Quattra Via Aveda

I have never been in one of these salons before but the minute I walked in I felt a RUSH of energy. Normally that would be good but I though a salon/​spa was a quiet place and people go to relax. Yes hey we’re fairly busy at the counter but the manager or whomever was helping EVERYONE just kept saying the same thing over and over. Please be patient, I will help you when I’m done as she’s rushing back and forth from one person to another. She said she would be right with me but she was so busy that I picked out what I needed and waited at the counter to be rung up. I’m sure the manager is doing her job he best she can. But maybe take it down a couple decimeters.
I listen to the cost of one ladies hair cute $ 120…she had SHORT SHORT hair. all I have to say is WOW!!! I’m sticking to my quiet salon

Ask for KAY if youthful, radiant and glowing skin is what you desire! I’ve been getting facials from Kay for over 6 months now and she has really worked wonders with my skin. Kay is very gentile and informative. I love that she is invested in my skin care and results. I have sensitive skin so I’ve always been anxious to go anywhere but with my trust in Kay’s knowledge about the products she chooses to use on my face I don’t think I have anything to worry about. My skin has never looked better. Thank you Kay!

I’ve been to Quattra Via 3 or 4 times for pedicures but decided to treat myself and my husband to a facial. I can’t say enough about the experience. We were both treated so well and had one of the most relaxing spa experiences of our lives.
I need to add an extra note about Erika — my spa service provider. I’ve had her do my pedicure in the past and she’s always been very sweet and conversational — sharing details of her life without over sharing or being too talkative. Today she blew me away! She chatted with me briefly while I was feeling chatty as she started the facial. And then during the first mask I took a deep breath and was ready to relax and she was silent throughout the rest. Not that this isn’t done by other people, many spa experiences are quiet, but I mean so quiet and professional I actually fell asleep. She is truly a gem amongst an already stellar cast. I’ve never fallen asleep at a spa before… it was truly the best experience ever. If you want a truly special day, ask for Erika!

Went in for a pre formal hair do with Maddie and it was amazing. I got it curled and it looked beautiful. Stayed in the whole night and still looked great. The environment was very calming and the staff are super friendly. I got offered drinks when I first walked in and was taken care of straight away.

I live in SF but have started making a concerted effort to come to SD just so I can come to Quattra Via. The girls here are wonderful; if you are looking for color treatment and can get in with Brittany (she’s the owner) I HIGHLY recommend her! Also some great spa services, it’s amazing how much they’ve managed to do with the space. Would give it ten stars if I could!

I am reviewing Megan Stang! And I give nothing but 5 stars in every direction. I went in with a half inch of natural regrowth, highlights randomly throughout as well as copper lowlights and a warm color in between. Wanting to go lighter but keep some warmth Megan did a full head of highlights keeping to my request of wanting it brighter around my face. The color my blonde is is a perfect blend of soft and warm. The flow of the color is amazing and not streaky. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my blonde. Kudos to you Megan! If you don’t request her, your missing out ;)

APRIL, hair stylist from Quattra Via offered me a 10% reduction, if I wrote her a GOOD review in Unilocal,the first time she cut and highlighted my hair. I don’t blame her for seeking positive advertisement. But, what happened to professional integrity?
Unilocal protects the consumer.
If we allow ourselves to be seduced by reductions, all we accomplish is cheating ourselves from having good service. Impartial reviews benefit us.
My experience with April progressively worsened. Besides her subtle moodiness, there is impatience which affected the quality of her work with me. My first hair cut and highlights merit my compliments. However, In the many times we met throughout the past year, my highlights were poorly done. She did not attempt to remedy it.
My last hair cut and highlights with April brought me to the realization that when the ego gets in the way, good work suffers. It seems we misunderstood each other in regard to how short my hair should be. Her solution was to grab my hair in a bunch and cut the extra. Yes! «Did she really do that?» Went through my mind. Indeed! She did.
A professional would have taken the time to refine the hair cut to benefit the client. Because after all, that is all it is about– the hair cut. Not a battle of will.
For me it is not personal but rather it is about getting the best service I am paying for.
Would I recommend April in good conscience– no. Is her work terrible-​no. It is just inconsistent. It is up to You future clients to make an educated decision with my remarks and those of others.

Amazing service, amazing girls! Just came in for a trim and received stellar service from Megan! She was attentive and knew exactly what I was looking for. We even talked future styles and she reassured me that if I ever decide to chop my locks, she’d take great care of me. Can’t wait to come back!

