History

Established in 1983.

Dr. Robert C. Packard practiced orthodontics in Idaho for 16 years before coming to Texas in 1983. His first two offices in Plano and Richardson were known as The Orthodontic Place. In 1993 his oldest son, Chad Packard, moved to Texas to help his father expand his thriving practice. Between 1992 and 1999, offices were added in Carrollton, Mesquite, N. Dallas, Irving, Bedford, Ft. Worth, and Denton, The Colony and Arlington. Since 2000, additional offices have been opened in Cedar Hill, Frisco, Rockwall, Little Elm and Lewisville.

In 1997, the business became known as Apple Orthodontix. Today, Apple Orthodontix operates 16 offices with 12 doctors and 120 employees. Additional offices are in the planning stages. Apple is now the largest provider of orthodontic care in the Dallas area. They are best known for providing braces «for the smile of your life».
