Just had my first appointment. Color and trim. It is always a bit scary to go to a new stylist for color. it usually takes a few times to get it right. Parisa looked at my hair and did her thing! She has an amazing eye for color. She nailed it on the first try. My cut was just as professional The head massage after rinse was so relaxing.
The salon is clean, low key and relaxed. Parisa is super nice and easy going.

Parisa always does a superb job on my hair. All the compliments I get on my hair are another testimony to her well-​honed skills and the technique she uses to cut my hair.
I’m very particular about my hair and I change my mind a lot. Despite it all, Parisa manages to keep pleasantly surprising me finding the right balance between my crazy ideas and keeping my hair healthy.
She is a very versatile hair artist (I say artist, because she’s truly amazing), I had her do ombré for me and now I’ve gone to the dark side (I’m a newly minted brunette). Both times, I was impressed with a quality of her work.
Not only Parisa is great at what she’s doing, she’s a very personable conversationalist.
I would highly recommend her to anyone.

So this review is wayyyy overdue! I never post reviews but this place is just so awesome so I had to! Everyone is so friendly, the energy inside the salon is so positive and relaxing I was honestly very happy to be there. Jasmine lightened my hair and gave me a trim that looks absolutely fantastic. She’s such a sweet person, I felt comfortable as soon as she greeted me. This place is awesome and I highly recommend it!

I haven’t changed my hair in 10 years, I accidentally stumbled upon Jasmine and her awesomeness. She has so many ideas and I let her perform her magic on me and she transformed my old dated look into this gorgeousness! Tip: let her be creative, you will not be sorry. Salon is also so warm and welcoming.

I recently came to the salon for my first service. From the moment I walked in, I was instantly taken in by the wonderful vibe and friendly faces. I was warmly greeted and offered refreshments. I got my eyebrows done and was beyond impressed with Parisa’s threading. My skin is very sensitive and is easily irritated, especially by wax. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded consistently for about 5 years now and I have honestly never had someone perform such a gentle, well done, thorough, and lasting job as Parisa did! I had been growing them out for a while after a botched job at another salon so they were a bit beastly, but Parisa took her time and succeeded in skillfully and artfully shaping up my brows while keeping their natural fullness and arch. The threading service is more expensive here than other salons that I’ve gone to, but in my opinion, it is well worth it for the personalized experience. Also I’m going on week 3, and the hair is just now starting to grow back. In all of my other threading experiences, I would have been in major need to go back for a clean up last week at the latest because of a quick «cookie cutter» threading job. Don’t have that problem anymore. I will gladly keep coming back to Parisa for quality and the enjoyable energy of her salon.

I haven’t had a haircut that I’ve loved for a very long time. Made an appointment with Parisa for the first time today and got everything I wanted in a cut and color. Parisa is awesome, I showed her a picture of the color and the haircut I wanted and she matched it perfectly! The salon is very nice and Parisa and her staff are very friendly. They also have a 20% off deal for your first visit so if you don’t meet the $ 80 minimum purchase for the Unilocal coupon, you’ll still get a good deal. If you don’t have a designated hair salon already, you should definitely give this one a try.

this salons is AMAZING: lovely, calm, quaint. in short, perfect. parisa is so gracious and everyone in the salon makes you feel like you are completely at home. (i was soooo fortunate to be referred to parisa through a friend a few years ago, before she opened this salon.) both your hair and your whole being are in the very best care. you walk out through the front door, you feel like a fairy godmother has imbued you with pixie dust…

My haircut was fantastic!!! Due to the fact that my hair is so thick and my head is shaped like a giant coconut many people have trouble with my hair. I had never really been satisfied with haircuts that I had got in the past but Jasmine did an amazing job. Plus the shampoo/​head massage made me feel amazing all day! She is great with men’s hair. She also consulted with the great Parisa herself on how to best handle my obnoxiously thick horse hair. I felt special. I will be going there from now on.

Parisa is the eyebrow threading guru!!! She takes her time to perfect your eyebrows. She’s precise and shapes your eyebrows beautifully. I’ve been going to her for many years! The employees at the salon are super friendly!!!

