Eco Irrigation and Landscaping

I got fed up of watering the grass using a hose last summer. I tried all sort of automatic sprinklers from Amazon but still it involved lot of work in moving them around and the result unsatisfactory. I am a new homeowner with zero experience in DIY. So I decided that I get an automatic Sprinkler system installed.
First step was getting quotes from multiple installers. I made a list of top 6 installers from Unilocal who had best reviews. Got quotes from 4 of them. I could not secure the appointment within my timeline with the other 2.
So out of all 4 installers Eco irrigation was the second best. I had an issue in my front yard where the AC unit was blocking the section of the front yard.
So one of the quote involved an additional 1600 $ to overcome that problem. Another quote required me to relay the bricks post installation (Note that this quote was the lowest but only by a couple hundred dollars from Eco).
Dennis came over for his quote and assured me that he will take care of the problem without any additional costs [Huge sigh of relief]. He took his time to explain the complete process and the benefits of the Rain Bird products that Eco will be using. He extended me the winter discount even though the promo was over when I requested the quote. He insisted that I give him a check as initial payment but assured me that he will not encash the check if I change my mind within a couple of days. I did give him a check with a little hesitation and started doing my research. All reviews were not positive about Eco Irrigation but most of the bad reviews were with scheduling and warranty. So I decided to go with Eco Irrigation with cost playing a major factor. I was even able to upgrade two components from a silver package to Gold for the same cost. Dennis was very accommodating and reasonable. He was ready to work with me and explained me lot of things in detail.
The process started immediately with Lisa contacting me about the install date, a representative visiting my property for measurements which resulted in a CAD design and all related documentation.
The crew arrived at the set time and finished the installation by the evening. The system is working now and I am a very happy customer. They really changed my ordinary yard to extraordinary.
Please note that I am not an expert with Sprinklers or its components. And my system was just installed a couple of days back. I was very tight on budget and so didn’t invest too much thinking into advanced systems. I will probably update my review after summer after seeing how the system holds up. So please read my review with these in mind. But for now let me list the pros and cons of Eco Irrigation.
Pro’s:
1. Pricing.
2. Great responsive staff. Gives you good insight and walk you through the process step by step.
3. Very accommodating.
4. Quality Rain bird products.
5. Crew arrived on the set time. Very hard working crew.
6. Installation went smooth.
7. Even added additional bubblers where I have plans to add new trees.
Overall I am a very happy customer and glad that everything went smooth. I would definitely recommend Eco to my family and friends.
Now I am listing some areas where Eco can be better.
1. No English speaking member in the crew. It is really difficult to explain something.
2. No WIFI enabled or Mobile App smart controller from Rain Bird. [Dennis said Rain Bird is working on this.] Not sure how flexible Eco will be if you want a Ratchio or something.
3. You need to be on the top to make sure that you get everything as per design.

Our project was to fix a poor landscaping job by the previous owners. The guys came out early removed earth by hand to create a new grade to move water away from our home. They then trenched and installed underground drainage and tied all our gutter downspouts into the system. They finished with river rock and did an amazing. We couldn’t be more happy with their work and the price was really good for the amount of work involved.

Everything went off without a hitch. Quality work, very competitive price, but most importantly they followed through on every commitment and timetable associated with the work. Work crew was great, and the supervisors/​owners showed up on site to plan the landscaping and check in on the work. Couldn’t be happier.
We had a residential sprinkler system installed along with flower beds with trees built in the back yard. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing irrigation or landscaping work.

Be very clear the rating is NOT for the workers but rather the fast talking salesperson, Dennis Benefield. Let me begin by saying NEVER accept a bid for a sprinkler system without FIRST having the city come out and mark your utility lines. Secondly walk the property with the fast talking salesperson so he has a real idea of your property lines and YOUR needs vs what he thinks he knows already. After meeting with the fast talking salesperson, Dennis Benefield, I was pitched a figure which I have no idea is a good one or not. I received a CAD drawing based on what the salesman who clearly was not familiar with the share property concept we have in Plum Creek suggested. After the city came out and marked my lines there was no way the CAD plan was going to work. But keep in mind that I was charged the price based on the CAD plan that Dennis Benefield decided for me without understanding the concepts involved. Where sprinkler heads should have gone I had to have driplines. I had to forgo drip lines in my roses because some of the property was my neighbor’s yard and I was NOT going to pay to water it. It was a jacked up mess. So I talked to the crew and we walked the property with utility flags everywhere and redevised a plan based on the real needs of the available property and my needs. THEY were very helpful in understanding the truth of the real situation. I know I have an unique situation where we share property in Plum Creek. But I am not impressed with Dennis Benefield and his know it all attitude or the price ! I have no way of knowing what the real price would have been if this situation had been done differently. I am sure the drip lines I ended up with rather than sprinkler jeads would have been less expensive. I accept my fault in this for not having my utilities marked first. I followed the advise of the salesperson. When I mentioned to Dennis that as neighbors we share spaces and this is a unique situation he said he walked the property already. I should have been very firm about what parts I shared with my neighbors and what I was not going to pay for. Dennis should have said to have the utility lines marked first. I feel like I have been really hustled. I am irritated enough about it to write this review so you won’t have done to you what I had done to me.

