This place came highly recommended from my boyfriends good friend, we met them here for dinner last night. We were not disappointed! The tacos were delicious! I had a Mr. Pink, Mr. Orange, and the Independent, my boyfriend had the Mr. Orange and the Crossroads. Our favorite was definitely the Independent, but we loved them all! The service was also very good, the restaurant was clean and was cutely decorated, and the prices are good! We will definitely be back for more!

First — and last — time at this location! Several hours later, and my stomach is killing me. All I can do is keep running to the restroom! Thankfully I only had 1 taco and a couple of chips and queso. Otherwise, I’m afraid I’d spend the whole night laying on the restroom floor.

If you’re super religious, prepare to be startled, there’s devils and demons everywhere in the restaurant(pictures and such, not real demons) lol. The food at Torchey’s is so(damned) good. The prices are really nice as well. I was kinda surprised how good it was. It was a cool place to chill, I was there with a group of friends.

Absolutely delicious tacos! Very fun variety and love that the menu has tons of options and a changing monthly taco. Only 4 stars because everything is a la carte(no meal deals) and it’s pretty pricey. 2 tacos and a drink will run u about $ 12, which is pretty extreme in my opinion.

Oh. My. Gosh. I came in yesterday during lunch time, it was pretty busy, so we debated leaving, but stayed and I am so glad we did. The queso was amazing and all the tacos were perfect(except I got two to-go tacos, one flour and one corn tortilla, but got both flour.) The tacos were so delicious, like heaven in my mouth. The taco of the month, Tipsy Chick, was the best taco I have eaten there! It had grilled chicken, with grilled corn, green chiles, baby spinach, cheese, chipotle ranch, with this maple bacon&bourbon marmalade that put it over the edge. I could eat those forever! I’ll be back with my husband next time; hopefully to get him the right type of tortilla.

Great food, really nice interior design too. After hearing plenty of buzz about Torchy’s, finally got the opportunity and I’m glad I did, because it’s really dang good!

Absolutely LOVE the food. Customer service? Sucks. I brought my brother and family here(who are visiting from California). A friend of mine was running late for plans we had after & couldn’t meet us for dinner anymore. I was already sitting down eating but needed to order her 1 taco to go. Since there were a few of us and I didn’t want to leave the company I brought to wait in the line again, I asked our food deliver waiter what I should do. He advised to just call the order in and when we left to grab it. Great plan! I call and the bartender«Quinn» I believe was his name answered the phone.(& I’ll admit I told him that I was in the restaurant and just needed to order one taco to go)… He looked right at me & said«get up and go get in line I have a lot going on right now»… Please keep in mind that this is the person who takes«CALLAHEADORDERS». Not once did I even ask to rush it, I just didn’t want to leave all my company I brought to go wait again. Quinn hung up on me and refused to make eye contact again. I waited in line to avoid a scene in front of family. To say I won’t be visiting this location again is an understatement. That guy was a joke. My entire family said«wow, this place sucks» and I had to agree. Embarrassing much? For sure. Hey Quinn… Next time you answer the phone to take orders(which is your job). Be a little nicer. It will get you farther in life.

Super excited about this! I will whole heartedly admit that my love of Jesus has had me shy of the«devil» logo here. I’ve never been a fan of anything demonic. But Jesus loves tacos and this Jesus girl loves Torchy’s Tacos! So far I’ve tried: Fried avocado taco Chicken fajita taco Crossroad(I think?- the brisket one) The Missionary(secret menu!) Bacon egg & cheese taco Chips and salsa Chips and queso I have been 3xs this weekend. Two times at dinner and once this morning. All have been amazing. Amazing! Amazing!!! Great meats, great tortillas, love the bowl option and love the price! These tacos are a great size, so one is enough. But the menu is so fun I always want two so I can sample. Friendly fun staff at this location. Clean and hoppin’! My tacos have been made hot and fresh every time. Thanks Torchy’s!

My favorite location overall. Torchy’s greatness with a full bar. Great place to hang out for killer tacos and beer deals. Don’t forget about the secret menu, the missionary style is great!

I grab torchys once or twice a week on my way to the gym. On their best days they deserve 3 stars. The typical 3 star torchys breakfast the eggs are warm but bland, the cheese has melted and I didn’t have to wait 30 minutes for my one taco. The problem is their 3 star days are few and far between. Most days my eggs are barely warm and the cheese is still cold and shredded. Today they hit a new low. I waited 20 minutes for cold, burnt eggs. Im not sure whats worse than rubbery burnt eggs but I’m not going to go back and find out. Yuck. I’m done with Torchys.

The Democrat was damn good, with super tender Barbados. The salsa is really flavorful with roasted tomatoes. And my favorite aspect was the different choices of dipping sauces. Loved them all.

Guess a bad experience is inevitable in even your favorite places. We placed our order and waited 20 minutes for it to arrive. Only, the whole order was not served. My husband went to ask about his taco, and the cashier was able to look up our order. He said«looks like I forgot to key it in.» Then he proceeded to take the order from the next person in line. No apology, no attempt to make it right, nothing. Just left my husband standing there. Wasn’t happy about having to stop somewhere else on the way home to get him something to eat. While I dearly love Torchy’s tacos, I’ll think twice about stopping in again.

