Chicken Express

I always eat at this location when I want some chicken express. It is very good, plus Alicia is a really great employee, she is very sweet and kind and gets the order right. The people their always seem so friendly and that gives the customers a good vibe, well, to me it does.

Mac & Cheese is bland it’s really gross at all the locations. Box mac & cheese taste better than this. But the rest of the food is pretty good. But great service

Love the food! Always have and always will! The reason for my ³⁄₅ stars is the portioning. Do NOT order the family sized mashed potatoes! They charge $ 4.29 for a portion that didn’t even satisfy two.

Stop by here because the facility is the closest place to where i get my car washed. The place is super clean bathrooms are clean dining room as well. We were greeted by what appeared to be the manager. The greet was just generic, nothing personalized. I overheard another manager/​employee, yelling at everyone but no one in particular… on why the trays were wet. I mean for the love of God and all that’s holy… why dont you pick up a towel and wipe it down yourself… I’m just saying.
Food is good, we ordered what they called a sweet deal $ 12.99 15 tenders that included gravy and 6 rolls… not a bad deal. If you check in on Unilocal you get $ 2 off on any meal deal, so that’s a plus.

Great service and food. You can get all chicken breast in a combo for no upcharge. Lots of sides. The gravy is a bit bland, but I load mine with pepper anyway. Rolls are great. The weekday lunch is not bad for $ 5.50, 3 tenders, side, roll, drink.

This location is very friendly! I messed up on telling them what I wanted, and they corrected it by giving me my original order and the order I wanted for no extra charge! I will be back!

I usually love Chicken Express, so I will most likely visit others. This location however is not great when it comes to getting orders right. On 3 separate occassions, I returned home with my order to find that something was missing from my order. I typically order a 7 piece express tenders meal and share with my daughter. This meal is 8.99 plus tax and with tax is around $ 10. Okay, so 7 tenders for 10 bucks isn’t that bad. BUT, when u are given 5 tenders instead it can make feel like you were ripped off, because I could have just as easily ordered a large pizza for the same. Now, this has has happened at least 3 other times and I let it go because I was just too tired to deal and I hoped that it wouldn’t happen again. So, this evening, I decided to call the store to let them know that they may want try double checking orders before they deliver them. I spoke to a man who said he was the manager and explained the matter. What was his reply? «Can you bring it back up here so we can see it?»… No apology, no thank you for letting me know or anything like that. I had mentioned to him that I was not asking for my money back or free food, I just want to let the manager know. His reply was, «can you hold on please.» I held for an extended time. When he came back to the line he said, «next time you come, bring ur receipt and we will give u two tenders». Still no apology or mention of their mistake. Sooooooooo, I wont be visiting this particular location again.

Normally my rating would be higher but today I was served old chicken that was lukewarm and stale. I understand a quick service restaurant cannot always cook to order but have some standards. If it comes out of the oil and sits, throw it away after a few minutes. I don’t think I will return.

Always great service and the food is always hot and fresh. I have never got bad service no matter what time of the day the service is always great and the food is on point.

Food was bland. Had chicken tenders, gravy & okra. All tasted the same & had no flavor. I thought for sure the gravy would have a smoky or meaty flavor, but it was tasteless mush. Wouldn’t get it again, would rather go farther for KFC.

The chicken is very good, which is why I keep going back. The sides have always been pretty decent, even though most of them are the standard fried fast food fare. The service, however, is ridiculously slow… considering how all the food is usually already cooked and sitting in holding, it takes them a long time to box it up.

Great chicken and the place looks great. I love all the new locations they are always well maintained and just look great. I can’t ever have enough of that Dublin Dr pepper or that sweet tea. I prefer a roll instead of a biscuit. The corn nuggets are one of my favorites. I love the 4 piece tenders because it always is served with more then 4 pieces.
The fried chicken plate is great you pick what piece you would like so you can go all breasts if that’s what makes you happy. I prefer a little breast and thigh so you can have a little of everything plus that roll with honey.

The catfish was salty and soggy, the mash potatoes has too much black pepper. The chicken is really good, chicken gizzards are good.

This place is pretty good. We had the chicken fingers, livers, and gizzards. Each box came with a roll and creamy gravy. I think they gave us a lot more pieces of livers and gizzards because the whole box was filled! Everything was good but we couldnt finish it because started getting tired of all the fried and grease. The rolls were delicious!
The fried pickles are SOOOOOOO salty! We only had 3 – 4 pieces each and threw the rest away. I wouldnt order these ever again.

First time to a Chicken Express and since this one is brand new I thought we’d give it a try. Simply over priced for a fast food chicken place $ 17 for 4 chicken strips and 5 lame little pieces of catfish along with 2 lame sides! Food quality was ok, what there was of it. Still looking for a good simple catfish dinner that serves catfish the size that the Shuck N Jive in Addison used to serve without the cigarette smoke of Shuck N Jive.

Chicken Express will easily become my favorite new fast food restaurant. I’ve had several people tell me how good they are, and believe it — it is!
I had the chicken finger combo with fries and a roll. The chicken fingers tasted so fresh and like others have said, they gave me more than the 4 pieces. The fries were crispy and the roll was glazed with honey or something sweet. It was delicious and well worth the $ 7. They give you so much, it can be made into 2 meals.
There are three ways to order your food: inside, by drive-​thru, and drive up «sonic» style.
I ate inside. They have free refills and the option of Dublin Dr. Pepper. I ordered at the counter and they brought my food out to me very quickly. I had just finished filling up my drink.
Overall, Chicken Express is definitely a must when choosing fast food. And definitely try the chicken tenders — they beat Canes hands down!

This Chicken Express location just opened in Carrollton, not far from my house. My fiancée loves it, so I thought I might check it out.
I went in, and ordered the chicken fingers combo. (I think it was a 4 piece combo or something… they gave me one piece extra – I think they do this for everyone.) I ordered it with mashed potatoes and gravy.
They were fresh and DELICIOUS. This is probably a horrible thing, as now I’m craving fried chicken that’s only a few minutes down the road… yikes!
Simply put, this Chicken Express location is a welcome addition to the Carrollton area, which certainly needs MANY more restaurants.

Went here the other day after work. I went through the drive through service. First window the guy says «I trade your car for your food» HAHA funny. not really.then he instructed me to drive forward to the stop sign. The girl who brought my food noticed my wallet and said «I like your hello kitty» THANKS!
I don’t know if you guys know this but chicken express service is like sonics. I wasn’t sure if I should tip the girl and I asked her. She said if you want. I responded «i’ll come back next time and give you something hello kitty»
LOL Don’t judge me.
The chicken was cooked to its FRIED-​ness and the sprinkle sauce that you have to ask for, was good all over it. YUM

Finally after 2 years of waiting we have more eating choices in this area and it just happens to be my favorite chicken.
Chicken Express is good, southern-​style chicken that is hand-​battered. They also serve fried catfish and the sides consist of fries, fried okra, fried pickles, mashed potatoes with cream gravy, corn nuggets and cole slaw. Dipping sauces are Buttermilk Ranch, Chipotle Ranch, BBQ, Honey Mustard, Honey and Buffalo.
You get plenty of food for the money here. The store is spacious and you receive your food fast.
I recommend this place over Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers any day. You get twice as much for here for the same price.