Parisa has been cutting my husbands hair for years now. She is the only one who can get it right. Over the years I have met other women who saw Parisa at Moda and they loved her. I decided to make the switch about a year ago and I’m so glad I did. She is excellent with cut and color. I’m always super happy with my hair every time I leave. She is a master with eyebrow threading. Her shampoos and scalp massages are blissful. I’m in love with her new salon. She took lots of time with the design to get it right and it shows. It’s a great location where you get lots of fresh air and can treat yourself to lunch afterwards! The salon is always super clean, fun, and relaxing at the same time. Thanks Parisa for making this tired mama always feel her best.

As promised, here’s me review on this beauty salon where I have already planted my flag on.
I’ve been putting it off because I was hoping Unilocal would update their app that allows reviewers to give 11 stars or maybe a GOLD star award for exceptional services!
So my background – I HAD virgin hair and the only drastic change I have ever done was cutting it from my long mermaid to a bob. I finally decided to do something really crazy (I think I’m on a quarter life crisis) and started looking up for salons. I’ve always been a salon-​hopper and just go wherever it’s convenient. I live in National City and since I knew Jasmine (family friend) and I knew what her artistic mind AND hands are capable of, I decided to drive all the way to Carlsbad to go try out Parisa’s salon.
My experience – as soon I stepped in this cozy salon, all my skepticism has left my system! It was super homey and the people are very pleasant. Especially Parisa, who is a real sweetheart. Who after 7 hours of hard work on my thick hair. Still managed to joke around and DANCE to the music! (When other owners would’ve already been grumpy). Did I mention she fed me and made me coffee? Yup. I told her with that skinny body, i think her food is not making her body fat but her heart.
But the person behind my awesome hairdo is JASMINE. I am so grateful that she was so brave to take on this quarter life adventure with me! With only a few years of experience, I can say she was able to meet my expectations. But 10 stars on her massage! (Which literally was my favorite part). Although it took a lot longer than I expected, it’s the quality of the service that made it all worth it.
(**make sure to ask Jasmine to sing for you while she’s doing your hair. She has a great voice!)

I have been going to Parisa for 4 years now and I love the way she colors my hair. I have very long hair and she does an amazing job. She also does the best eye brow threading! I would highly recommend Parisa to anyone. One of the sweetest people I have ever meet and best thing now is I can just walk down the street from my house to see her!

I went to Parisa for the first time this past week.
Reason:
I had an appointment with jasmine, who I have been seeing for the past 2 years and followed her to Parisa. She has ultimately become my psychiatrist since we’ve met. When I see her she basically listens to everything I have going on.
The place:
Parisa is a very nice, quaint salon. Incredibly comfortable. When you walk in they have a very nice waiting area and offer you a beverage (coffee, water). The layout of the salon was very clean and organized as well.
The cut:
Well I’ve been seeing jasmine for over 2 years now so I am probably biased on this. But it should say something about the people working there. I usually get a shampoo/​scalp massage before my hair cut and honestly jasmine puts me to sleep every time. Then there is the actual haircut, she has become really talented with her sheers! I really enjoy that she uses scissors to cut my hair and not a razor like other places that I’ve been to like supercuts.
Complaint:
The only negative point I can make is towards the fact that I wish my haircuts took longer. I’ll definitely be back

Parisa always does an amazing job with her lovely smile. The service is alway great and I always walk out of there happy. The people are friendly and always do what ever they can to make your experience great.
The salon is always clean and organized!

I have been going to Parisa for six years now. I have got a LOT of hair and it’s very long to top it off. She cuts and highlights my hair and it is perfect. She does a flawless job. I constantly have people asking me who colors my hair. I’ve referred several people to Parisa and no one has ever been disappointed. On top of this all– Parisa has become my friend. She is one of the sweetest and funniest people I know. I am so glad she opened her new shop. If you are considering a new hair stylist Parisa is your gal. I don’t know what I’ll do if she ever stops doing hair!!! :)
