Everyone here is so professional and welcoming. It is a fun environment. The salon is beautiful inside. i just moved to the village and I am so glad this place is just right around the corner. Mel is awesome, she has done 2 different styles for me one with my hair down and a fun updo. I have a lot of hair and she found a way to make it look beautiful. The owner is the sweetest too, you can tell that she has thought of everything when it comes to making the overall experience memorable. Definitely going back!

I came here and saw Lilly DesRosiers. She was wonderful! I’ve had the same hair cut for 8 years and took a leap with going a bit shorter. She did a wonderful job of making me comfortable and ask my opinion. I love the cut. She was also really fun to chat with through the whole session.

Kayleigh is AMAZING. She’s kind, listened to me about what I wanted, and worked so hard to achieve what I wanted. She worked all day trying to give me what I want! I ADORE my results, my hair color and cut is perfect. Her massage was bomb too! LIke I almost fell asleep. I have never been this happy with my hair, and it’s all thanks to wonderful Kayleigh, and with the help of Chelsea, the assistant.
My hair took many hours, and she ended up re-​toning because my hair was lightening to a very brassy tone, which I really appreciated! She knew it wasn’t exactly what I wanted, and took the time to fix it for me! She didn’t just pretend it was perfect and get me out the door. I think that’s amazing, and what I was looking for in a stylist. Because we ended up retoning, and the fact that my hair was being so stubborn, my whole process took about 5 – 6 hours.
The salon is very beautiful, and comfortable. The music was good and they had fresh coffee, water, and I believe mimosas. I had plenty of magazines offered to me, and had a very relaxing day. My hair turned out great, and pretty much everyone I dealt with was great. I would love to come back for a facial.
***Okay, the only issue I have, and it’s almost a non-​issue, but I think other people have had this problem too, so I should mention it. I was quoted for a partial hair painting, and a haircut. When I went to pay, the receptionist said that I had to pay for the full hair painting. Kayleigh said that it wasn’t a full, but a partial, and she had gotten approval from the manager to charge for partial. The receptionist said to her, kind of condescendingly, that she didn’t have authorization to change the price, because of the extra time that had gone into doing my hair. Kayleigh tried to go find the manager but she had already left for the day. I was happy to pay for Kayleigh’s time and effort that she put into my hair-​But had I been charged when I was originally quoted, I would have brought product from them, but the extra amount made me unable to buy product at the time. The davines oi oil line is amazing, but I’ll have to stop by next paycheck to get some. If you value your hair and your hair stylists, make sure you have enough room in your budget to pay for it accordingly. This issue will not stop me from coming back, and I urge anyone reading this to go in, even just for a blowout or a haircut. You will love it.

I feel so fortunate to have found Noriko, the greatest hairstylist ever! She is so knowledgable and experienced. I’m very impressed with her desire to keep her fees reasonable and fair, but unfortunately the salon manager was quite rude about a discrepancy in the charge for my last service on Dec 16. And after emailing the owner, Raquel, about my concerns, I’ve yet to receive a reply! Unsatisfactory salon management. So sad, because Noriko is a gem!

Sierra was amazing! She took me from a honey blonde to a platinum blonde with NO damage. I came in after reading the reviews on Unilocal and you will not be disappointed if you come in!

Noriko has been cutting my hair for years and is the absolute best. Not only does she cut hair well, she also gives a great scalp massage!

Mel is the best.
I get real nervous when it comes to getting my bangs trimmed and she cut and styled them exactly how I asked her to. She’s the coolest hair stylist in all of Carlsbad. She’s got sweet tattoos and is so fun. Ask her to dance for you and she’ll do it. Her dance moves are ALMOST better than her hairstyling skills.
Mel is the best.

I used a Groupon to get a Brazilian Bikini Wax ($ 18). I called and was able to get a next day appointment. Once there, Tacie Ecker made me feel at ease and confident in her ability. I had some concerns because of my past experiences at other salons. She listened, and reassured me that she was going to give me all the time and attention that I needed. I would defiantly go back to this salon. I like the atmosphere and the interaction that I had here.

Siera is amazing! I wanted a pixie cut but the first hair stylist didn’t do a good job. Siera saved my hair. I didn’t know if there was a way to fix the damage, but she actually did. I love my hair. Front staff was great at finding the right person for the type of haircut I wanted. I really enjoyed my experience here and I highly recommend this place.

First of all. Let me start off by saying as a blonde this place has come to my rescue, I see Kim and she has been a miracle worker. I currently live in Seattle and gave it a good 2 years of seeing various stylists with no luck. Thankfully I found Kim and this spectacular salon and love making the trip down to get my hair done in a beautiful beachy blond tone (people in Seattle always ask who does my hair now). The best part… You can also get makeup, nails, a chair massage etc added to your service all while waiting for your hair to finish. Overall this is a super 5 star adorable salon in the heart of downtown Carlsbad that I would recommend to anyone.

Best Brazilian I have ever had! blue Brazilian wax is virtually pain free! Tecie is sweet, professional, and very knowledgeable. Salon is also very beautiful. Thank you!

From special occasion hair and make up to everyday cut and highlights this is my salon! The professionalism and welcoming touch is just the beginning! All of the staff are so fun! Love what Haley & Mel do with my hair! Thank you for making me look amazing!

