Cypress Creek Pet Care

We found the prices here are significantly higher than other vets in the area. $ 150 for an antibiotic for our cat, versus $ 50 at the 2222 vet clinic. $ 700 to declaw a cat, versus $ 250 at 2222. Not to mention that my husband was at this clinic for two whole hours for a checkup on a single cat. At 2222 you can drop your pets off early in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon. I’m honestly not sure why anyone should go here. I also found the staff at 2222 to be far more friendly and helpful.

I recently moved to CP and went to Cypress Creek Pet care and didn’t care for it… for one long doctor wait for pre-​scheduled appointment, two the pricing on new patient exams are about $ 20 higher than others, three, the doctor doesn’t come till the very end (Dr. Shuback?), four at least for our dog the technician ordered the cytology ear test without ever seeing the dog’s ears and neither did the doctor see the dog’s ear even once before the test was ordered. one would think they would at least take a look at the ear first before ordering a ear test… and five for that high a new patient visit charge, the dog was not even examined and there was no effort to get to know the dog or make him feel calm. (however the front office is very nice, and the tech seemed friendly and kind while trimming nails). I will be looking for another. so figured this may help in your consideration while looking.

Clean, caring, attentive, responsible, respectful, and friendly. The two docs I’ve seen here, Drs. Kim and Hopper, have both been wonderful to me and my cats. The staff is welcoming; the waiting room is clean and open with areas to keep pets separate. There is even a nice little area for the humans to get some tea or coffee! The only time I have ever waited was when there was an emergency patient, and I was told immediately – even offered to reschedule me at another time at my convenience. Unfortunately these things happen, and if it was me in that emergency position, I’d be thankful for the docs for doing that. They also offer special diet foods available at the clinic, grooming, and boarding. Finally, they offer a medication delivery-​to-​curb service! How nice!
The doctors take their time with your pets and treat them as if they were your own. They are very clear about the financial aspects of the visit (especially if it is an issue). Rest assured, this will be the only family vet you need!

Dr. Bouloy and the rest of the staff at Cypress Creek Pet Care are top notch in our book. Ozzy has been visiting this vet (previously Highway 620 Animal Hospital) ever since we brought him home from the shelter six years ago and we wouldn’t think of taking him anywhere else. Each member of the staff we’ve been in contact with truly understands that a pet is a special part of the family.
Ozzy has had trouble getting over an illness and just recently Dr. Bouloy aked us to bring him in for a secondary exam before leaving for an out of town trip. This means that Dr. Bouloy cared enough about Ozzy to make time in an already busy schedule to take another look in an attempt to further rule out things that might be causing this illness.
This is only one example of many over the past six years that makes Dr. Bouloy and his staff of pet lovers very special.

We took our pets here for the last two and a half years. We have a dog and two cats and saw Dr. Hopper! She truly makes you feel like she cares for your pets like they are her own. She helped solve some issues with our pets that the last three vets in two different states couldn’t. We highly recommend Cypress Creek Pet Care! Staff is fantastic the moment you walk in! Sad had to have moved out of state but we know if we ever need anything they will help out the best they can!

My pets go to Cypress Creek for all of their health needs as well as boarding and day care. Dr Bouloy,
as well as all of the vets, techs and specialists are top notch. From a professional, service and business ethics standpoint, I give Cypress Creek the highest rating possible.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Bouloy and the entire staff at Cypress Creek Pet Care. We have 4 dogs, and they all are in Dr. B’s care. Our most recent foster, turned adoptee, came to us with horrible allergies, and Dr. B. has worked patiently and diligently to help this little guy get relief. Recently we left our allergy dog at CCPC for boarding while we went on vacation, and the staff quickly responded to my every inquiry and left me with nothing less than total peace of mind — thanks Dawn!

I can’t say enough good things about Cypress Creek Pet Care. I only wish my own personal doctor were as good as these people! Dr. Bouloy is amazing. My dog is 17 years old and dealing with many issues, so she has been to the vet more often this year. When I was on vacation and she was staying overnight, he called on several occasions to let me know how she was doing. He is always returns my calls, sometimes after dinner because he is working late. The care and concern he has for my pet are obvious. The front-​desk staff is also amazing. My husband misplaced his keys once, and someone from the front desk came out and helped us search (we found them!). Besides that, they are just plain friendly! The staff that takes care of our dog when we board her also portray their love and care for the animals. They always have a sweet word to say about her when we pick her up. Because of her advanced age, she had an accident right before I picked her up the last time I boarded her; they bathed her for free even though it was through no fault of their own that she was soiled. Cypress Creek Pet Care loves the animals in their care, and also the owners!

So I went in with two dogs, one with a UTI I thought and a nodule to check, looked like cancer, an eye that had some goo, looked like perhaps a scratch or irritation, nothing serious, and the other dog I thought needed a bordatella shot and wanted to set up teeth cleaning. I expressed my concern about cost right up front to both the vet and techs.
Well the dogs were checked out, the 2^nd dog actually did not need the shot but yes teeth cleaning was advised, and the first dog did indeed have a UTI and skin cancer in the nodule. The vet aspirated some other spots off of both dogs to make sure they were not cancer too. They totally looked like skin tags tho, and I was not worried about them. Since he was just taking a sample cells and looking in the microscope for them and didn’t mention that there would be any extra cost, I thought this was all part of the exam process for the cancer cell detection.
The bill for this visit — $ 500+ !!! Seriously. It did include medicine for the UTI and some eye drops, but that was it. This included no blood work, just the office visit, these two meds and a hell of a high charge to aspirate the nodule plus 3 other skin tags and look in the eye and apply wash drops.
WTF? $ 500? The vet knew I was concerned about cost as he kept talking to me about the possible cost of surgery for the skin cancer. Then why did he start aspirating these other spots charging me for each one, when they were very obviously NOT ANYTHING TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT. THEY WERE SKIN TAGS!
I told them immediately I would not be coming back. Highway robbery here.
Their estimates also for the teeth cleaning and surgery for skin cancer also are $ 300 – 500 more than the other vet I am now taking them to. I feel very taken advantage of.

