Cedar Park Kids Day Out

Two of my 3 kids (3^rd isn’t old enough) have attended CPKDO since my oldest was 2 ½, and the location was at a different church close by.
Ms. Alyson and Mr. Fred are the owners/​directors of the school. They both are probably the two kindest people you could meet. They LOVE, our kids. And I couldn’t ask for more than that. But they give more than that! They get to know each kid individually, and treat them all with such respect.
They hire quality teachers, and offer such a great curriculum. The kids get Spanish lessons, Yoga, Sign, and they even have Chapel!
The teachers and directors at CPKDO are nothing short of amazing.
Ms. Nikki has such a gentle sweet soul which is absolutely perfect for the 3’s class. She’s ALWAYS smiling and so patient. My super shy and apprehensive daughter started out in the 2’s class but didn’t do well because she was and older two, and just didn’t do well with the younger kids. So we moved her up to the 3’s class a month or two early and on the first day she didn’t want me to leave. Which as any parent would tell you, is heartbreaking. Ms. Nikki got her distracted fairly quickly and I was able to go without any tears. The next day, I dropped her off, she gave me a quick hug and walked in the class and never looked back. I’m so glad that Ms. Alyson and Nikki both supported me on moving her up a little early. It was a perfect move.
Ms. Melissa is firm, but kind with the 4/5’s. A perfect balance for what they need at that age. She was able to address some very mild learning issues with my son, and I worked with him at home, and completely overcame them. The fact that she even paid attention to these things, and wanted to make sure that he was above where she knew he could be was so very encouraging. When my daughter started her class I thought she might shut down a bit because Ms. Melissa is firmer than Nikki. Don’t get me wrong. She’s not mean. But she focuses a lot more on structure. And I knew that it was necessary. I just didn’t want my daughter to respond poorly. Ms. Melissa has a knack for knowing just how firm she needs to be with each student. Laney never shut down with her, and almost never got into trouble. Ms. Melissa really does help transition them from the fun easy going toddler 3’s class into a fun but more structured class, which is completely appropriate for their age.
Ms. Dawn is phenomenal at getting the kids ready to start Kindergarten. Both my son whose now in 1^st grade had her for their bridge program, and my daughter currently has her. My son was so completely prepared to start Kinder. He knew his sight words, some math, and pretty much all of the things they expect all Kindergarteners to know prior to moving up to 1^st grade! Which is so great for their confidence. Starting a new school with new friends and longer hours is daunting. But he was 100% prepared.
This year they started the STEM pilot program which I cannot say enough great things about. My daughter loves science and Ms. Dawn loves to teach about Science. My daughter comes home singing new songs about bones, and body parts. She schooled me on the proper stages of a butterfly. She writes her name first and last as well as reads more than a handful of words. She knows all of her letters, and can write them all, and count well into 100. Being that she’s a lot more reserved than my son is, I am SO thankful for this headstart because she will need the extra confidence going into Kinder.
Ms.Dawns love for teaching is reflected in the attitudes of the students. They all love being there and learning. Every time a parent picks up the kids are always eager to share what they did and learned. I also wanted to note that Ms. Dawn embraced both of my kids artistic side and encouraged them to draw and color. I have some amazing art pieced from both of my kids that I will cherish forever. My son is also in the gifted and talented program at his school which I accredit CPKDO for!
I rave about this school to anyone who will listen and trust them completely with my kids. I look forward to the day that my youngest will be able to attend!

All of my 4 children have attended (or will attend) Cedar Park Kids Day Out for the last 8 years. Our family moved out of state for a couple of those years so I have experience with other preschools. No other school has been more loving to my children and my kids have felt the most comfortable at this school. The teachers and director are awesome!

Cedar Park KDO is an excellent program and we have had only positive experiences here! Our daughter loves to attend school here and would go everyday if she could. Wonderful teachers and director!
