Can you imagine going through Summer without A/​C? I was about to experience just that. The days were heating up and I needed A/​C fast! The only problem was the cost. Most shops in North County San Diego were way over my budget. Then I called Kevin, On-​Call Mechanic. He was courteous and came to my house to repair the A/​C in my Ford Expedition, and at a fraction of cost I was quoted by local auto shops.
Thank you Kevin for saving my Summer and helping me enjoy the hot days in the cool of my now air conditioned car.

While he was able to fix a fairly simple mechanical issue one issue lead to electrical issues in the car’s interior that he was not able to diagnose very well. He did put a lot of effort into resolving things but I feel that he didn’t have the skills necessary to really address the problems efficiently which resulted in delays and un-​needed part replacement and associated charges,
The worst was one the way the car was returned. One repair seems to have resulted in leaving the window off it’s track and was fixed by another mechanic afterwards. A window switch replacement job left the switch hanging out of the door panel. The car was returned with ordor and grime on the interior, cigarette burns on the seats and ¾ of a tank of gas gone as well as other issues.

Kevin swung by late in the afternoon to troubleshoot an ignition problem with my 2005 Chevy Silverado. After eliminating the starter, solenoid, battery, etc. he was able to locate a loose wiring harness inside the steering column. A quick zip tie and the problem was solved. Great work by Kevin and I would highly recommend him to anyone else. I’m sure you saved me tons with tow & shops fees, etc. Thanks Kevin, great work!

Yesterday we went to look at a used car for my son. I called Kevin and asked if he could come do a pre purchase inspection for us. He was so nice to come out with very short notice. He did an amazingly thorough job! He inspected every single bit of that car and came back with a list of issues, and gave us a run down on all of the problems with the car. There were A LOT of problems! Thanks to Kevin we did not buy that car! I would absolutely recommend Kevin to everyone! We will not be buying my son a car without a pre purchase inspection, so Kevin is our go to guy until we do find a reliable car! Thanks so much Kevin!!!

I found Kevin through a reference after a tricky problem developed with my Pilot. He seemed to understand the problem based on his prior experience with Hondas. He gave me a reasonable estimate and a schedule, and sure enough he was able to fix the problem on time and within budget — based on the improved performance since then, he did a great job! Because he is mobile, I didn’t need to drop off or pick up the vehicle, or take time off… I recommend him HIGHLY

I called On-​Call Mechanic yesterday (8÷7÷2013) because my ignition would not turn. Kevin told me he could be there in about an hour, he was! Great responds time, I was stuck at my office and no clue what to do.
He took a look at the issue and noticed the the tumbler was stuck, him and is employee went to work. After about 2 hours of tough work they were able to get me car to start up… Thank God! I need my car to go to my appointments. As far as the cost it was very fair and considerablely lower then getting it towed to a mechanic and paying for the repair.

Had a couple of issues with my Lexus, I called up Kevin with On-​Call to get a estimate for repairs. He was able to meet at my place of business check out my concerns and provide an estimate for repairs. Next day we scheduled repairs and he took care of the rest. Also, it didn’t cost me an arm a leg. The following week we took our car on a road trip and made it back without an car problems. Now we will be using Kevin on my wife’s car as well.