These guys did amazing work. Our old sprinkler system was a mess. Zones with heads scattered all over the yard, extremely low pressure, etc. There man Vega came out once to quote. I expected a whole crew to return but it was just Vega. But some how in less than a day and a half he single handedly replaced about ²⁄₃ our heads, Reconnected more than a dozen so the zones made sense and installed several more.
We also had compost heap and flower bed with two good size palms that needed to be removed and replace with grass. Again a lone man, Mauricio, showed up and to my amazement he knows it all out in less than a day. It looks great.
We will definitely use Eco for future projects.

Our project consisted of a 1400 square foot stone backyard patio with walk way to front yard. Side yard being completely river rocked and full grass, stone brick flower garden boarders and all new irrigation in the front of your house. Lot is a little over an acre and the front yard is probably 40% of the lot. We had 4 quotes provided. Eco Irrigation was not low bid, but the ideas and plans submitted made the most sense and we felt the value of their proposal was the best for our needs.
They did the project in three phases. Side yard first, which took 71 tons of rock and two days. Stone patio which took about 8 days from start to finish and looks fantastic and then the front yard, which only took two days and makes a world of difference in our curb appeal. They did a few additional small things for us without charging more, which I always appreciate and think separates good companies from excellent companies.
All the crews were nice, cleaned up after themselves and worked really hard from dawn to dusk. Adam, the owner, was fantastic to deal with. Always spent as much time with us as we needed to make sure the projects would meet our needs. You can tell he is a man of integrity and family values.
We were super happy with the experience and the results. Will use them for future projects.

I’m extremely satisfied with this company. All the way from sales, customer service, and the crew that came to do the irrigation installation. Everyone was professional, and friendly. The crew arrived on time, and did a great job. I called a few days later because there seemed that the controller needed to be reprogrammed. And they came out the next morning, and reprogrammed it. Awesome. I definitely recommend them, and will use them again if and when I need to do any landscaping.

We recently had a sprinkler system in and thank goodness Eco Irrigation was the only company willing to give us a quote and do the work right away. I say thank goodness because I can’t believe we could have gotten any better service. They scheduled us for the 27^th but called last week and let us know they had a cancellation and knew we wanted it installed ASAP.
There were a couple of hiccups as there always is with any service if this type. I believe the gentleman in charge of our installation was Carmello. He not only worked hard and long to complete but they were able to replace the sod rather than leaving us with a checkerboard of dirt and grass. He was very careful to ensure we received the best job as well as the best communication, addressing our concerns and questions. The system is outstanding and we are very pleased with everything from the start with the salesmen to the end in dealing with the office staff. If you have any landscaping needs this is the place to go first. Love these guys.

SHOPPERS BE WARE: I will say I was very excited about having my new sprinkler system place after talking with Dennis the salesman. This process started in May and ended June 27^th.
They were schedule to come out on June 23 at 0900, but they did not show up and no call was call made to me to inform me of problem. I finally texted Lisa at 1:24 pm and Lisa then talked with crew leader. Lisa texted me back they should be there any minute at 1:26 pm. They arrived around 2:30 pm. I was informed by the workers that behind with another job. I was told by the workers that they would not be able to complete the work today so they would come back the Wednesday to complete the install for outside. I informed them I would not be home for the next 3 day because I be working. The workers said someone will be out on Saturday 6÷27÷15 to complete the installation of my control panel.
I received confirmation from Lisa that they would be here between 0900 – 1100 am. I informed Lisa to please have them come closer to 0900 am because I have plans afternoon. She texted me back saying they should be there between 09 – 0930. I Thanked her. Once again that did not happen. I received not calls and the worker showed up at 1pm when we were on our way out. I told the guy he could not install no because I was about to leave my house and asked me for 30 mins. I told him no they would need to reschedule. They guy calls someone. Few moments later I received a call from this man.
I informed him I was very upset because this is second time your team members did not show up to work as schedule. I was expecting the hear I’m sorry, what can I do make thing right. But instead this Man talking to me in a very rude and disrespectful manor stating. «I was in a good mood and now I am not, I don’t know what has happened in the past, the issue know is getting your system put in. I informed him that is was more than just getting my system put in. He continue talking to me as if he was doing me a favor by installing my system whenever he could. I then express that my time is very valuable and I was paying for this service.
He was quick to inform me that what ever I paid he has paid more. I was shocked and I then asked who he was because I was going to report his behavior and he informed me that he was the owner. I then told him then he should not better then to treat his customer this way. Once I pointed out the his customer service suck he gave me some lame excuses why they could not be there at my home because the weather was bad and radar doppler more rain issue this has nothing to do with me. Then he had some lame excuse about they don’t usually work on Satursday but they came in special to complete my install. I informed him they came in on Saturday because you staff don’t show up on time and therefore can’t complete the jobs they have booked.
This owner said «to me the reason I was upset it because he would not kiss my Ass». I informed him I dont need my ASS KISSED I need his company to come to work on time and do their job and if you can’t contact me and let me know. I am still mad about how he talked to me, that it has taken me all this long to respond.
SHOPPERS BE WARE. The sprinkler system is okay but their customer service Sucks SO FOR THAT REASON I WILL NOT RECOMMEND. Get a new owner or keep him from talking with people. I am locked for 5 years. I feel like my in hell with this company.

