As all other reviewers have indicated Bill is very thorough and very professional. He identifies issues which other inspectors have missed. I am going through that right now and thanks to Bill, identified a major flaw with the installation of the a/​c system in the house I’m looking to buy. Two other inspectors missed this issue, the county inspector and the current owner’s inspector. His report is detailed and accompanied with corresponding photos so it’s very easy to understand and helps prioritize the issues. I could not be more pleased. Thank you Bill!

Bill is a great guy. Everything from the initial phone conversation with his wife all the way to the end product was amazing. Although the home I was buying looked in very good shape, Bill still took his time looking over the house and was very detailed. The report came to me within a day, was easy to access and read (with pictures), and was easy to send to others (agents or contractors). Will definitely recommend Schultz to friends and family.

I’ve been burned before by companies with all 5-​star reviews having fake reviews so I was a little hesitant with this one, but I shouldn’t have been!
I couldn’t be more impressed with Bill and Schultz Property Inspection in general!
From the online reservation system to the detailed report with pictures for every item, I wish Bill did inspections in LA, where I am an agent, as I’d use him for all of my homes. I also spoke to his wife on the phone with some questions when I was setting up my appointment online and she was very friendly! They also don’t schedule more than two appointments per day to ensure he can spend as much time as is needed.
Bill was on time, very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional and is a member of ASHI and CREIA. He took his time doing the inspection (in a good way) and was more than happy to explain to us in detail the issues he encountered. Some of the things he uncovered clearly showed his attention to detail. He left the house at 5:30pm and by 10:15pm I had a full, detailed report in my inbox!
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bill to anyone who wants a thorough home inspection.

Inspection for purchase in Cathedral City. This is the 2nd time I’ve used Schultz Property Insp. Very thorough and honest assessment. Bought property knowing what needs attention. This guy is the greatest and nicest guy. I bought a house in a town I don’t live, so, I couldn’t be there at the inspection. He told me to call him and go through the report when he was done with it. I did and he took me through every detail to make sure I understood it and made all the right decisions. His report was thorough and detailed. I’ve done this many times, this guy was the best. Highly recommend him!

Schultz Property Inspection was recommended by our real estate agent. He told us that Bill is VERY thorough, and we can now confirm that. As a buyer, that’s what I was looking for. Bill takes the time to explain his inspection process, and was happy to have us follow him throughout to ask questions and get his take on each item he was looking at. He was very accommodating in answering our questions and offer explanations on the features of our new home. Our home is a new construction, so we did not expect him to find as many items as one would with an older home. In fact, Bill seemed a bit disappointed there were not more items to note! Part of the reason we chose Schultz was the fact that they offered both electronic and hard copy versions of their report. Also, scheduling and followup with Vikki in the office was outstanding. In fact, Vikki hand delivered the hard copy of our report to our home. Now that is service! Would highly recommend them as a buyer… and be concerned if I was a seller!

I first learned about Schultz Property Inspection when I was purchasing my condo in Palm Springs. Bill was early (he always is) and incredibly thorough, telling it like it is on the condition of the property and pointing out what’s not up to current code without being alarmist. As both a Realtor and homeowner, I appreciate that knowledge — you want to know what to look for now and more importantly, what to be aware of down the line as you live in the space.
I also know that he’s the best in town because listing agents haven’t liked it when he’s the inspector for the buyer. When I’m representing the Seller, I prefer to have someone like Bill there so my Seller can be aware of things that they might not be aware of. With that in mind, Schultz is my go-​to for Property Inspection!
Oh — almost forgot — Vicki (Bill’s wife) handles all the bookings and office stuff — she’s so sweet to work with and very helpful in working with scheduling challenges!

Bill was very professional and thorough. Based on his inspection we were able to determine if our potential purchase was a solid investment or a money pit. His inspection not only revealed the obvious issues but also revealed the hidden dangers that were not so obvious. This is the first Unilocal review I have ever written; I feel compelled to do so. Schultz Property Inspection provides excellent service, and I very highly recommend them. My partner and I were in escrow on a house in Joshua Tree, and we wanted an inspector who was familiar with desert homes but who was also independent and thorough. Bill Schultz fit the bill, so to speak. We were very lucky, since we found him simply by searching on line. Bill was very kind, helpful and detail oriented. He spent nearly four hours looking at our 1100 square foot home, answered questions along the way, and provided a 65-​page report the next day. We felt very educated and confident going through with our purchase — which involved finding a structural engineer to evaluate a foundation problem Bill identified (and that we never would have seen on our own). Choosing Schultz Property Inspection was one of the best things we did in this long and arduous process. Thank you.
