible, though, so for a seafood meal that is kid friendly, it’s pretty decent. They’ve got a nice outdoor seating area and a playground for the kids. The staff has been consistently friendly and sang for the birthday girl. =) She was happy, so we were happy.

Has a very large selection of ocean foods, very fresh. Great bar tenders that know what they are doing. The servers are very attentive. The place is awesome for a date, for some good food or a family outing.

Great place to get the right grub when your stomach is craving seafood! This place was great service. Issues with one meal. But the manager was sweet & made adjustments to my bill. The snacks and appetizers were awesome! I was really happy with all the service we go & the food was perfect!

I’ve never had crab unless my grandma or grandpa was making it. But this place the outside of the crab was seasoned really well and they give you big pieces of crab for what you pay for. Me and my friend split the crab pot for two. And it was filling it came with a lot of crab, potatoes, shrimp and your choice of corn on the cob, French fries or hush puppies. Get the corn the corn on the cob was bomb didn’t need salt or pepper. Also come on Tuesday and get the happy hour all day. You can get little appetizers and the hurricane is really good and it’s unlimited we got like four and also the pineapple pine colda is a must try… It was amazing!!!

Can’t believe there are no reviews here. Great location, great drinks and very good food. Right here in Celebration, even Walt would love this place. We look for Joe’s when we can hit happy hour 4 – 7 and 9 to close. The hurricane’s are always good and we pair them with house salads for a really cheap evening. The food is mostly fried and shellfish but you can find healthy entrée with out much trouble.

Joe’s is the place to unwind after a day at North Beach … And after fighting the traffic from St Petersburg back to Celebration(Orlando)… The unwinding has started with a house salad which is large and well put together and an order of fries. Joe’s fries are always tasty but this time they are not very warm and not the usual crunchy we like ! The fries were replaced immediately– the new ones were HOT&CRUNCHY! Our Category 5 Hurricanes are fantastic !! Thanks to Amanda & Sam for a happy time at Joes!
