Established in 2013.

In 2013 David Lumen, Jimmy Richberg, and Dustin Gaedtke decided to team up and form a company dedicated to cutting edge home security and home automation. Their combined 35 years experience and the release of several new cost effective security and automation product lines made this new venture a welcomed challenge in what is sure to be a booming field. Platinum Security is one of the only firms in Austin to represent a variety of alarm manufacturers. Allowing us to choose the best product based on your needs and project scope. All of our products are backed by ²⁴⁄₇ monitoring company, Security Networks.

Meet the Business Owner

James R.

Business Owner

James was born and raised in Austin, Texas. At an early age he began his career in home automation, security, and audio/​video installation. He is a family man with strong values and has a deep passion for employing the veterans of this great country. Over ten years ago he started Sound Advice, a company that specializes in high end AV, automation, and security measures. While owning and operating Sound Advice, Mr. Richburg has helped provide service for over 1,000 customers and has installed over $ 100 million dollars’ worth of home audio, video, and security equipment. The release of several new home security based automation products led to the formation of Platinum Security with several of his fellow industry associates.
