Ritter Renovations

Mr. Ritter fixed our shoddy job on laminated floors and was able to salvage our work. I love that Ritter Renovations really fixes things and we do not have to call them back because things fall apart after a month (like with other companies).

WORK WAS POOR. And he was very unprofessional!!! Did not provide itemized estimate. Failed to show up on time (7 hours late). Now I need a second handyman to fix his shotty work.

There is no better way to get an idea of the quality of someone’s work then to look at their actual job. I hired Ritter to do my landscaping on my home and they did a good job. So I decided to use them to do some work on my lakehouse. Their installer trashed my place, when I went to check on the job there was at least 2 or 3 empty cases of beer in the house, clothing and undergarments on the floors, liquor, and half eaten food everywhere. As if that was not enough… the quality of the work was so bad… one can only laugh at how bad the installation of the tile was. After I complained to the owner… he got another guy to go out and fix everything and sent me an invoice stating he was certain the job would be satisfactory. this is so bad… anyone who can call this finished does not belong in the home improvement business. The cost to repair this work and the damage done to my lakehouse actually costs more then the original bid for the work. Amazing!!! Hope this link works for you.

Took them to small claims court and showed the judge the pictures and the judge ruled that they must refund me $ 4000 for the quality of thier work and damage to my house. Still waiting for a check… not a reputable business at all!!! stay away.

If I was able to actually screw in a light bulb properly, I could have likely done most of my home repairs myself, but history has proven that it just ends of costing me more when I try to do it myself.
In need of a handyman, my wife grabbed the $ 100 gift certificate for $ 35 off of Groupon. I contacted them and they were able to get an estimator out to me fairly quickly. When he arrived, he was quite informative and even fixed two things for free since he had his tools in the truck and it only took a couple of minutes! As he left he said someone would be in touch to book the remaining repairs.
It took them a while to get someone else out, which was pretty understandable since he sold like 100 groupons at the same time, causing his staff to be all over the place. My repairs weren’t too urgent, so it didn’t bother me. When the eventual repairman arrived, he was a little confused as to what he was there to do, and didn’t have any supplies with him, which I didn’t much understand as I thought that was the point of having someone come out and assess everything on the earlier visit. This led to him having to go to the Home Depot for about 90 minutes (the store is 3 miles from my house) which was included in my final bill.
All in all, the repairs got done at a good level of quality for a reasonable price. I kind of feel like the free repairs I received at the estimate offset the confusion on the repair day. If not for those bumps in the road on their part, this would have been a 5-​star review.
