The Upper Limit Aviation, a helicopter and fixed wing flight school, is partnered with Southern Utah University at Cedar City, Utah. Together, ULA and SUU combine a top-​rated Professional Pilot Program with a college degree. ULA-​SUU experience is designed to offer quality flight training to career-​minded students looking to launch a commercial pilot career while earning an AAS or Bachelors Degree. At ULA-​SUU, flight training operates in a professional atmosphere where all members receive quality training and personal attention. Professional pilots with the right educational background and training are better suited to compete for the best aviation jobs anywhere in the world. ULA at SUU provides flight training in a personalized learning environment that is designed to lead students to better career opportunities.

History

Established in 2004.

We launched Upper Limit Aviation in March of 2004. We began training students and immediately created a standardized course curriculum to meet the rigorous FAA standards of an Approved FAA Pilot School.

By 2006, ULA was able to train from Private Pilot to Certified Flight Instrument Instructor (CFII) under FAA Part 141, and became one of the only flight schools in Utah to be registered as a Post Secondary School with the Department of Commerce and Division of Consumer Protection.

In early 2007, Upper Limit Aviation began working with institutions of higher learning to offer flight training while earning a college degree. These relationships have been used by our students to work toward earning an Associates and Bachelors degree.
