This is a really nice coffee shop. Super comfortable and quiet for those trying to do some work. There is seating for any type of weather, from the inside next to the fireplace for those cold days, or outside on the balcony(with a nice view!) for the hot days. They are located on a church lot, but don’t let that deter you from checking it out. They have several types of drinks, some pastries, a few sandwiches, and some other things that I can’t remember off the top of my head. The few drinks I’ve had were pretty good, and I think the muffins are made daily. I’ll have to try the sandwiches or something next time. I recommend this place for meeting with friends, somewhere quiet to work, or even just to relax with a cup of coffee and take in the views from the many balconies.

The shop is located on a church campus! In case people are confused by the location. Lots of parking, which I love! Easy to find. Beautiful places to sit. Inside the coffee shop is homey with plenty of seating, and it also has a balcony upstairs with couches and umbrella tables– with an ocean view! I ordered an iced chai latte, it was average but I still enjoyed it. I visited on a Wednesday afternoon and it was empty!!! I got a lot of work and reading done. Music does play inside but it’s not obtrusive or loud! Overall I recommend. It seems to not ever be crowded! Very peaceful. *** pricing on the menu here is different than the pricing at the actual coffee shop. It’s a tad more expensive in reality.

So cozy, great baristas, and a friendly environment. I highly suggest this place if you’re looking to get work done and don’t want as many distractions as other local coffee houses.

Absolutely love this little hidden place. I work from home a lot and I started coming here on Thursdays for a new atmosphere. What a great, comfortable, quite place to work. The coffee and food is superb, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I love the non-profits the caffe supports. If you’re in the neighborhood and want a great cup of coffee, I highly recommend!

Wednesday afternoon and spending a nice relaxed moment at The Story. picked up a basic cup of joe, didn’t want anything sweet, and paid a modest $ 2, left a dollar tip because the barista was nice and cheerful. Spent about 30 min inside, nice decorations, a «christian» vibe exists here but it wasn’t oppressive. It may have been the day and time but the place was not crowded. Later I decided to move outside and I was glad I did, many places exist outside to relax and enjoy the weather. I have not tried much of the coffee and snack offerings but the prices are good.

Very charming coffee place! Nicely decorated, artsy and contemporary. Art on the walls and authentic merchandise for sale by the Charity Organization that they either sponsor or run, not sure. Either way, we had some coffee, bagels and oatmeal. All perfect! They even had soymilk which was an awesome plus! We bought some merchandise to support the cause but also because we really liked the things they were offering. Authentic purses, shawls etc. from Egypt! Would love to come back and check out the upper floor that has an ocean view!

Came here last month to get some pastries, coffee and get some work done but didn’t feel like going to a starbucks, so I came here. It’s a hidden gem! This place is much nicer and much more spacious and quieter than any Starbucks! The coffee and the baked goods are just as good, if not better. I may never step into another Starbucks now because of this place. The place is rustic, but very well decorated, the customer service is wonderful, lots of seating and a fireplace! It makes you feel like you’re in your own house, just with really nice people in it!

I made plans with a friend to meet up and just randomly picked this place. The name caught my interest as Caffe has two«F“s instead of one — random right? Finding the place was rather amusing. Though Google Maps — they direct you to make a U Turn after driving on Poinsetta Lane for a bit if you are coming off the 5 regardless if you are coming North or South. You go up on your right, not your left. I had no clue where I was going until I drove in to the right and just figured if this was not the right place, was not too bad to drive around. There was a lots of parking — so not hard to find some place to park your car. It was chilly outside when I got there — but the view was no joke. Of course I found that out later after we decided to wander around. We were both hungry when we got there so we divulged in the goodies that was being served. I liked this place as it was cozy, almost like a Starbucks and empty. Probably because I also went there on a weekday at a odd hour — around 1pm on a Tuesday. We had a lovely time, talking and catching up. Ordered a caffe latte, ham & swiss sandwich and a hot chocolate during my stay here. Ham & swiss was very filling! They were nice enough to include tomatoes and lettuce(? if I remember correctly). Caffe latte was nice enough to warm me up — plus they had sugar, honey at the side if you wanted to add anything else into your drink. Had the hot chocolate after we wandered around. We explored after a while and were amazed to find so much outdoor seating all around. They had cozy seats right outside and more on the 2nd floor. The view was nice to admire — but there’s a sign that asks you nicely to keep your voices down. You get to see the ocean as well as see what is around the area from high up. This place would probably be pretty popular during the summer if more people knew about it. Interestingly enough this was combined with North Coast Calvary Chapel in the same building. The entire building emitted a warm welcome and everyone was pretty nice — also allowing 2 girls to wander around with no problem! Noone seemed to mind us just touring the place by ourselves. We went back in for hot chocolate as we were cold after walking around. Got to be one of Lilly’s first customers for some artwork on my hot chocolate. I think it was a lion? But hey, it’s better than anything I could do! Would definitely be dropping by again hopefully when it’s warmer as this is quite the hidden gem hidden on the hills.

We must have come in on an «off» day because the service and quality did not match any of the other reviews. The place was completely empty, yet it took well over 30 minutes to receive our order of very simple sandwiches. Once we did get our food, one of them was not made to order and the other(meatball sub) contained cold meatballs. My suggestion to them would be to stick to your bread and butter which is coffee and tea beverages. skip the food offerings if you can’t deliver on quality when the place is absolutely dead. It’s a shame, because the location is beautiful and the ambience is very nice.