1st time and was really good! Had the shrimp Baja taco & the Democrat(barbacoa w/avocado, onions, cilantro, and sauce) pretty full with just those 2 tacos. Try the Diablo sauce if you like heat! Tasty and very hot! All in all delishhhhhh.

Ok. I have to admit that my loyalties seem to be wavering a little here, but I have good reason for it. First of all, this location has a full bar. And a freaking amazing bartender who makes the most amazing bloody Mary’s. Secondly, the patio is quite commendable. The partially covered patio is attached to the bar, and the open patio is of course, open. Either way, there is plenty of seating. Third– it’s closer to me than is tacodeli. Although I still stand by the statement that tacodeli does a MUCH better vegetarian taco, the independent isn’t so bad. HH runs weekdays from 4 – 7(if I’m not wrong) and there are weekend drink specials as well. The parking here is a nightmare, as there are a lot of businesses in the strip mall that have reserved parking for their customers, so I recommend getting here during non rush hours. I admit it– torchy’s has come to my aid more than once, and I am grateful. I shall now go eat humble pie.

This place never lets me down. All other Torchy’s locations tend to fluctuate in terms of food and/or service but this one hits the jackpot every.single.time. Sure, the staff is really young, but doesn’t take away from their excellent service. Also, there is a full bar which you can’t help but to love. I’m not sure if this is just a weekend special but when I was there on a Saturday, there were $ 3 margaritas. Sangria is on the sweet side for me but my friend loved it.

I’ve been here quite a few times since my first review. Unfortunately, there is usually an issue with every visit. One time, I ordered a drink that I didn’t get until we were nearly done eating, even though I asked the server and the bartender about it. Today, we were charged for an item we didn’t order and it wasn’t caught until after payment was made. The management did quickly remedy the situation(we hadn’t even left the ordering counter when it was caught) but the person taking our order insisted that we ordered it, when we absolutely didn’t. That was insulting. The food comes out, with the additional item. We refused the extra item… explaining again about the error. All of our food went back to the kitchen. She wouldn’t leave the correct portion. 4 tables around us that arrived after us got their food items, 2 of them was the same taco I ordered that was taken back to the kitchen, before we got our two tacos. I love the food at Torchy’s but the inconvenience is beginning to make me hesitant to return.

My Torchys — what has happened to you? I’ve been going to Torchys since it was just a truck down on South First(before it moved into it’s own little park). It used to be fresh and good and reliable. I went recently to the Torchys in Cedar Park and just wasn’t a fan. I ordered two monk specials(egg/bacon/cheese/green chile on flour). The tortillas were not great, the toppings flavorless. What happened? They said the tortillas haven’t changed, but they definitely didn’t taste good. Maybe an old batch? Also — the parking here is a nightmare. This lot is tiny and everything is reserved for specific businesses.

Hadn’t been in for quite a while. Stopped in to enjoy a Torchy’s Tini and some Green Chili Queso last week. Have not been out much due to health situation. None of the former Cedarpark team are still there. Sad, however employees are getting harder to come by in the restaurant industry which is growing like crazy in this area! Met one of the new Torchy team members. Natasha was very nice and has great customer service skills. The green chile queso was really good as usual other than although ordered without cilantro there was a healthy dose sprinkled on top. I also order The December Taco of the month a fantastic taco! Shredded lamb, pico de gallo, avocado slices, white tangy cheese and tomatillo sauce. I mean so very tasty– a real home run with me!

5-star taco shop. I have always had consistently good food at Torchys Tacos no matter the location. This location, however, has a full bar. And that’s a plus. The green salsa they serve with chips is so good I want to drink it with a straw. Really. The green salsa is also served with tacos, of course. But to get a real feel for how outstanding this salsa really is, order it with chips. The Brushfire(jerk chicken) tacos are outstanding. They are always outstanding. It’s hard for me to order another taco without getting one of these. I always order it on a flour tortilla. The Baja Shrimp tacos are another outstanding taco on the menu. I literally feel healthy after eating one of these tacos. Lol I always order it on a flour tortilla. I had to park a considerable distance away from the actual taco shop. However, the parking lot is large enough that you will be able to find a space somewhere. Two tips: 1) call ahead because the line is long at lunch. 2) sit at the bar and order w/o waiting in line. Really. Just take a seat and order your tacos. No need to order anything other than water. This little tip is such a time saver that if you use it, you should buy me a taco for telling you about it.

Looking for a(brief) break from BBQ, our friends took us to one of their favorite local places. There are several locations; this one was handy. It was crowded inside, but the wait was short. Their menu is overwhelming, and I wanted about half of it, but narrowed it down to the Green Chile Pork and, I believe, the Trailer Park. Both were huge, and tasty, and I couldn’t quite finish them. Also tried our friend’s brisket one(Crossroads.) Sweetie had the Independent and liked it. We shared a side of corn, which was frigging amazing. Kinda like Mexican street corn, but off the cob and mixed together– cheesy, a little spicy, mmm. Service was minimal but friendly. Prices are okay. There’s a great selection of fountain drinks, many from Maine Root. I’d go back in a heartbeat. Lots to try, and all of it good.