Gorgeous salon! Something about it just screams class! Very well decorated and they have a ton of great products that I myself use on a daily basis!
I came in recently to get a blow up with my Groupon purchase. I don’t know if it was the weather, or my hair acting up, but sadly my curls did not stay one bit. I’m very glad I didn’t pay full price for the service because I would have been EXTREMELY bummed. I mentioned that my hair doesn’t hold a curl very well so I think my person sprayed the shit out of it with the wax. Not a good idea… Didn’t work.
The wash and massage was AMAZING though, really enjoyed that part. It was extremely humid out so that could have had an affect on my hairdo, but either way, it was pretty sad the curls didn’t last even to the car :(
Last thing– the front desk gal REALLY needs a hug. She was not very friendly when I came in (it wasn’t even busy so I can’t give you the benefit of the doubt) and you barely spoke to me when I was checking in. That would scare me off right there.
Overall this place is in a great location, and I’m sure their regular salon services are amazing, I just didn’t have much luck with my blow out.

First time getting my hair done here. I needed a new Salon and hairdresser after being disappointed in the last Salon I went to. Great experience! !!! Not only did Mel listen to what I wanted made suggestions and delivered. I love my new color and cut, I have finally found my new Salon and hairdresser. Thank you Mel, can’t wait to come back!!!

I came here with my 3 sisters and mom for my moms birthday. We bought a Groupon deal for blowouts. We all loved everything about this place.
They greeted us by name and with drinks. The shampoo was very gentle and relaxing. They use Eufora products which smell amazing. 4 of us got blowouts which turned out beautiful and one got an eyebrow wax that she said was a really nice experience.
The décor and vibe is so cute! Wood pallets with cushions for seats, succulent wall art, and fun lighting. The product is displayed so beautifully. It’s very warm and inviting and makes you not want to leave.
The staff was incredibly friendly and talkative and sweet. The manager or owner came around and offered us sangria for my moms birthday and was very friendly.
Overall, great product, great service, great décor. We can’t wait to come back for another service. This place is so cute!

What a beautiful salon! And Kayleigh is amazing.. I love The way she cuts my hair and it never feels rushed. The wash basins are the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced! The music was even good!

Though I do not live near Jayden Presleigh Salon & Spa, I started getting my hair done there because I followed my hair stylist, Haley Steele. Haley is such a talented stylist, I always know I am going to leave my appointments more than satisfied with my hair. She’s friendly, sweet, hospitable, and a great stylist. It’s obvious that she knows hair and stays up-​to-​date with the latest trends and best products for hair.
Aside from the talent, the salon itself is very impressive. I like the atmosphere and everything it has to offer. There’s even a small boutique! If you’re in the Carslbad area (or even if you’re not), I would recommend this salon and the hair (and makeup artist), Haley Steele!

A great first impression. I followed Siera from her former location. I was concerned because it has doubled the distance for me. I was welcomed and was impressed with the entire staff & environment. I knew my haircut and color would be excellent as usual, was so pleased with my 5 star experience. Steps up for sure!

This review is not just for this salon but specifically Korey the most fashionable stylist in Carlsbad. He is intuitive and listens to everything you need and gets the job done with a great attitude. I cannot recommend him enough and especially for men’s hair he is a wizard with a pair of sheers.
The salon itself is beautiful and very well equipped and makes you feel at home. They even send you text reminders for your appointments which is a godsend for me.
My only real complaint is the seating. I love this place so much I have brought a few people here and always come with someone else for back-​to-​back appointments.
I know most salons are geared to women, but I like to look good too (and what self respecting man goes to some discount barber anyway-​you don’t look that good. Pay the extra and do it right). And at 6’2″ when the seating is all very low to the ground and «petite» by my standards, it does make it a little uncomfortable while waiting for the people I bring in.

I had a groupon and a birthday coming up… These two components create the need for a birthday blow out! I have to say I absolutely love blow outs. They are the best indulgence and I love to splurge on them when I can! For my birthday blow out, I made an appointment for 6:00 pm but they had no problem accommodating me when I called the day of my appointment to start a half hour earlier (and when I was ten minutes late they didn’t make me feel guilty!)
Kim did my blow out. Unilocal friends — if you have an event coming up or if you just need a confidence boost — GO SEE KIM! I told her I wanted big, beautiful curls for my birthday tomorrow — she delivered. Seriously, I left with Victoria’s Secret model hair. And she gave me the most luxurious scalp massage. Kim totally got me in the birthday mood with my hair!
The salon itself is so cute — think succulents, damask print, water in mason jars, stemless wine glasses (filled with wine — another plus), and lots of natural light. And if you’re not sure how you want to style your hair, the TV in the salon plays through their pins on Pinterest. The salon is Pinterest come to life. I also love that they use Eufora products — I am a huge eufora fan so I trust a salon when they use the brand.
There was a slight issue with billing when I left, but I called and they got it figured it out right away. Everyone had a good attitude about it — problems are going to arise with businesses, and what matters is how the business, and their employees, deal with these problems. They did a great job. I’m still leaving them five stars because my experience was amazing all around.
I will absolutely be back and 100% would recommend this salon!
