Liberty Smog Check

This shop is small but EXTREMELY CLEAN. Went in today with an appointment, and car was done in less then 15 mins (considering no other customer was there). Guy was polite and professional! I have two more years before the next check but will definitely go back to this place!

Needed a smog test, but I have to be at work by 8:00,I called Liberty and they told me they open at 7:00 am. Just what I needed. Price was right and I was in and out in
no time, plus the place is clean. and the guy there really seems to know his business,

Read a few good reviews for this place, so I decided to give them a try. I came in at 2:45ish today (Friday), and the place was closed. Not meeting my expectations when the actual hours don’t match the hours posted online (open till 4). Went across the street to Noe’s and they took care of me.

Called to see about gettin smog done here. Guy was absolutley rude! I asked if they did the «if it doesnt pass you dont pay thing» that i have heard about around the desert. He laughed arrogantly and said «i dont know how they can stay in business if they dont charge» an hung up on me. How un-​professional. Joke of a place glad i did not take my vehicle here, you should not either.

Getting ready to renew the registration on my Ford F-​150, I noticed that it needed a smog check. With only a couple of days left to renew, I had to act fast. I grabbed the Yellow Pages and found most smog check places are closed on Saturday. One has a big ad saying «No Appointment Necessary» so I called to find that they DO require appointments on Saturday and they were booked up. Liberty picked up the phone and said I could bring it right in.
Sure enough, I drove over, they ran it right onto the dynamometer and while I skimmed the newspaper they did the test. The truck passed with negative perspiration. Er – no sweat. It was quick and painless and the price came to $ 63 total including the certificate. Note that when some shops give you a quote on the price, they fail to mention the $ 8.25 DMV fee for the certificate. The guy running the shop does a professional job, and if you live anywhere around the Cathedral City area, they can do your smog for you. Oh – they are kind of hidden behind a shop that fronts on Ramon Road (Meineke’s, IIRC) so if you are eastbound you may miss them. You can see their sign easily enough, on the south side of Ramon if you are heading west.

Liberty always gets my business because… its always clean there. The gentleman who runs the testing center is professional and polite and gets the testing done quickly. We have two vehicles and I have gone to Liberty at least three or four times for testing. He is fast and modern and in a good location that is why I go back.