The doctors and supporting staff are all very nice and knowledgable. I love the way they all treat my dogs. The doctors call after appointments to make sure my boxers are feeling better or did well after vaccinations. They all really care!

The wait was awful. They need to do a better job of scheduling. 1.5 hours is insane.

I absolutely love the doctors and staff at Cypress Creek Pet Care because it’s clear they LOVE the animals they care for. We’ve brought all of our pets here for over 10 years and they cared for my son’s dog after he’d been in a horrific fight.
Dr. Hooper was so patient and understanding thru one of my cat’s illnesses and when she eventually had to be put down.
Whether you’re dealing with a sick or injured pet or even grooming, you won’t find better care for your furry babies.
The best part – they groom CATS! My Maxwell has never looked or smelled as handsome after he’s been groomed at Cypress Creek Pet Care.

When it comes to our four legged family member, there’s no where else I’d take her! Everyone at Cypress Creek is friendly, extremely knowledgable, and eager to help your pet. The ample waiting room is perfect for those of us who have a «doesn’t-play-well-with-others» dog! Not that we have ever waited long.
Our dog suffered an FCE, and Dr. Bouloy was so calm, compassionate, and eased us into a plan of care to rehab our dog. She’s doing great now, and trying to keep up with all the neighborhood dogs! Boarding here is also an ease, and I have no doubt our special dog gets lots of loving!
Cypress Creek Pet Care is the only place to take your furry loved one.

I love Dr. Ray Bouloy. I drive from South Austin to his office in Cedar Park. It took five vets to diagnose my dog. He is compassionate and answers all of my emails. My dog is doing so much better thanks to Dr. Bouloy. Thank you!

We first brought our dog here because this was the same vet his rescue group used and we decided to keep it consistent. I noticed how freaked out our new addition was to go into the vet but I figured this was probably his normal reaction. Well after the second visit, I understood his canine perspective. Watching the vet try to trim his nails was so painful I was seconds away from telling her to forget about it. She held him in a very awkward way and it was clear she wasn’t comfortable around him (he’s a wiener dog, so he’s not a big awkward size).
We came back for an assessment on his back leg, she took x-​rays, and then told me she really didn’t know what was going on. I mean, of course the answers to medical issues may not immediately present themselves and I completely get that — but she had no ideas, no tips, or anything. In fact, the first thing she said to me when we went to look at the x-​rays was «here’s his genitals.» Um. Yeah. I know I have a boy dog… so can we move on to the issue I’m really worried about?!
The best thing to come out of that appt. was a recommendation to a surgeon who was amazing and gave us a recommendation for a new vet. (Btw, the surgeon assessed his leg in about 5 minutes and said some crate rest was all that was needed! So happy I spent all that money on x-​rays!)
Everyone was friendly enough at the clinic, the space was clean, and the location convenient, but my personal experience was not fabulous.

the front desk person was so bad. she was really unkind and made my mood bad when I scheduled an appointment with her.
when I said thank you at the end of the conversation, she even didn’t reply and just hung up.
I think she should be nicer to the costumers, otherwise people who use this clinic will be unpleasant.

Cypress Creek Pet Care is the best vet clinic my family has ever been to! The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The vet techs are excellent too, especially Josh who spent extra time searching the internet for some specific food bowls to slow down our fast eating dog. He also showed us a youtube video of what to do with dogs’ reverse sneezing, which happens to our dogs during allergy season.
Furthermore, Dr. Kim is an amazing vet. She never makes us feel rushed and she covers everything thoroughly about our dog’s issues. She is understanding and actually listens to everything we say. I can’t say enough about how great she is with pets and people.
Our initial visit to Cypress Creek was under sad circumstances when our precious 8 year old dog was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, which left us with only four days with her before she died. The vets were so kind and compassionate and even cried with us for our loss. They also sent us the sweetest sympathy card signed by everyone in the office. It meant so much to us.
If you want your pet and your family to be cared for and treated with respect and dignity at a vet’s office, this is the pet care place for you!

Dr. Kim is great. My cat had to get shots and Dr. Kim made it look easy. She is very personable and talks owners and pets through getting the care. She also had to help our family with relocating cat to Portland, Oregon and helped me research how to do it.

Fans of the now defunct Highway 620 Animal Hospital will be fans of Cypress Creek Pet Care, since it’s the same folks at a new, improved location.
The vets I’ve dealt with here have all been gentle, kind and thorough with our dogs. When my current canine companion went in for a routine check-​up, Dr. Kim happened to find a small cancer under her skin in an obscure location. She ran a quick biopsy and came back with the tough news and a plan for dealing with it quickly. Dr. Bouloy, the senior vet and practice owner, who does most of the surgeries, took care of my fortunate little friend, and even called me at home afterward to check on her. She is currently doing great and is back in action with a vengeance, dragging me on 3-​mile walks through the neighborhood.
With our previous long-​time family dogs, Dr. Van Scoy was gentle and supportive as we had to deal with tough end of life issues.
The vets’ knowledge and manner, both with the humans and the animals, is impressive. I’ve also personally checked out their enlarged boarding facility, including two sections of dog runs in the back, and have left my dog with them for boarding. They accommodated us with her special food and need for a quiet area.
She doesn’t do well with separation from me (and who would, after all?), but she did pretty well at Cypress Creek, considering that the techs were vying for her affections. When I bring her in for check-​ups, one will always remember her and come say hello. It’s a good thing I’m not the jealous type.
