Always a good choice when your looking for fast food Chinese. Service is top notch, I come here about twice a year, and the owner always remembers what I ordered last time.

I’m going to be blunt. This place is the worst I have ever had. I ordered shrimp fried rice and there was not an ounce of taste in the one bite I took which I ended up spitting out. What establishment adds absolutely no seasoning to their dishes… this place. Absolutely horrible.

Service was fine but food wasn’t spectacular. Fine if you just want Chinese cuisine but not big on flavor.

I get egg roll house once every few weeks. Good food and they deliver fast. My favorite is the house vegetable chicken. Crab ragoons have a great flavor. Egg rolls are perfect. I wish it was cheaper. For my family it’s 35 dollars.

Maybe I just got unlucky, maybe I’m just picky from having Madison spoil me with the ungodly amount of Chinese food in that area, or maybe, just maybe, Egg Roll House isn’t that good. I got the orange chicken dish. Now, I’m not the best at cooking Chinese food, but I know when you make food, it’s good to not have one thing be your only flavor. The orange chicken I got was bland and largely tasteless, with the exception of the overwhelming feeling like I was eating a hybrid between meat and a spoiled orange. I realize this is orange chicken and the main flavor will be the orange(and it should be!) – but I expect more than just an orange taste. And judging by the sesame chicken my significant other had, this isn’t just a one-dish fail. The white rice was good, but that’s like being proud of McDonald’s for making edible french fries – you’re making Chinese food, you better know how to make white rice or there’s a problem. Especially when all you really have to do is stick rice and water in a rice cooker. So maybe it’s a combination of all three; I’m unlucky because I’m so picky that I can’t handle one-flavored foods. Or maybe this place could add some pepper and salt in addition to some other spices.

Stop here to grab something quick and that’s what set this place apart from many other restatrants there fast the food is good and they are so friendly and kind there! They are a little pricey but it’s not bad for the service and the quality of there food! I get lo-mein a lot from here and Ness is always trying to eat my food plus the steamed white rice and I can never eat all that food so Hank my dog gets some of the rice!

A nice family-owned business with very good food, fast service and delivery. As the name implies, their egg rolls are their specialty. The smaller, tootsie roll sized rolls are in light & crispy wrap and are the best you’ll find in these here parts. I’m not sure what happened to the original store in a little house near the ghetto Hy-Vee. They ran weekly ads in the Penny Saver and had lines out the door and eventually grew into a multi-store mini-empire. Now there are 3 Egg Roll Houses in CR and one in N. Liberty. They all seem to be owned separately now but none are very busy. That’s too bad because they make a great product.