I don’t really do much with my hair so I splurge when I actually do something with it. This is worth every penny. The atmosphere is very relaxing and upscale. While you wait, you are given a complimentary drink of your choice and you can choose the essential oil you want for your towel later on in the service.
I went to Taryn for my hair cut and grey balayage. I couldn’t be happier with the result! Seriously, if you’re looking to color your hair, go to Taryn. My hair is so soft and beautiful and she even processed it in a way that would make the color last as long as possible. Love it!

Traveling for a wedding. They got me in for an appointment in the 15 minutes it took me to get there. Great atmosphere Stylist was Aubrey, did a fab job on my hair. Made me realize I need to find a better stylist back home. Told her what I wanted and explained what she would do to make it happen. Thank you!

I went to this salon because it was near my hotel and my cousin had a good experience there the day before. My stylist, Sierra, was really nice and gentle on my sunburnt scalp. She cut off a more than we discussed so I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 but honestly it looks great and I would go back there. I definitely still recommend her. Also, all of their products smell amazing, but I expect that from any Aveda salon.

GREAT SALON! Wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff! Since I am only here for a few months, I was a hoping to find an Aveda Salon that would work for me. Quattra Via MORE than met that need for me.
Before I say anything else about this salon, first I have to say that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Master Beauty Artist/​Stylist APRIL! She is an OUTSTANDING STYLIST! I have crazy hair and it had not been cut in over 8 months. Needless to say it required someone with VISION and SKILLS to bring my hair back! April worked her magic and outstanding talent and I absolutely love my new style!!! Oh, and don’t get me started about the scalp, neck and shoulder massage! I was so tense going in, but April’s calm and friendly personality had me instantly relaxed.
Additionally, I had a waxing service with SIERRA and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND her as well. Sierra had a gentle touch, and was very meticulous ensuring that there was not a stray hair left unaccounted for.
The salon has a wonderful relaxing atmosphere and the facility was clean and fresh looking. Having been an Aveda salon devotee for years now, I have a certain expectation of any Aveda salon I walk in to. Quattra Via hit that expectation and then some. Well done ladies!

After some horrible previous hair color experience done from a hairstylist outside of this salon, I made an appointment for my first time o Quatrain Via Aveda! I loved the feeling of being in the salon as soon as I walked in. My hairstylist Caitlin gave me a welcoming tour and she was amazing! Friendly and very professional! I couldn’t been any happier with the whole experience not to mention the Aveda products that are great!
I enjoyed the salon and staff members were very nice!
My hair color looks great and I’m looking forwards returning to the salon! I recommend Caitlin who is very attentive and did a great job!

I had a fantastic Massage and Chakra Balancing session with Sarah. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. It exceeded all my expectations. I’ve already booked my next appointment!

I absolutely loved this salon the moment I walked in. Very upscale and welcoming. Complementary beverage upon arrival. I came here for a pedicure. There were 2 stations which I loved that it wasn’t a mass area like other cheaper salons. I also came here because they use Aveda products which are natural and not chemical filled. I am sensitive to chemicals and anytime I even walk by a cheap nail salon the smell of the nail lacquer and other chemicals coming out the door just kills me and I tend to walk away with an irritated throat.
The girl who did my nails did a fabulous job, however one nail was filed down too much and some skin was irritated on my toe the next day. It was an honest mistake. I contacted the salon and they were very nice to refund my money. That alone shows that they are not just in it for the money and that they are all about their customers. I will most definitely come back.

I’m a big fan of Aveda products and actually drive past another Aveda salon to go to this one because it is so much nicer. I’ve had pedicures, massages and my hair done here. While everything has been good, the massages are what Id come back for.
The experience seems to be as good or bad as the front desk. Sometimes they seem too busy to help you and other times they are more than welcoming. Unfortunately there is sometimes a little snobby vibe going on upfront and that is why I’m not giving a full 5 stars.
The massage rooms are very nice. The even have headphones for during the massage now that help you completely tune out the world. They use aromatherapy an let you customized to your scent preference and every massage therapist I’ve had has listened to my concerns and ensured I’ve had a great experience.
One of my favorite things is starting or ending with Aveda’s hot tea. It always makes it feel like a special treat.

