Need a Brake

Thanks to Matt. Not only did my Ford Escape start running again, but my O2 sensor in my jeep was fixed. I emailed him to get him out to my house and he was able to get everything done in a hour. I loved that he was honest with me about working on a hybrid and still made it happen. I will be calling him for all future needs on my 2 cars, and will be referring him to anyone I know with mechanical issues.

This service is amazing! What could be more convenient than having someone come to me when I need auto repair done! Matt came to my work and replaced my brakes at a cost that was the same or cheaper than the local «brick & mortar» shop. He was fast and had me back on the road in no time. He is honest and is not one of those guys that finds things to fix and overcharge you for. If you need car repair of any kind, check with Matt first and you wont be disappointed.

. OUTSTANDING. Chad is a nice, soft spoken, knowledgeable, conscientious mechanic. He knows his stuff. He’s been working on cars for nearly 20 years and specializes on brakes. But he can do most any auto repair. He came to my office about 9:30. Ran to get additional parts that he recommended (he gave me options) and I ordered, and he was driving away at 1pm. You can’t beat that. His price was FAIR compared to your Goodyear, Lambs, etc AND he didn’t try to oversell me a thing. He pointed out items I may want to watch for, but nothing urgent. He takes credit cards as well.

I want to share a personal anecdote about Need a Brake Owner/​Operator Chad Dennis. I had gone into an auto parts store in Cedar Park in March of 2014 and asked the guys behind the counter some questions about removing some surface spotting on my hood. The employees had not a clue, so Chad – who was at the counter making his own purchase – walked me to a product he recommends, and then took the time to actually show me how to use it, even supplying some cloths from his truck! The product is labeled for a different use, and only a pro would have known the tricks he showed me.
He refused to take any money for potentially saving me hundreds of dollars, and was extremely candid an honest about how to avoid similar problems in the future. While I have no added business to bring to him now, I can certainly say that this kind of kindness and honesty is rare – and deserves to be rewarded for with my and your business in the future!

Need a Brake is the best mechanic that I have ever used. They are inexpensive, on time, trustworthy, and always willing to go an extra mile to keep my car running great. I almost forgot to mention how great it feels to head home from work and realize that your great mechanic fixed everything while you worked.

I had just come out of Walgreens with my 4 year old autistic son and had to rush home to bring my mom (just diagnosed with cancer) some medicine. To my surprise, my car would not start at all. I was in a real bad place since I had nobody to call and my poor son does not do well waiting. Literally out of nowhere, the Need a Brake truck pulled up and Chad got my attention and asked if I needed a jump. He correctly diagnosed the problem as a bad battery and gave me a jump which got me going again. He was so nice and courteous but would not accept any money whatsoever. I was truly impressed and blessed he was there and saved the day. He has a customer for life now. Highly recommend him to anyone and absolute great customer service. I can’t say enough good things and look forward to using him in the future.

Rare to find a trustworthy and competent mechanic. Rarer still to find one that will actually come to you! I won’t take my vehicles to anyone else. Could not recommend any higher!

Need a Brake was easy to schedule with, prompt, and efficient. I paid less than I would have at a one of the major shops in town and had the added convenience of having the work done at my own home. No coordinating car pick up/​drop off or sitting in a waiting room with two small children. You can’t put a price on that! Need a Brake made sure that I understood exactly what parts were being replaced and only did the work that was necessary, which I greatly appreciated. I did not feel intimidated by pushy tactics encouraging me to replace more than I really needed to. I will be calling Need a Brake for all of my future car repairs!
