Established in 2002.

We started off as a pool maintenance /​service company.

Having serviced thousands of pools, we are well versed in maintenance and pool water chemistry related issues.

Over the years, we have built three pool service businesses /​routes and sold them to three seperate buyers.

Currently, we specialize in performing pool equipment repairs and renovations as well as full pool remodeling.

Business Owner

Matt Sharp has been in the Phoenix, Arizona Swimming Pool Industry for 13 years.

An alumni of the University of Washington and Arizona State University, he holds a B.S. in Political Science from ASU.

He has been active in Arizona politics and a national presidential campaign as an activist and campaign volunteer. He has been instrumental in starting a citizens initiative and lobbying state and national political leaders in matters relating to legal issues with photo radar.

Pool industry accomplishments include former secretary of the East Valley Independant Pool and Spa Service Association.

I met with Matt to discuss my pool remodel. I found him to be very knowledgeable about what needed to be done when remodeling a pool. I welcomed his ideas and we laid out a plan for my pool remodel. My pool was built in the early 60’s and has never had any updates. Matt and his team did an amazing job remodeling & updating the pool. My pool is like brand new ! I would highly recommend Sharp Pool creation if you need to have an update or total remodel.

This year we decided to get the pool remodeled since the plaster was starting to crumble in a few places. I called a handful of places (some big names, some smaller) and decided to go with Matt for a number of reasons. Nobody was better than Matt in terms of laying out all of my options and making recommendations based on the budget I had. I appreciated that he took the time to explain every cost involved with a remodel and what options I had for some of the items. He really showed his knowledge when he gave me a timeline and then gave me the reasons why things may be delayed a bit (e.g. concrete work needed). The project came to an end only a few days later than initially estimated. During the project, I reached out to him with a status update and he got back to me within a day with an updated timeline, it was really helpful. It’s been a few months since the project has been wrapped up and everything still looks fantastic. Thanks Matt!

Matt Sharp, yep, THE Sharp of «Sharp Pool Creations» is who we had the pleasure of working with from the start.
As a side note, our project grew in size (at my choice), from a home warranty call on our backyard in-​ground pool filter and plumbing to adding a request to replace a failed halogen spa light with an LED light which was needed for our in-​ground front area spa… point is, Sharp Pool Creations employees are great as well.
Either way, back to the review. The two points I want to make are:
1) If you have a home warranty company and have the ability to request a Pool Company, Sharp Pool Creations is your team… it will be fixed once and it will be fixed right. Communications, Quality of work, as his shirt said, Exceeded Expectations.
2) If you have a job you want to complete (as we did with the LED kit and controller for the Spa) he provided me multiple options, each with an approximate cost (including, part, labor, tax, etc) and guess what? He did the work, with quality parts, quality workmanship, and came in at exactly what he quoted.
Matt taught me quite a bit about my pool system. Helped me to understand where some electrical changes needed to be made for safety issues that would be fixed by an electrician (he was not trying to up-​charge or sell, literally providing safety information for my home). All of this was scheduled, setup, and completed in less than a week. YES, from my call to the home warranty regarding my pool filter/​plumbing to the site review (and request to replace the bad halogen bulb in the spa with an LED and controller), it was 5 days. He had a FULL plate of business already that week, but offered to fit us in his schedule if he could come at 645am… seriously, how many people have that work ethic anymore? Pool Repair, Pool Design, Pool Engineers are a dime a dozen in AZ… Sharp Pool Creations, well, they are one in a million.
Thank you for turning a bad situation with our pool pump and plumbing into one awesome experience.

Matt and his crew recently finished a great remodel of one of our pools. He took a dud and turned it into a resort like oasis. He has also fixed many pool problems for us ranging from filter failures, pool heater repairs, and replacement pool motors. He is very knowledgable about pools and spas and can quickly diagnose and repair your issues. I recommend him to friends and family on a regular basis. You will not be disappointed in his quality of work.

I recently moved into a home and the pool needed some work done. Matt has come out three times, once to fix a motor, once to fix a water valve and lastly to fix the plumbing around the filter. Matt is always available to come and fix what is broken and is extremely reliable. In addition, he is always on time and does quality work. I had shown him some bids from other pool companies and he went down the list with me showing where they were overcharging, what actually needed to be done and what was just a scam, and what a fair price is. He is extremely honest and not looking to cheat someone just to get a dollar in his pocket. It was extremely refreshing to deal with someone that you can trust.
Also, for what it is worth, when Matt has come over and worked, he doesn’t just go through the motions. You can tell he works hard and doesn’t just go through the motions. If he has to go to his truck for something, he does a speed walk (almost running).
If you are need of pool repairs or anything, I would highly recommend Matt and Sharp Pool Creations.