Completing the «trifecta of awesome» businesses that I have worked with this year based on Unilocal reviews, I had a lot of gardening work that needed completing, and we chose Eco-​irrigation to do our work based on following up with us promptly from our initial emails as well as the initial quote.
Again, due to the crazy weather that happened in May, the team held back from rushing the job and not working in a flooded garden — which we really appreciated.
In total, Maurice (the hardest working landscaper I have ever met!)
— Cleared all the old leaves and debris
— Trimmed our trees
— Relaid a pallets worth of sod
— Mulched all of our borders
and did it singlehandedly in a very long day from 9 — 6pm

Had a sprinkler system installed a few months ago. They did a great job, didn’t tear up our lawn any more than they had to, and followed through. Really pleased — would recommend them to anyone needing to install an irrigation system!

Wow, just wow. I can’t say enough about these guys, especially Adam.
I have used them twice for mulching, this year I needed it on a specific day as we are selling our house. They rearranged their schedule to fit me in between pollen dropping and picture day.
They don’t just spread mulch, they cleared all beds out of leaves, spread 35 yards of mulch in the front and back and worked until 7pm to get it done. It is a large yard with giant mulch beds, it isn’t something you can do alone and if I ever need mulching I would go no where else.
I can’t speak to their irrigation as I haven’t used it but I’ve seen many neighbors post about them and I would use them in a heart beat if I ever had a sprinkler issue.

We used Eco Irrigation to install drip irrigation in our entire yard. Their crew was very friendly and did a great job making sure all the grass and landscaping beds were covered. I am not a big review writer however my recent experience with Eco has been amazing. I recently put in a pool and was anxious to get my irrigation back on track so I was eager to get on their schedule. I worked with Lisa and WOW. super sweet and so very accommodating to me and my constant need to reschedule. The guys showed up EARLY and stayed late to to get me up and running. The staff is friendly, kind and speaks english. I will always recommend them to anyone that needs expert sprinkler installation. Thanks guys!

Scheduled an appointment with a nice lady for between 3 and 6 p.m. At 5:50 she called and cancelled. Called her back at her request to reschedule. She scheduled an appointment for another day, between 3 and 5 p.m. At 4:45 that day someone with a bad cell phone connection and a very limited ability to speak English calls to say he might be able to make it by 5:30. No, thanks.

I as a home owner already had a sprinkler system in my backyard, however upon a design change I needed to have my sprinklers system re-​set. I had Eco Irrigation to came in and not only did they repositioned my sprinklers they made sure there was proper ground coverage. They also installed a rain meter so I would not be wasting water on days where it rained. In addition they put tree bubbler’s on all the new trees, as well as a drip system for my flower beds. I had planted as well. Their work was completed within two days and I couldn’t be happier

These folks did great work on my house. They did a turnkey install of my sprinkling system. After the install I asked them to move the rain sensor to the back of the house and they got it taken care of with no hassle!

Eco Irrigation is an outstanding and friendly Company.
I prerfomed a search for an Irrigation System I contacted 5 companies, of the 5 only 2 replied Eco and one other company we slected Eco. Dennis came by in Oct 2012, we set up for install for the third week of Jan 2013. We recieved the cad drawing via email.
We got a call from Lisa, to ask if they could come early I said sure. Eco showed up on the day and time as said in the phone call. We eleven stations the work was done in a day ½, very professional clean up was done very good. My only complaint was it was very cold that day the second was warmer I wish it could’ve wait one day for the workers .We are very pleased with our system and with Eco Irrigation.
My wife and I very highly recommend Eco.
Now the have a new service rainharvesting.
Lisa, Eco can you do something about some rain for the side of IH 35 we need rain in our Lakes lol
