Went to Pamfilios for the first time last night. Everybody was very friendly, the service was top notch. They were there when we needed them but didn’t hover. I really dig the atmosphere as its quiet, homey, yet upscale and classy. Had the Chciken Marsala and it was amazing. I was planning to take half of it home but ended up pondering if I could lick the plate without anybody seeing me! And it was great to see they had some great local beer on tap!

This is a nice neighborhood place with an upscale vibe. They also have a small amount of outdoor seating. Service was friendly and fast, although not as knowledgeable of the menu as I would have liked. Companion stated the filet of sole was excellent and was served with fresh sauteed spinach and capers. Pasta Sosa was very good, added olives which enhanced the flavor. Two fresh rolls with an excellent tapenade were served with the meals. The Italian Wedding Soup was also good, more like a homemade chicken soup with a meatball or two, but great flavor. Portions very generous. Only downside was a swarm of odd little fruit flies inside which attacked us while we ate. It was sort of bizarre. I assume it was sort of a freak occurrence so I’d go back and try it again.

I went here a few weeks ago with the boyfriend for a night out. The atmosphere was great. Low lighting, candles on the table, soft music playing in the background. As for the food, the boyfriend ordered the Chicken Parmesan while I ordered the Pasta Margarita that was on special. Both entrees came with a side salad that was quite delicious. We were both pleased with our entrees. Overall, I believe that we would visit this restaurant again.

Not Italian Not Good!!! Very inconsistent. Been here several times because it’s within walking distance of my house. I know people who love it and can’t understand why! Won’t go again. I grew up and am still in a very Italian household. So i’m biased to my own Italian food. But, the 1 time and I stress that 1 time I got decent food from Pamfillios was the only time. Server and service was great but food was less than marginal. The owner also had an attitude when I voiced my opinion. I will never set foot in there again. It is a winner by default. It has the whole Village of West Clay mesmerized!!! The Village needs to allow some competition. I probably would have given 3 stars, but the fact that the owner actually had an attitude with me stripped the other 2 away.

Nice little Italian spot nestled in the West Clay village. Outdoor dining is available, indoor seating is cozy and warm. Decent wine list, not very deep but adequate. Food was well prepared and the special of the night(veal stuffed with prosciutto, spinach and onions) was excellent. There isn’t much else out in this area of Carmel, so Pamfilios is like an oasis in the desert.
