Excellent customer service, quality work at a fair price. My 1^st visit here to have some minor preventative repair/​maintenance work done on 18 year old BMW 528i. Great experience in every way, will be back here for future work — 2 thumbs up!

Maintaining a BMW after warranty expires can be painfully expensive and being a single woman I always worry about getting ripped off, not with this business!

I called them on a Wednesday and booked a time for my mercedez repair on Thursday. I told the woman who took my call that I have a trip planned for Friday. She assured me that the car will be ready within 4 hours on Thursday.
My husband went to drop the car during his lunch break. There was some guy Chris who said there’s no way the car can be collected in 4 hours. I called him up and said that I had a booking and that the woman confirmed that the car will be ready on Thursday. Interestingly, he said the nature of their business is such that they can’t keep their commitment???
Not only he refused to deliver the car on the same day, he was extremely rude.
I’m 100% convinced that any 5 star they may have in the past, has been bought.
Giving them one star is way too generous.

Wanted to share my great experience. Found out my starter died after stopping at the outlets in Carlsbad on the way up to LA for a meeting I had. Got towed into these guys and I told them my situation and how I had to leave within 2 hours to get to my appointment. They said the install usually takes 2.5 hrs and said they would see what they could do. They stopped working on another car and went all hands on deck for my 3 series and replaced the starter in under 2 hours and a reasonable price and got me on my way. Meanwhile I was just relaxing on their comfortable couch watching TV.
You never know what you are going to get hosed in those situations but these guys were accommodating and are legit.

I keep going back, and they keep being super cool with me and my car. Not over charging, even offering little freebies, and always with a great attitude and professionalism. Thank you!!!

Taking your car in for repairs is like going to the dentist. It usually costs more than you think, it is very painful and they always find more problems than you went in for. Also it is near impossible to find someone that you trust. I took my car to Carlsbad Exclusive and have never been happier. They went above and beyond to make sure that i received honest and friendly service. It was less than i expected and pain free. I have finally found an auto repair shop that i can trust. I had a preowned 7 series BMW that I received an insanely high quote at a dealer to repair a malfunctioning steering column. Ryan and his team took care of me quickly and fairly with white glove attention. This started a long relationship Ryan and CEA. He did work on the BMW and then a 320 Mercedes I also owned. I have introduced him to friends and family over the years, which he made us all customers for life. Thank you Carlsbad Exclusive for being great at what you do.

Cant really say enough good things about this place. They are fair, honest and priced reasonably. I’ve worked with Chris on a couple issues with my Mercedes and he’s always looking out for the customer.

I’ve been here a few times to service my somewhat fussy Audi — and every time I’ve had a great experience.
First and foremost, it’s family-​run business which is refreshing. Christina and Chris run the office and their dad, Tom, willd drop you off if you need to be somewhere locally while your car is being repaired. That’s awesome.
Upon arrival, you’ll sit with Christina and she’ll help to write up the service request and talk through any issues you’ve been experiencing with your car.
Your car is then taken back to be looked at and Chris calls you before making any repairs to talk through what is needed. He’s very honest and upfront about costs, and letting you know if the repair is truly something of concern or not. If you don’t want something done — let him know and that’s the end of it. I haven’t had to deal with too many other repair shops, but from what I’ve read from other reviews and believe to be true is that they definitely offer very fair pricing for their work.
The couple times I’ve picked up my car after being serviced here, the car was spotless! They bring the car to be detailed before you pick it up for any non-​standard servicing. What’s more is that they’ve followed up after each visit with a mailed thank you note. It’s the small things that don’t necessarily happen these days that make a difference.
I’ll continue to come here because of the friendly service, honest approach to repairs needed, and the quality of work.

I just had my ’76 Mercedes fixed here. From start to finish, Chris was on top of everything. He called me daily to inform me of any progress, delays or news in regards to my repair. The cost was right considering the vehicle and is age, and they were quick with the service. Best of all, the car looked brand new again after they detailed before they gave it back to me. First class service all the way around.

I went by these guys today to have a bulb replaced. The charge should have been $ 30, but they did it gratis. Wow! Hard to believe they could be so generous. I’m going to bring my car back to them the next time it needs service. These guys are outstanding!!!

Carlsbad Exclusive was GREAT! As a former car builder /​mechanic myself I am pretty choosy about who I will let work on my vehicles. I contacted and visited several shops in the Carlsbad /​Encinitas area and the folks at Carlsbad Exclusive seemed to be the most knowledgeable and professional. I needed specific service performed on my 2007 MB S65. They were able to do the work for 2/3’s the price of the dealership. They inspected the vehicle while it was there and did not recommend any unreasonable repairs or service. I never felt like they were trying to make an extra buck off me while my car was there. My hats off to the entire staff. It’s nice to have a place I can trust.

I’ve been going to Carlsbad Exclusive Auto for the last two years and they are the only shop that I trust to work on my Audi. I’ve always done all of my own repairs on my cars since it is so hard to find a shop or mechanics that are truly experienced and trustworthy. Even when you go to the dealership you never know what kind of service you are going to get. I have just had too many bad experiences when my cars are in other peoples hands to count to just trust anybody to work on my car. That is why I am glad I found these guys. My car is a 2003 model, so it has had it’s fair share of trips to the shop and generally I already know what is wrong with it before I get there. So when they diagnose my car I know that they are being totally honest and not trying to rip me off by making up additional problems or recommending anything extra that might not be necessary to jack up the price on me. The pricing is very competitive for a German repair shop. The staff is very friendly and personable. They are very thorough in explaining things to you before and after the repair job as well. There have been a couple times that I have had to take my car back when a gasket didn’t seat right and there was oil still leaking, but since I know by doing my own work on cars that this happens sometimes on complicated jobs I wasn’t too upset and they were glad to take responsibility and make it right without charging me anything extra. Since I’m on a very limited budget it is nice to have a solid reputable place to take my «old» car to so it stays running like new. When I brought them my car it had a list of issues that needed addressed and now me and my car are much, much happier.

This place is great, and I highly recommend if you have a German car. I used to go to an «all German» shop in Escondido that does great work as well, but far more expensive.
The staff is really good, and service is fantastic.
I have a BMW X5 and repairs are expensive. Carlsbad Exclusive Auto did my repairs for ½ of what I was quoted everywhere else. The used genuine BMW parts, and fluids. They even credited me for a rental too.
Glad I found them, and they will be seeing me again!

This place is fantastic. Went first to Porsche dealer which wanted to price gauge me for a routine service. This is fairly expected from Porsche. However, I found them on Unilocal and got my better service at a much better price. Will continue to come here for my car service needs.

I took my 2007 MB 350 M class to Carlsbad Exclusive Auto on Wednesday, day before Thanksgiving at 10 am. I was with my 8 year old daughter. They gave me a quick estimate to fix the problem and gave us a ride to Lego land. Around 3pm they called to say the car was ready. I picket it up and it was not only fixed but they had washed it. I always felt luxury is in the details.
Great place, amazing people, incredible service.

I am so happy we found Carlsbad Exclusive Auto. I won’t let anyone else touch our Mercedes. Everyone from the Reception to the Techs have been a pleasure to do business with. We trust that when they recommend something, it truly is required. We have had bad experiences with European Auto Repair Shops in the past, and after we moved away from Ventura, we felt we would never find another shop like our beloved, but Carlsbad Exclusive Auto has filled that place in our needs.