I almost hate to write this since more of you will come… and I probably should give five stars just for the«find» — new favorite go to coffee spot!!! setting and views are lovely, café is incredibly comfy cozy, staff is lovely and I bet if I ate something I would raise my review — it’s «tucked away» inside North Coast Calvary complex … Felt like I was at Lake Las Vegas Village or Italy! But with ocean views…

This is a very nice and quiet coffee shop and café located in the North Coast Calvary Chapel grounds. I can see have many will come back to this place, not just for its coffees, teas, and eats, but its peaceful and laid back atmosphere. When I stopped in, I was greeted with a comforting feel, a pretend fireplace, plush leather couches, and yes, free Wi-Fi. I was in the mood for some tea, so I ordered the Chamomile hot tea and a toasted and buttered everything bagel with a drizzle of honey which I applied. With out the cream cheese, I believe they charged me a couple of dollars. On the first attempt, the bagel was not toasted enough, so I asked the young lady to given another round and she happily did. On the second round the bagel came out a perfect gold brown. I would recommend that they served the butter at room temp because it was cold and difficult to spread onto the bagel even with a recently toasted bagel. Eventually, the butter did melt, which is always good, and after a drizzle of honey, I dug in. The buttered bagel proved to be quite good and was an excellent side kick to the hot Chamomile tea. The tea was from a tea bag, I don’t remember the brand but it was good. I do recommend they provide porcelain mugs for inside visits and such. The place has plenty of room for study groups or meet ups. They also display items from around the world for sell to raise money from what they call their«Trade Partners.» This groups are raising money to take care of themselves such as orphanages. A very cool endeavor indeed.

It’s a beautiful, breathe-taking place inside out. On an elevation next to a chapel. The café inside has an artsy, woodsy feel. Walk upstairs for a couple patios. The big patio(although I think it technically belongs to the chapel?) has a serene atmosphere, ocean view, a beautiful gazebo, great patio furnitures, plenty of outlets! Problem is the caffe WiFi doesn’t reach up here… Had to work down at the café which is fine but AC can get bit cold. On a Tuesday afternoon, there were little to few customers so it was very quiet. I saw flyers for Open Mic events, so I think it’ll get livelier sometimes. However, I found the coffee menu basic(I wasn’t looking for crazy frap but maybe something more complex like mexican mocha). They have a special pumpkin spice latte during my visit(October!), but based on my one experience, it tasted just okay and too sweet(–1 star). I might give it a 2nd chance if I’m in town. They do have a sizeable selection of food.

Beautiful café inside and out. I’ve tried a few coffee blends and the chai tea and I’m always pleased. The atmosphere can’t be beat; with ocean views from the upper balcony and changing art exhibits inside. There’s a lot to love here!

One of my most favorite discoveries just keeps getting better and better. Since the heat wave of So Cal 2015, this has been my favorite place to come to and do my work. I focus and grabbed my awesome blended chai with whip and sit at a table to work on my business. I finally had some food! You got to grab some delicious sandwiches when you get the chance! I’ve recently tried two sandwiches. First is the breakfast sandwich! I LOVEEVERYTHINGABOUTTHIS!!! Nice warm croissant with egg and sausage. A lot of places have a weird tasting sausage, but not The Story! The second sandwich is their Turkey sandwich. Complete with a lettuce, tomatoes, and red bell peppers… YAAASSSS!!!

Alright. I’ll let you in on my newest secret. The Story Caffe is the hidden gem coffee shop with lovely owners, delicious bites, high quality coffee, wifi… and air conditioning. How have I been beating the heat lately? This is the answer! It’s located inside the church complex but if you’re not the god-fearing type, don’t fret. It’s a pretty neutral environment for the most part. They’ve got a great lay out with couches, low tables, high tables, plenty of chairs. There is even a walk up window and a patio outside. They can’t advertise with signage so follow the Unilocal directions and when it puts you in the church parking lot: you’re in the right place! They have a yummy selection of baked goods(The coffee cake!!) brought in Fresh daily and they get freshly roasted beans delivered from a local guy. The staff is outgoing and friendly, and its a calm environment with a quiet relaxing vibe. The best thing about this place is of course it’s amazing legit coffee house status but furthermore — it’s a feel good situation for us all. The proceeds from sales go back into charities and support amazing stories. I took the most recent info about their process from their website — read below! How cool is that? The Current Story: INDIA The items featured are made by Indian widows and women from small villages who are trying to support themselves and their families. We are telling two stories about the women in India, and each one represents a different organization we partner with there. The first is called Sangita Charitable Trust. Sangita began as an orphanage in 1997 and has expanded into local villages to care for widows and the un or under-employed. On the grounds of Sangita orphanage, women come to learn a skill and the economics of small business. The second story is from White Rainbow in the North where there are several cities set up for widows to find sanctuary and to pray for many hours per day. At White Rainbow, a young Indian couple teaches some of the widows to create beautiful jewelry and tunics made from Sarees. They are so thankful for your interest and support of their efforts. I hope you stop by sometime to support this unique local business — if it’s over 75 degrees that’s where I’ll be!
