This place rocks! Best ice cream in Maine! Get a three scoop, regular cone of vanilla, chocolate, and cookie dough. Heaven.

I was a camper at Camp Arcadia(up the road from Pear’s) starting in 1995 and have gone to Pear’s for many summers between then and now. The ice cream is incredible, and has only gotten better(more flavors!) over time. My most recent trip was a few weeks ago(July 2014) and was not disappointed. One day I got moose tracks ice cream and a roast beef panini(which is much lighter on the horseradish than the description implies, which was great! One of the employees also said this, and he was right.). Two days later I got a turkey panini and, once again, moose tracks. The line can be long and if there’s a family with indecisive kids it can take a while, but it’s 100% worth it.

My wife and daughter love this place, they were wanting summer to get here so we could enjoy it again… but today we built a snowman instead. But since I am new to Unilocal I want to review everything I go to around me :-)

OK, ice cream is ice cream, you can quote me on that, but the location in downtown Casco(not Casco Bay) Maine is what makes this place so «charming». It’s a two-bay garage converted. I don’t think they make their own ice cream. The annual Casco Day Parade goes right by here, grab a cone and enjoy life. BTW, a nearby horse farm has trial rides that stop off here for a snack. That’s an added treat for the kids.