Quattra Via is definitely in a different class than your typical hair salon. The first clue should be the fact that you’re greeted (typically by name after your first couple visits) when you walk in and offered a flat or sparkling water. Then you’re taken over to their semiprivate waiting area with big plush white chairs and magazines to pass the time.
I have been going to April for several months now and she is fantastic! Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and just an all around fun person! A mens cut typically includes the cut (obviously), wash, hydrating facial mask, head massage and style. If you want the VIP treatment, Quattra Via is the place to go.

I have been a brunette for many years, and I have always been a bit afraid of getting lighter and brighter.
I did my research for 3 months, from talking to friends to googling my little heart out, some information I found was amazing while other truly horrifying… But then… I found (drum rolllllll) April at Quattra Via Aveda in Carlsbad. Her reviews were what I was looking for and she exceeded my expectations, my very high expectations.
THE VENUE:
From the moment I entered Quattra Via it was instant relaxation, the place is welcoming, the staff very friendly and professional and the Aveda scents are just divine!
THE ARTIST:
APRIL, her energy is wonderfully positive and her passion for what she does is palpable! We got to know each other, the wants the concerns the vision and the final product! April asked questions and actively listened to the answers, she also explained every step of the process, it was very instructive and mesmerizing to see her taking me from dark almost black brown, to a very vibrant red…
The best part, NO DAMAGE to my hair!
The even better part, the head and shoulder massage will make you melt.
THE GROUPIE: I am still in awe on how she did it, I got so many compliments already. April understood 100% what I wanted. A true artist, I feel she goes above and beyond to make sure you leave happy!
… Oh yeah and she is a fellow Pisces… Bonus points: P

This isn’t the hair salon that I normally go to… I get my cuts and color done somewhere else, just because I already have a hairdresser that I’ve been going to for awhile and love.
But in between those appointments, I come to Quattra Via Aveda, just because they’ve been able to get me in on pretty short notice for quick bang trims, and hair styling and makeup application for special occasions. They’ve gotten me all dolled up for dance show performances! I’ve been happy with how they’ve styled me.
It’s a really nice salon. Upscale, with a zen atmosphere. The whole experience is designed to relax you. You’ll get taken care of with a refreshing beverage of your choice, and you can sit and enjoy it in the quiet lounge area where there’s music that sounds like what they play in yoga class and slideshows of nature photography on a projector screen.

I had been gifted a Spawish giftcard and with the great reviews on Unilocal about Quattra Via Aveda, my friend and I decided to treat ourselves with a spa day! We scheduled for one of us to have a one-​hour massage and the other for a one-​hour body treatment and then both of us to get mani-​pedis. My friend called to confirm and make the appointments and with the many services that Quattra Via Aveda had to offer we had some questions, however the girls that answered the phone were not exactly the most helpful in answering our questions regarding our services, which was a bit frustrating as it was our first time coming to this spa.
But this outstanding review is for Sarah B. who gave me the body treatment and mani pedi. Our appointment was scheduled at 2PM, but we weren’t picked up from the relaxation lounge area for our consultations and treatments until 2:20PM, which was odd but the complimentary drinks helped smooth that over. The receptionists that booked us for our appointments had not surprisingly mis-​booked the type of body treatment that I had inquired about, but Sarah B. seemed to read my mind and she had prepared the correct one for me rather than the one listed on my scheduled appointment, which was so amazingly thoughtful!
I received the Caribbean Sugar Scrub, and Sarah first explained the process with me first and answered any questions that I had. She then gave me ample time to get ready and lay down on the massage table to begin my scrub. After the initial scrub she left the room so I could go take a nice shower to wash off the scrub, and it was so nice to have Aveda hair products and body wash to use during the shower! After the shower Sarah came back in and the true relaxation began with a short massage and oil treatment. I was so comfortable throughout the whole experience with the soft spa music and synced vibrating table.
After my body treatment Sarah met me outside in another lounge area with a glass of white wine and water to walk me over to the mani pedi area. My friend miraculously finished her treatment at the same time and we were escorted over to the mani pedi area together. The mani pedi experience was also super relaxing and they had a nice selection of regular polish and Shellac Gel polish. I particularly loved the plush armchairs we sat on for the pedicures.
Although the appointment started off to a rough start, it ultimately ended on a perfect note, and tip for first timers there is $ 15 off your first service at this salon/​spa! I would definitely come again and request Sarah B for my treatments!
