Chrystal is AMAZING! As is the whole shop. They are usually so busy because they are so good so I try to call ahead and schedule for regular services, but this last week suddenly realized I was due for an oil change and we were leaving on a road trip the following Thursday. I panicked and called asking if there was anyway to work us in and of course she was very happy to do so! I’m so grateful as I know she has a full shop of cars waiting for her everyday and since moving here last summer we are so happy to have found a shop we can trust with our two Hondas and a Toyota. Excellent service, care and prices! THANK YOU CHRYSTAL!

Legends Auto is simply the best place I have ever taken my car. The folks are very professional and friendly. I appreciate the communication that Crystal provides on diagnostics information and pricing. She tells you exactly what to expect on your visit. I had to have my car towed in for a dead battery and a couple of other issues and Crystal let me know what she was going to do and approximately how long it would take. There were NO surprises or miscommunications that often happen at those OTHER BIG car dealerships. I am extremely happy with Legends service and plan to bring my car here as needed for the foreseeable future!

She also gave me helpful information and recommendations as to where to get an alignment and the best way to go about leasing a car. She is an expert in her field and so kind to share information. I’ve been bringing my Infiniti QX4 to Legends for over 3 years. The first time, my car was sluggish starting up and I just knew I would need a new battery. I called in a bit of a tizzy because I was getting ready to take off the next morning for a road trip. They were very busy, but Crystal had me park out front, she tested the battery and installed a new one right then and there. AWESOME! Every experience with these folks has been as wonderful as can be (when you have a broken car, anyway). Highly recommended!

When my husband and I moved to north county 3 years ago, we searched for a reputable auto repair shop. As a former mechanic myself, I am pretty picky about where to have my vehicle repaired and Legends is THE PLACE to go if you need work done on your Lexus. I brought my 1999 GS300 with an acceleration problem I could not diagnose without the proper equipment. Right from the initial phone call they were polite, professional and knowledgeable. They replaced the faulty module in a timely manner and their prices were VERY reasonable. This is the only place my Lexus will visit for all future repairs. Thanks for your GREAT service.

The Best! As a Husband and Wife team, with a great background… Caesar handles repairs and Crystals handles the front desk and phones… and much much more! I have never been this comfortable with an Auto Repair shop in my entire adult life and I am no spring chicken, so that is a very long time, LOL!
The 1^st time I brought my newly purchased older Infiniti FX in, the brakes were squealing and I assumed I needed new brakes. Crystal told me my brakes were fine and coupled with the ocean air in coastal Carlsbad and the after market brakes on my car, that was actually quite normal! I asked if she could have Caesar take care of a nail in my tire, and she said“Oh we already took care of that”…(Wow, how did he even spot i?)
I think it was the 1^st 2 visits that made me fall in love with these 2… my bill was $ 00. I have been back several times since and always feel I get an accurate diagnosis and fair pricing and over the top service.
They bring their dog «Tonka» to work with them, and he is a joy to behold!

Imagine an auto repair business based on knowledge, honesty and fairness. I don’t Unilocal much but Legends Auto is a rare business in a sea of scams and inefficiency. The owners are smart enough to realize if you treat customers honestly and fairly, you will have a strong base of repeat customers and referrals. Crystal and Cesar do quality work at a fair price. I’d send my mom here.

I have been getting all of my cars maintained and repaired here for several years. Always honest and proactive about long term plans to keep the large repair costs down. I highly recommend them if you want a very knowledgeable team!

I am thrilled that I found Legends Auto. This is a great shop, run by great people, who do great work for a reasonable price. I am NEVER going back the the dealer again. In Carlsbad, I think the dealer has stupid high rates to pay for their new shinny building.
Crystal walked me through a major issue with my car. She showed me the problem, reviewed all my options, ordered all the needed parts then performed a great repair. I even offered to pay for the parts she needed to order, but she refused to take my money until the job was complete.

Best auto repair shop I’ve ever used. I first referred my brother to Legends Auto when he was visiting and complained that the brakes on his Toyota truck were shuddering going downhill. I was purely going on Unilocal reviews. He was really pleased with the repair and how great Crystal was to work with.
When my Acura TL developed the same brake symptoms and I needed an oil change, I tried Legends Auto for myself. I also had a great experience. What i learned was that Crystal and her husband own the business, and are both very knowledgeable mechanics. They also have an employee. They have a huge advantage because they are located on Auto Row in Carlsbad — they have good relationships with the various dealers and can get parts quickly. Add to this that Crystal is smart and personable, she keeps you appraised as things are moving along, and she and her husband live, eat, and breath cars, it’s no wonder why everyone loves them.

These guys are life savers! We were about 1000 miles from home when the radiator overheated in our 98 Acura. Despite my increasing panic, we managed to figure out how to add enough water and coolant to make it back to our hotel (having conveniently broken down in the parking lot of a CVS 4 miles from where we were staying).
But what to do now??? I started searching for help – totally vulnerable and unfamiliar with the area, much less services here– and found this place on Unilocal. (Our hearty thanks to all of you who offered your experiences and reviews.) We called first thing the next morning, and as everyone else has mentioned, Crystal was just great! She said to bring it in. Halfway there, the engine temperature indicator jumped to hot and we could hear the liquids boiling as we limped into their parking lot.
This was a Friday, and I needed to be in Poway the next day for a speaking engagement, so we had to leave the car over the weekend, but Crystal– part mechanic, part psychiatrist– talked me off the ledge and walked me over to the Enterprise Rental next door, where they set me up with a great rate for as long as we needed their car. We headed off to my job with the feeling that our car was in good hands. We knew what they were going to do and that she would be in touch later that day to give us a clear update on what was going on and what our options were– which she did. She was very clear, very straightforward, and very reassuring.
When we picked up the car on Monday morning, the radiator had been replaced (which was not unreasonable for a 15-​year-​old car with 112k miles on it), the car test-​driven, and a fairly extensive set of diagnostics run on the engine.
I would not wish a breakdown on anyone, especially one that happens so far from home. But if it ever happens, I would wish for the competence and people skills we encountered here. From everything we can tell from this past week’s driving, they did a fantastic job. The fact that it was such a pleasure dealing with them is an added bonus. Again, thanks for the reviews, as we add our most sincere recommendation to this stellar list.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Crystal at Legends Auto!
First off her customer service and friendly attitude is a breath of fresh air when it comes to dealing with a mechanics shop. Their prices are EXTREMELY reasonable compared to what a dealership would charge you. Even if the prices were the same I’d still choose to come to this shop above any I’ve been to so far here in O-​Side/​Carlsbad.
I’d highly recommend this place to anyone here in the area!
